Took my stage piano in for some issues with note velocity. They properly diagnosed the issue on the first shot and ordered the necessary part. The repair seemed to go well and my piano was put back together accurately without me noticing a difference in the key feel, and the piano and its velocity mappings fire off perfectly now. Something that seemed intimidating to me was very routine for them - they are clearly experienced and knowledgeable with keyboards/stage pianos, even the ones with "fancy" key actions. They communicated time frame, set proper expectations along the way, and were super friendly and assuring the whole time. The price for service was also reasonable. If while pulling up behind the small building on Aurora, you begin to wonder if you're at the same establishment being described in this review, with all its professionalism, you are. I recently brought in the intercom panel for my condo building for repair. The panel is 30 years old and is now obsolete. Duncan performed the soldering repairs I needed in under 5 minutes. I just got my Juno 106 and Vox AC30 repaired by Condor and despite initial frustration (I showed up at a time they said they would be open and no employee was there at the time their voicemail said they would be open--wasting an hour of my time and 20 dollars on Lyfts), I ended up having a fantastic experience because they discounted me the lost $20 and did a fantastic job repairing my synthesizer and amplifier. I will absolutely be returning to Condor next time my I'm in the unfortunate situation of having a piece of equipment break or malfunction. A M A Z I N G !! Sorry guys that it took me so long to write a review, but finally set up a yelp account... I went there last year, to have my TLAudio Fat Track fixed. I brought that device with me when I moved to Seattle from Germany. That device is no longer manufactured, the company from UK sadly doesn't exist anymore. I was in shock, when I wasn't able to switch it on anymore, also there was a couple fader's making scratch noises. So how to produce music any further without that nice analog tube touch? No problem, they fixed it! They had a transformer (240V = 120V) in house, fixed a fuse, and even cleaned some fader's, did some tests, and it is working again, I can't be happier. I paid a little extra for a rush fee, so it was done quite fast over the weekend. The price was fair, excellent work. Highly recommend. read more

These guys are rock stars. I had an emergency (headset mic broke right before a big gig), and Alden was able to fix it IMMEDIATELY. Not only that, he was eager to do it: curious about how he could solve the problem ("may I see that? I'm pretty good with physical repair"), almost mischievously excited to use his mad skills...and it was fixed within 20 minutes, *better than before it broke.* I'm delighted to have found Condor. Expensive, yes - and they explained over the phone that I'd have to pay a $50 rush fee, in addition to the minimum $80 for half an hour of labor - but TOTALLY worth it. I have dropped off to Condor five pieces of 70's Crown stereo gear with a list of what was wrong, and every piece has come back not fixed. They will clean up a few things, charge me $175, and not fix the problem. Of the pieces I brought in, I got complaints from three buyers, one where I actually paid another shop $175 to remedy the Crown Equalizer that they had just gone thru. My latest, a Crown 150A, was returned exactly as the others; I had provided a list of what was wrong, they cleaned up a couple of things, charged me $125, and I when I plugged it in, not one thing I had taken it in for had been fixed. I patiently returned it and asked them to fix it, noting that it was important to actually fix it, and that price was not the issue. After having the amp for months, and three queries as to when it would be done, I was told that the amp was ready. When I asked Peter if I could get some credit from the previous repair, I was told no. We ended up in a circular conversation that ended up with me paying $500 and Peter saying he was offended. I never actually figuring out what he was offended at...A bit of a prima donna is how he came across. These guys do not warrantee their work, and when I asked, Peter became rude, and argumentative. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MARSHALL TO THIS PLACE!!! To bad Yelp makes you select at least one star, otherwise I would give NO stars!! Condor Electronics may be good at working on a variety of audio equipment, but when it comes to Marshall guitar amps, I give a big THUMBS DOWN!! I had a horrible experience with them, they butchered my amp....apparently my amp was their 'Guinea Pig' with them trying to figure out how to fix certain Marshall amps...but months later (with no response to my phone calls to them...) and hundreds of dollars later, my amp was a mess!! Basically the amp is unusable, as it was when I brought it in to them (although it went from no sound, to horrible sound once they did their hack-job experimentation....) This review is no joke, I am totally serious with it....I've played professionally, recording in major studios with well-known producers in Seattle and New York. My saving grace is that I have other Marshall amps to use, and recently acquired a Kemper to 'clone' my amps. Oh well....lesson learned, stick with guitar amplifier techs that you know and trust.... read more

