I've been here twice in the last month and I've had great food each time! First time, my friend and I split a half order of pineapple guac. We really liked the sweet mild heat mixed with the creamy avocado. I enjoyed my guac while sipping on a fruity pineapple margarita with a cinnamon rim! For tacos, we each ordered three. In hindsight, two would be perfect if you're having any sort of appetizer! I ordered the Korean bbq, Dutch dragon, and el tradicional. I really like the two layer soft+hard shell tacos. The soft shell is like a structural secret to keep the crunchy shell from disintegrating. The Korean bbq was my absolute favorite! Spicy gochujang and pineapple salsa brought a ton of flavor to the pulled pork. El tradicional was a well balanced chorizo taco. The Dutch dragon was my least favorite as I didn't really care for the texture of mushrooms as the main component of the taco. The second time, we were a party of 8 and split the trio of guac. We ran out of chips before we ran out of guac. I ordered the Korean bbq again (because it's so good!) and sweet heat. We were having such a great time I totally forgot photos. Been wanting to get here for awhile now and was able to work it in before our day of looking at art prize! What a cool and hopping place; we were the second table/patrons there (just before 11:30) but by the time we were done it had filled up for lunch. Xavier was our server and just a pleasant and friendly guy: he was our friend loved that he used that phrase! can tell he likes what he does. Anyway, the food and drinks were lived up to the hype and delivered on flavor and taste. I got the marg flight I've been waiting forever to try and Yummy was it good: muddled jalapeño, strawberry, and prickly pear were my choices and I'd recommend. The food was so fresh and delicious! Every bite filled with flavor: the guacamole was extra tasty because of the pico they pile on top, and I got the nachos which were amazing- look at my pictures. This was my first time here , on a beautiful Wednesday evening. My friend and I were on our way from Knickerbocker to One Bourbon - via a brief stop at Sovengard's beer garden - and as we walked past Condado figured we would pop in and give it a try. First, it was much larger than I anticipated, with a sizable amount of tables, bar seating, and a spacious outdoor area off the back. I liked the overall vibe of the place and we took seats at the bar. For food the options are, surprise, tacos! But they had a wide variety of them as well as chips and various salsas. I tried the Korean BBQ taco and the Heater (a steak taco with a bit of jalapeño heat) and both were excellent. My friend had the Hearer and several other tacos and enjoyed them all. For drinks they have an impressive assortment of tequilas, a good variety of cocktails, and around 8-10 beers on tap plus some cheaper varieties of canned beers. So a good mix of drinks for a wide range of tastes, I felt. The prices for the food seemed reasonable ($4-5.50 for tacos) and the drinks seem mid-priced compared to other downtown places; not cheap but not overpriced. Parking will be like for all the other Bridge Street eateries: Maybe you get lucky and find a street spot or otherwise park in a lot a few blocks away. Some colleagues and I were looking for some lunch nearby the other day and someone suggested checking Condado out and I am SO glad we did! This is easily my new favorite taco place. When you walk in, you can't help but notice how fun the place is decorated. So many bright colors and fun murals which make it a cool atmosphere. Tons of seating both indoors and outside (the inside opens to a large outdoor patio in the back). The menu has a variety of different tacos with unique combinations of ingredients. I just had two of the Plain Janes which came with chips/queso for my lunch and I loved every single bite. The Kewl Ranch shell was different, but in a really good way. It made a typical taco stand out with extra flavor. You can also build your own taco if you aren't feeling the menu options. The queso that came with my meal was some of the best queso I've had and the chips were really fresh and tasty. Service was great and I'm really looking forward to coming back soon, especially when I'm not working and can order some margaritas which I'm sure are delicious! read more

