The location is not nearly as good as the coffee. A tiny little shop when you walk in with a few tables to congregate at. If you are looking for a coffee shop to work at it may be a good one as the music is not too loud. Personally I can't stand when the music is too loud because then it is hard to focus and you can't take a call. Back to the reason you are there though, COFFEE. The espresso is pulled nicely with a good creme. I like the cappuccino and use the liquid sugar to spruce it up. Overall it is hard to park but I enjoy the coffee every time I go. read more

Tired of that old Starbucks coffee that tastes like transmission fluid and you can't believe you just paid $4 for that? That's how I feel about Starbucks. Overpriced, mass-produced coffee without a real barista. Their espresso drips are usually burnt and makes me cringe every time I opt to drink coffee at SB, so I just stopped getting coffee there about six years ago. I love espresso, and they do espresso right here. It's made with a personal touch by the ultra awesome barista with a lip piercing, Sumi. The prices are about the same as other coffee places and they use fair-trade coffee which I like. I mean, if the price is about the same as any other coffee place, and they use fair trade coffee beans, does that mean the rest of the coffee places that doesn't use fair trade coffee beans are ripping us off? Probably. The vanilla chai latte was also on point, not too sweet, not too watered down by milk, and the chai was not as gingery as I wanted it, but still very good. I haven't tried their baked goods as I usually grab an espresso with a twist of lemon and a KoP popsicle afterwards and leave. I must go back for some espresso fix and some of their meat platters that they serve here. read more

I came upon Condesa Coffee via Scoutmob, and I have to say, thank goodness I did! I'm rarely in this area, but I will personally drive over here to sit down at this coffeeshop and enjoy their craft-brewed coffee. They have a large selection of different roasts that rotate by the days. The baristas create beautiful lattes, and they even have a drip coffee on tap if that's your preference. Condesa coffee is a fine place to study. Indeed, most of the people here are working or studying. It's a little overpriced and the interior design is a little too sterile for my taste. But because of it's close location to georgia state campus, I go here often to study and would recommend it to anyone who wants to study away from the library, but still only a short walk away! read more

This place is a medium walk from my new place. I'd been to Inman Perk and liked the atmosphere and wifi, but the coffee was sort of weak. I was looking for a place that was a little more into espresso, so I tried here. Condesa serves Intellegensia coffee, and it's always a good sign when a coffee shop serves a machiato. My machiato was good, the place has a nice decor, the people were friendly. It's not the greatest location for foot traffic, so it doesn't get that crowded. read more

A great local coffee shop that serves delicious coffees, teas, and alcohols; their food selection is delicious and always local and organic. The staff is very friendly and works hard to make the customers happy. Definitely go here and support a local business! The only reason this place is getting a 4 instead of 5 is the wait time. My boyfriend and I got there around 9:50 AM on a Saturday and didn't get our first drink until 10:25; food until 10:30. It really wasn't that busy. It was delicious, but I think they should have an extra person on staff to help make things go more quickly. read more

Great drip coffee! All drips made through the V60 technique are simply fantastic. Can not find better drip coffee anywhere! Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable. Only had an espresso drink once, short americano, and it was pulled nicely and I dig the fresh intelli beans. Now, I was just in today (2-15) and noticed they have finally started selling fresh beans from intelligentsia. Was really looking forward to this, but was HIGHLY disappointed with the price. Seriously, $15 for ..half a pound of the black cat espresso blend. Way over priced!! I'd really like to know who buys beans at this price? word of advice if you actually want to sell these beans and not let them sit on the shelves and get old, LOWER the price!! will stop in again for the great drip, but not to buy beans at that ridiculous price. This is the best coffee I've had east of Tuscon. I'd also like to say that the customer service here was incredible. The guy who made and brought out my coffee was a true gentleman and a top notch barista. I own a coffee shop back in CA, and like to think I know a bit about coffee. The macchiato was smooth and the shot was pulled perfectly. I got the full flavor without a hint of burning. The pour over was beyond delicious and the presentation of both were splendid. I am SO impressed. Thank you Condesa for restoring my faith in coffee in the South. I've had average, above average, and even great coffee in the south, but this was the first time I've had coffee that was on par with our Cali coffee shops. Coffee was GREAT! The cashier/barista NOT SO MUCH. I shoulda have asked for his name but I guess he would not have given it since he was ignoring me and pretending he couldn't hear me half the time. He also took my pictures behind the coffee machine as if I was dumb and blind not to notice it? It scaredme and creeped me out at the same time. If you have a problem - just say it, don't sneak take pics of customers. My friend was trying to pay with Apple pay and he was muttering under his breathe complaining he had to put the items in first - We were not rushing him at all but were checking if we can use Apple pay. So I said to his face that it was not very nice of him to talk like that and treat me friend like that. He said he did not say anything - as if we were deaf ? Afterwards, he made one brewed coffee for me and an iced one for NO ONE as my friend ordered Iced latte. So I pointed that out to him - nicely said I think he ordered iced latte. HE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME. Then later when the right latte was ready - he said the iced coffee was for someone else. Funny because there was no one else :)..... We finally sat down and he took his phone out and was obviously taking my pictures and I stared at his phone facing me and when he noticed that, he awkwardly changed the angle to as if he was taking picture of the coffee grinder... what? I called him out the second time he was taking my picture and he said he was taking picture of the coffee grinder. WHAT? You would take the picture of coffee grinder out of no where for what? Lol. I saw the good reviews for this spot and was excited to try it out, but was ultimately disappointed with the coffee quality. I will say they are doing a great job with COVID restrictions by keeping all ordering and pick-up outdoors. I got an iced latte with oat milk, and I did not taste any coffee at all. Seriously, it was oat milk with a splash of coffee. So disappointing because these drinks are not cheap. It's $0.75 extra for oat milk, but that doesn't mean I want to drink exclusively oat milk. I would not get this latte again. My boyfriend got a quadruple espresso shot with some sugar. It was undrinkable. Something was so completely off about the taste; maybe it was burnt? It tasted nothing like espresso or even sugar. It had to have been a mistake on the part of the barista. I never like to leave bad reviews for local spots but this was really a swing and a miss. Great job with COVID and parking is easy/free around the corner, but the main draw should be the coffee, and that didn't deliver. read more

