I asked his opinion of what might be best for my face and he suggested a brow lift and a facelift which included my neck. The thought of the brow lift initially scared me so I was reticent and thought perhaps I shouldn't do it. What I loved was that Dr. Lavey did not push me into the brow lift it at all. After another consult I decided to proceed with the brow lift in addition to my facelift and I'm so glad I did. What a huge difference. I was given a prescription for a strong pain medication to use after the procedure if I wanted, but I never needed anything other than over the counter Tylenol. All that worrying was for not because there was no pain with my procedures! It's more of a weird feeling because things are tight and numb. Incredible! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. First, I can't breathe properly out of my nose, and second my nostrils are different sizes one smaller than the other and the tip is very bullbous. Most upsetting, I have a piece of the graft that protrudes from the skin on the top of my nose that is noticeable. It will cost me probably triple to have it revised. I wish I had done more research.