Condado takes tacos to a whole new level with so many different flavors and combinations, not only is the atmosphere fun and vibrant but how different and amazing the tacos are just make every time there a fun experience. Disclaimer- these are not authentic tacos, but add a whole different spin to them that somehow makes tacos even better! I know you're wondering, but how is that even possible?! So just try it. I didn't realize a "flight of tacos" was a real thing, but there are so many different options to choose from and try that you can literally go here and get a flight of tacos! The staff is always really friendly and great, but we had Aaliyah as our waitress today and she was seriously so amazing! She was really helpful giving me suggestions when I wanted to try something different, was very friendly and just gave us really great service. I didn't realize how all of the tacos are customizable, even the named ones. I told Aaliyah what I liked and she recommended I try the Lucy's Fire taco, but instead of chicken I get chorizo. Ok first of all....I'm so sad this place opened after we sold our condo down the street! I'd be here like everyday! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Beyond delicious! We popped in on a Saturday just before noon - we were only planning on staying for a margarita (or two). Welp, that did not happen.. we ended up hanging out for a few hours and had a blast! We sampled a lot of margaritas - the flight is a great way to taste a few, and the samples are not small! I liked the mezcalita the most, as it prefer the smokey taste of mescal. I did find that all the margaritas I tried were a little sweeter than i had hoped. Not bad, but after the second one I definitely needed to switch to a beer. No craft beer to be found on their menu, all Mexican beers with a White claw and Miller, too. I forgot how much I like Modelo! After a few drinks we ordered they dirty queso... SO GOOD. SO SMALL! lol I think this is a personal sized dish, but that's just my opinion. Plenty of chips for 2, but the dip size was tiny. The Corn and Roja salsa are also good! No complaints. Our bartender was awesome, we never waited on a beer or drink. Inside is super fun - great murals from a local artist! They have a cute little patio out back - lots of heaters! Recently went, as this was the only spot open on Bridge St. with a bar that was serving food on a Sunday night. I have avoided this place simply due to the fact that there are authentic neighboring restaurants that need support; it is insulting to place this restaurant next to theirs and just goes to show how Grand Rapids values minorities. However, when we ordered our chips and dip, we were only provided with a handful of cold, stale chips. We had to repeatedly ask for more chips. Other than this, the service was sub par. I ordered a margarita as well, and we all were satisfied with how strong and tasty our drinks were. When it came to the food, it was the biggest let-down. Both the soft and hard shell tacos that I ordered were cold and the meat tasted old. After eating I had the worst stomach ache; I was unable to finish my meal. We were not asked how things were tasting so we could provide our feedback on our dishes. Taco Bell would leave you with a better feeling. read more

I went on a weekday after work and there was a little bit of a wait--but we only waited 25 minutes. I ordered a pineapple margarita which had the potential to be too sweet but it was actually the perfect amount. My friend ordered the Paloma--also not too sweet--and we ordered the appetizer nachos. Given the price for the app, we thought it would be a small plate of nachos. It arrived on a large tray and the toppings were layered throughout the chips--not just on top like at other places! And they were so good--chips had a perfect crunch and just the right amount of salt and smothered in queso. I'll be back for the tacos and margarita flight next time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because our server was rushing us. From the time we were seated to the time we got up was only 45 minutes. I'm basing this review solely on our takeout experience. This was our first time trying Condado (and it will NOT be our last). I was hoping to get delivery but I'm assuming it wasn't available because of it being Valentine's Day as well as having a winter weather advisory at the same time. My husband went down to pick them up and said the inside of the restaurant is nice, new and well-decorated. The only pain is parking in order to go and get your order. The order itself was fast. I ordered the box that came with 2 tacos, chips and a dip. It was only $10! I added salsa roja which ended up coming with an additional bag of chips. I got the traditional (which had chorizo in it) as well as the el santo ( a roasted chicken taco with both a hard and soft shell with queso in between!) I would definitely order that taco again. It was SO good! I got the guac witho pico for my dip choice and it was a generous portion. I will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! The chips are really thick and crunchy - just the right amount of salt too. My husband did a build your own nachos and couldn't finish the portion was so big. Between the three of us we got the following tacos: Baja Shrimp, The Heater, and Dutch Dragon. Dutch Dragon was the only one that got a "really good" review. The other two, meh. We got three salsas: rojo, verde, and pineapple. They were all pretty good. We got two flights of margaritas: Blackberry, Muddled Jalapeño, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Prickly Pear, and Peach. The Muddled Jalapeño and Pineapple were YUM! We could barely tell the difference between the other flavors. The flavoring was very subtle. We'd def go back for drinks and chips and salsa, but I'm not sure if we would for tacos, and we LOVE tacos. They are a staple in our family. read more

Where do I start? The tacos, the margaritas, the atmosphere... they're all amazing! First off, these are not street tacos so if that's what you're looking for you may want to look elsewhere. These tacos are large and in charge and full of deliciousness! As a person with a dairy allergy I was really impressed with with staff's ability to alter items for me or I can build my own taco instead. As for the drinks I have been continually pleased and if I can't decide what to get I go for the flight option to get the best of it all.