Please read some more reviews of this place. I wish I had before I dropped off a speaker that needed repair. Difficult to find and no where to park but I got it there. I told them I needed it in 2 weeks and they wanted to charge a rush fee of $40-$50. 2 weeks for a single speaker repair is a rush? No thank you, the repair cost was already looking like $180 ish which was nearly more than the speaker was worth. They assured me that used parts could be chosen and used to do the repair so the cost would be lower and worth it. I took the claim tag and left with them promising to call me with the results of opening it up. Weeks pass. I called, no answer. I left messages, no response. I was leaving the area soon and left more messages as a month had nearly passed. I was busy doing an intense amount of work a distance away and could not get there to show up in person. I ended up leaving because I couldn't get them to respond. 3-4 months later. 3, nearly 4 months later I get a phone call. A gruff and surly person told me the repair of the speaker would total between $180+. Now I would also have to pay for shipping out of state, an extra $40-50! Now the price is soaring to $250-$300 or so to repair it with used parts AND we no longer had the speaker in our possession. When he suggested that I needed to pay them for looking at it I got more upset. Did I mention the guy was being a jerk? When I inquired why it had taken nearly 4 months to even get a phone call back he retorted that this wasn't his only job and he had a lot to do trying to keep junk out of the junkyard and his own music career. Yes, ok. 4 months though? He got downright rude when I suggested that he should pay to ship it to me since I was no longer in the state and had tried to reach them on multiple occasions. I figured that going at least half with me on it would be an ok thing but he got angry. I agreed to pay for the shipping and I am shocked to say that I did actually get it back. Unfixed and out $40 in shipping for a headache. Don't ever go here. You deserve respect and at very least, a phone call back. read more

Took my keyboard to diagnose/fix my output jacks not to exceed $300. This cost me a prepaid $165 including tax. They originally said this would be no problem. When I picked it up, I received a piece of paper describing some things I already knew (the LCD backlight didn't work and the output jackets cut in and out), but the tech admitted he never opened the unit or did any mechanical testing. They told me it was old and not worth fixing. Hmm - why did I pay you money to repeat the symptoms I described back to me? They stubbornly stood behind their "work." Overall, poor customer service and overpriced. I later found out that Kennelly Keys uses a repairman in Stanwood who actually helps you. I suggest you contact them. read more

Here it is. ------------------------------------------------------- Let me begin by stating: they did good work on my device. However, I would never come back here again (and in fact, I was told not to come back). see my story below, but the bottom line is that my transaction here was the worst customer-service experience I've ever had. I've never been treated so shabbily. They aimed to charge me over 150% of the original estimate, and this included extra work I didnt ask for. ------------------------------- The story: I brought in an EHX pedal with a broken on/off switch. The estimate was $90 ($2 switch+$80 half-hour/labor). I mentioned to the guy that if the estimate had been over $100, I would probably have just bought a new pedal. Two weeks later, the pedal is ready. To my surprise, they want $152. Although I specifically (only) asked for the on/off switch, the tech replaced 2 faders (that worked fine but were cosmetically damaged) and a footswitch (that never gave me any previous trouble). I appreciated the additional work, but i did not feel I was financially responsible for work I didn't ask for. That's when the employees became hostile. The tech said "excuse me! for taking extra care of your equipment" then threw his hands in my direction (as if to shoo me away) and stormed to the back room in a hissy. the guy behind the register then condescendingly and confrontationally said "we do good work here. we keep old equipment out of landfills. i'll take off $50 but it's just not right." Under the most awkward and silent circumstances, I hand him my credit card and he runs it. Minutes of awful silence pass and I then say, "look, i'm not confrontational. I'm sorry about all this." To which he responds (again, with a shitty tone) "this happens all the time. next time, take your business to American." So basically, even though they were wrong (and admitted as much by reducing the $total), they made sure they made me feel like shit. I worked as a restaurant server/busser/host for 7 years, and I always treat customer service people with respect. if they have problems all the time, perhaps their shitty business practices are to blame, read more

Recently, I brought two items to be repaired, an outboard synthesizer and an electronic keyboard. I asked if I could pick up my gear in 15 days when I come back through town. "No problem!" was the answer. When I returned, one item was ready but had to come back a week later for the other. I explained that this would cost me a day of my time, RT ferry fare plus gas, about $60.00. No apology. When I came back, a week later to pick it up, the employee totaled the bill up. When I gave my reasons of asking for a reduction in my bill, he proceeded with several arguments of which all went nowhere. Finally, because he was an employee, could not make any adjustments to the bill. The Master Technician, Peter Toms then came up who could. "I am extremely uncomfortable discussing this!" The generally pleasant, warm and laid back vibe in the room changed quickly to that of cold and acrid. "I'll offer you $30.00 back with the guarantee that you don't come back here again." At this point, I just wanted the exit door and responded, "I will pay full price, thank you." "Oh, you want to write a review! That really hurts my business. We don't make that much around here," he retorted. I certainly understood why but wondered why he was so afraid that I would write a review about his shop. It did not occur to me to even go online and do that. Later, when I looked up Condor Electonics and read similar experiences as mine, I got it. What did I loose? I lost a shop that offers quality workmanship, though somewhat expensive. What did I gain? I learned a valuable lesson about compassion for others that I do business with. I remembered the golden rule that a shopkeeper passes on to his employees, The Customer Is Always Right and that in every good business transaction Both Sides Win! Was having trouble with an electrical connection in my Line 6 DT50 guitar amplifier. I had extended warranty coverage on the amp thru Sweetwater Music, but I had to send the amp out of state. Considering the shipping costs, and lead time to have the equipment out of service, I decided to see these guys at Condor Electronics. I knew the repairs wouldn't be covered by the factory warranty, and lead time was still a big concern. I brought the amp in on a Friday and was told the next day I could come and pick it up! I came by on Monday, and was charged only a minimum shop charge. Great work guys on getting this turned around so quickly. Amp works great! read more