Let's be clear. These guys know their coffee. Service was quick. This should get them 4 stars. But the atmosphere of the place is very over done. I think I've seen the same metal chairs in dozens of coffee houses. The wood tables as well. The whole faux-industrial thing just grinds my gears. I went here for the first time this morning with my husband and really love it! We just moved 1 block away from it so we walked there this morning to try it out. The coffee was awesome, I got an iced mocha and my husband got a cappuccino. I had the quiche for breakfast and it was REALLY good. I will definitely be back for more coffee and breakfast. The only thing that kept me from giving this place 5 stars was because there was a customer in there who was clearly flirting with the employee by singing at the top of her lungs whatever song was on the radio. It wouldn't have been a good place to read/study or stay and enjoy breakfast. I don't really know if the shop could help that but I don't think it would have been rude to ask her to act like she was an adult and use an indoor voice! read more

A high quality coffee shop that takes their coffee seriously. Food: perfect and wonderful latte's, single origin coffees and regular coffee as well. They also have a really great house made sparking water that is free. Their bocatas are also tasty and will have to try the quiche next time before they run out. Service: very helpful and on it. Everyone that's worked there so far has been quite dapper. They know their coffee. Decor: modern/industrial. Really clean looking and will all the windows is extremely bright, particularly in the afternoons. Not the kind of place I'd go for a couple of hours to read, but maybe to work- I've heard their internet is blazing. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because there isn't a whole lot else around it. I don't mind the location, and being right near the Freedom Parkway Trail is sweet, but hopefully some other businesses will open up next door. read more

Tried this place on the way to a restaurant. The restaurant is in a decent location with free two hour parking. The barista was not very friendly, although he was patient while we asked questions. I ordered a caramel almond milk latte, as advised by the barista. He gave it to me iced, although I asked for it hot. When I said something about it, he just looked at me and walked away. I just took it so I did not have to make a fuss. The coffee was not great and I didn't like the caramel syrup. My husband got a vanilla latte which tasted a lot better. My experience was sub par at best. Hope yours is better than mine. read more

Aah, to study at a new location before said place gets way too crowded and you have to hover for a teeny-tiny table. I was never a hoverer, so Condesa was a welcome change of venue from the other nearby coffee shops. Really nice layout with plenty of seating, all bathed in natural sunlight. Service can be spotty, as I had to remind the barista of my order (just regular coffee) on a couple of occasions. The baristas were nice enough, and they have the cutest uniforms. I tried their lemon cake (pretty good) and their house made sodas (lemongrass - so deliciously refreshing!). I know that this will be my neighborhood spot for strong cup of coffee. Lets just hope I can still occasionally get a table once this place gets more popular. read more

I love this place! I came here today for the first time and I loved it. It had all the things I look for in a coffee shop plus more. Great coffee and drinks? Check. I had a latte and my bf had an iced mocha. Both were delicious. I can appreciate a cafe that has both good hot and cold coffee. In addition, the presentation of the coffee is so pretty! I felt so special with my heart coffee. Great ambiance? Check. I was there on a pleasure trip but several people were studying and this place is totally great for either one. There is a great view of the outside and lots of interesting people passing by. For studying, it is quiet enough and there is good lighting. There is enough seating and several different options: bar stools with a view, outdoor seating, tables, and couches. Great staff? Check. The two guys who were working today were so sweet and cute. And their outfits were very very cute. Loved it. They definitely made the place fun and gave it a lighthearted environment. And those are the necessities for a great coffee shop. The extras are: cafe is very visually appealing. I love their logo, the decor, and the staff. They have parking outside on the street and also in the adjoining garage. I pop in and out of Condesa semi-regularly these days, and I definitely like it. It's not really my "style" when it comes to decor/atmosphere, but the coffee is great, the baristas are pretty darn awesome, and it's super convient to my casa. I'm excited that they have baked goods from Navarro, the same guy who did zucchini bread and banana bread at Danneman's. Can't remember the name of his bakery, but he makes the best zucchini bread ever. So, in short, yay for Condesa, just not my most favorite coffee shop ever. read more

These guys had just opened a few months before I visited. I loved their coffee and the vibe of the place. Coffee or cocktails - depends on the time of day or maybe just your mood I guess. My favorite thing about this place is the location. Nestled in the Old Fourth Ward, this coffee shop is at the corner of Freedom Pkwy and Boulevard. It's also right next to the Freedom trail, making it easy for bikers and walkers. I've only had their regular coffee. It was good, medium roast. According to the barista, they don't do dark roasts. All their coffee is sourced from Chicago-based Intelligentsia, which is a favorite of mine. The atmosphere is somewhat Octane-esque. Industrial, modern, concrete, and a fantastic floor-to-ceiling view of downtown. My only beef with this place is, at this point anyway, the walls seem barren. I suggest some type of space where people can post community events or hang art. read more

I came here because of the good yelp reviews and I got the shaker (caramel) because someone suggested it. So tasty! I asked for not too much of the caramel and it's just the perfect amount of sweetness. I forgot to specify which type of milk but it has a delightful lightness so not heavy at all. It's delicious as it is but I think would also be very tasty with almond milk as well! Haven't gotten to try any of their food yet but looks delicious! Light pastries and such. read more
