    Fajitas

Always trying a News Mexican spot, so we gave this a shot. We ordered camarones a la diabla and vegan fajitas. Both were a complete disappointment. The camarones a la diabla seemed to be made with chipotle sauce so it was more sweet than spicy. The fajitas were mostly boiled flavorless veggies. It was very disappointing

I have been coming here for years and they never fail to produce good food, great service and a comfortable atmosphere. This is not high gourmet Mexican food but it is very good.

Rio Grande is a great place for a quick, cost effective Mexican fix! You can't go wrong with the their dinner combinations at such a great price. The fajitas are also a great option but it's so much food! Margaritas are also good, but make sure you have a designated driver to get home because they make 'em strong! There is a slight wait on seating on most days, so come fully prepared for that. And if not then even better!

Server was quick and nice the place is kind of small but it was an overall nice atmosphere me and my Fiancé enjoyed our evening out at the Rio Grande

Salsa and chips are great- warm chips and flavorful salsa

Roxana was friendly, helpful with our order professional and efficient! The food was hot and very flavorful. I got the bare chimichanga with Pico on the side as I prefer that instead of the cheese. They did let me have the cheese on the side so the table could enjoy.. great service!! We literally just left Cracker Barrel and had such awful service we were looking for something reliable... and we got it. He got vegetarian special D. He loves their bean and cheese ... anything because of how creamy they are and pretty much his favorite in the area. I tried his little quesadilla and it was delicious! They are reliable and for us- very close to home....

My friends at work and my Mr. raves about this place. My Mr. has been dining here since his college years. That was 14 years ago. I know this place has been here awhile but you can see that it's solid. We were running some errands in the area and decided to dine in for lunch. It's not so big, quiet and clean. The service is SUPER fast. We got our chips and salsa as soon as we sit down. It took a few minutes to order. I wanted a regular lime Margarita. Then after I got my drink, we ordered. I got the a la carte 2 hard shell beef tacos and my Mr got the beef burrito lunch special with rice and beans. I kid you not, our meals were out in less than 7 minutes. Food was hot and delicious. My Margarita was refreshing and went well with my meal. I can see why my Mr likes here so much. The pricing is reasonable and the food is really good. Next time we come back, I have to try the queso my friends raves about from work.

I've been to this spot numerous times, especially during my college days at NKU, because it was always great and very affordable on a college kid budget. Many years later, I wanted to bring my lady here so she could try it too, and I knew she'd enjoy it. And yes, it's still great after all these years! Their menu isn't as huge as many other Mexican restaurants, but what they do, they do incredibly well. My lady and I came for lunch after a workout at the nearby Planet Fitness. I've always liked the laid back and relaxed vibe here. Plus they have your food ready SUPER fast and it's always delicious. My lady ordered a classic lime margarita which was very refreshing. As for our food, she ordered ground beef tacos a la carte, and I went with one of my all time favorites the burrito grande. Our food was ready in less than 10 minutes and every bite was just as good as I remembered. We were definitely satisfied and full after we finished. And though prices have gone up a little since my college years, it's still very affordable and worth it. I was a little bummed that I no longer see huevos rancheros on their menu, because they made some of the best I've ever had, but I still really like it here. I have a feeling my lady and I will be back again sometime.

Not much to say other than it's your average Mexican restaurant. The chips, salsa, and queso are good, but nothing different than other places. I ordered the carnitas and was a little disappointed. They came out with no seasoning. Big chunks of pork with very little flavor. Other Mexican restaurants with fry them a little or give a special sauce or salsa. The steak quesadilla was good. Lots of meat in it which was great. I might come back if around the area, but nothing to be sought after.

My wife and I were in the mood to try something new to us, so we popped in for a dinner date. The restaurant space is pretty large, especially for Mt. Adams. It's sort of an indoor/outdoor location, with a large covered patio and large garage doors that open the indoor space in all directions. Certainly a nice place to visit when the weather is good, but the food is just as good as the location, and therefore worthy of a visit no matter the season. My wife and I shared a pitcher of margaritas ($26.99 for the gold), and they were very tasty. Even though they were not prepared to order, it did seem that they had been prepared recently and had great fresh ingredients. My typical Mexican restaurant order is the chimichanga. Theirs is a large tortilla, filled with shredded chicken, beans, and cheese, deep-fried, and topped with lettuce, guacamole, tomato, and sour cream. This is served with rice and beans ($15.25). This was very good and the ingredients were fresh! My wife ordered the chile verde, a delicious plate of slow-cooked pork simmered in a savory green chile sauce. Again served with rice and beans, along with tortillas on the side ($18.50). Another really good dish, and one that is not very common in the Cincinnati area. Go give it a try!