Highly questionable customer service. In June of 2014 I contacted Condor Electronics about repairing an Electrix Repeater. They said, "most of what I was describing" would be covered by a flat fee service they offered of $250. I agreed to do this and shipped them the unit. There was no paperwork up front. They just asked me to enclose a letter with it. I did this and in it stated clearly that I wanted the $250 service they had suggested. They held on to the unit until October, when I finally received a phone call. they said they had done lots of work on it and that it was ready to go. They never mentioned a price but said they would send an invoice by email. I was shocked to say the least when I received the invoice and it was for $501.20, more than twice the agreed to price of $250! I was never given any kind of revised estimate. I was also never told of their hourly rate up front. There was no need since I had only agreed to a flat fee service. I was also never given the option of a bench fee once they had received and examined the unit. There was simply no communication at all until they had gone ahead and completed repairs. It feels a little like taking your car into a service station for a brake job and they also install new tires and a new color paint job without ever contacting you. I have tried to offer several compromises, including meeting them more than halfway on the price, and perhaps selling the unit to them for parts. Their fee is simply more than the unit is worth. I have never received any response to these suggestions and to date they still have possession of my unit, so I can't speak to the quality of their work which I would hope is superior to their customer service. read more

I dropped off a disc player to get an estimate and was told it would be two weeks. After hearing nothing for a month, I called and was told "Oh! We'll work on that today." Another month went by and they still hadn't gotten to it. I finally picked it up and took it somewhere else. Also - they say they open at 10am, but twice I've waited for 15 minutes or more and no one showed up to open the shop. These people are disorganized and unprofessional. read more

If you had a good experience here, be grateful, but I would measure a business's integrity on how they deal with their mistakes. Based on this, I would strongly recommend you take your gear elsewhere. Peter's repairs caused $441 in damage (which I discovered when I got home). When I called back, he profusely apologized and offered to replace the broken part. Weeks later once he realized the cost of replacement parts he stated "yes I broke it, but it was already cracked" - something he conveniently recalled at this point, but not when he took my payment for the initial repairs and released the mic to me, nor when he conveyed he had not noticed it and "of course" he would fully repair it at no cost. His new solution was to fashion a makeshift replacement for the broken part (not acceptable on a precision Neumann U87). His last words were "take it or leave it". I chose to leave the hack job, suggest you do the same with Condor. Check out the "non recommended" Yelp reviews on Condor as you will get a better idea of their business practices. read more

PSR S970 Yamaha keyboard. USB port not recognizing zip-drive and USB window would not open. Took it to Condor who called us to pick it up in 2 days (cool, but still didn't work). We took it back and a different fellow who said "We ARE Yamaha," wasted 10 minutes aggressively telling my son that the USB port wasn't a port and that the zip-drive we had wasn't supposed to be used there, and the only way to upload expansion packs was "through the fire-wire". My son proved he was wrong and that's when it became evident that the employee doesn't know what a USB port or a zip-drive is, or how to work on a $2000.00 2016 Yamaha PSR. No apology for the ignorant attack was forthcoming (they called this " ...just an honest mistake"). The owners response, "You have to bring it back for us to fix it again, because we talked about it and know you must be using a bad zip-drive." I guess his employee didn't pass along the fact that we used 3 different ones, and none worked. The second fellow there that day said that he thought the lady who worked on it didn't solder it well enough. So, we called the "Real Yamaha" company because we were too freaked out to leaved it there and went back to pick it up before they could work on it again. Yamaha recommended another vendor who has a lot more experience with newer Yamaha keyboards and it turns out that the USB ports cannot just be soldered back on because the main frame is machine made, so they will keep popping off. The entire mainframe piece must be replaced. Head further south of the city and you'll find the other guy they sent me to(there was actually another PSR S970 there at his shop for sound issues). My son said he "spoke Yamaha, very well," was experienced, and didn't say anything negative about the other guys, just why soldering wouldn't work. Yamaha has an excellent reputation for parts and machines and my son is still glad he bought the keyboard instead of a car. If you don't know anything about newer keyboards or what a USB port is (it's the same exact thing you have on your computer) then you shouldn't touch a $2000.00 keyboard. read more
