I was exploring the area with my significant other and we wanted to stop somewhere to relax. This is where we landed. We walked inside. I was surprised how large it was. I looked at the menu to see what was offered. I went to the counter to order. From the Coffee Menu section, I ordered an Espresso for 2.75. From the same section, I ordered a Drip Coffee for 2.75. From the display case, I got a Sugar Cookie. We sat down at a table. The Espresso had a sharp, but enjoyable flavor. The Drip Coffee had a pleasant temperature. It was smooth. The Sugar Cookie was a delight. I enjoyed every bite. The service was friendly. I didn't have any issues. Overall, I'm glad I stopped here. This place was excellent. I would definitely go again. The coffee shop is located in a beautiful large space with ample seating. Like there is even a meeting room and the bathroom is ADA accessible which is quite rare. There are a ton of enticing sounding lattes to choose from however the coffee itself was severely lacking. The vanilla latte tasted like burnt water milk and the banana latte was syrup in a cup. I stopped by here yesterday morning with my family for our morning coffee. Whenever we go on vacation, we try to hit up a new coffee shop every morning, and on this morning we ended up heading over to Conex Coffee Company. It's located on Market Street right in downtown Galveston. This coffee shop is quite large with plenty of seating and a couple of display cases full of goodies. The interior has a cool industrial vibe with exposed brick walls, black ceilings, hanging pendant lights, and a mix of wood and metal furniture. There's also quirky artwork scattered around the room which gives the place some personality. For my coffee on this morning, I decided to go with the Bees Knees Latte hot while my wife went with the Cocoloco iced. The menu described mine as Hansen's local honey, vanilla syrup, almond milk, and topped with cinnamon powder, while my wife's was described as shaken raw sugar, coconut syrup, oat milk, and cinnamon powder. After only a short wait, we had our coffees and were on our way. The predominant flavor I could taste in my coffee was the almond milk with just a touch of coffee peeking through. I didn't really get much of the honey or vanilla syrup, although the drink had a bit of sweetness to it. My wife enjoyed hers and especially appreciated the coconut flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I liked how large this place was, and I'd like to try some of their other drinks as well. read more

Have you been to the new shop in town? You need to. Why? Because of everything... the ambiance, the location, the service, the coffee AND food. Seriously, go. There's SO much space! Plenty of open and private seating. We went for a meeting and sat in a little nook, but there's also a formal conference room AND upstairs seating in addition to normal open chairs, bar, etc. there were plenty of people in the shop but it didn't feel crowded, which I really really appreciated. The ambiance is so welcoming you just want to curl up with a book and hot coffee. Everything was very tidy and clean. I am not sure if there was only one size because I wasn't asked but I also forgot to look. The drinks were lukewarm and the flat white was not a flat white. I absolutely love this place for so many reasons. First off, the food is good. Love the Lumberjack. Second, love love love their hot hazelnut latte. Everyone who works there is very nice and friendly. But one thing I love the most is the vibe. Of all the coffee shops I've been to this is my favorite. They have several different brews and also have the usual coffee shop offerings. All the baked items are delivered in the morning from Chef Mary Bass at Good Dough. From the way the staff talked about it, it's a well known local person. When I bit into my kolache, I Knew Why! Wow. Stumbled upon this place after coming off a cruise in Galveston. Decor is minimalistic, industrial-like. Nice large space. Baristas were very friendly. I altered my coffe drink order: the cappuccino comes with 1 shot. I added a shot & asked for it with half sweet syrup (pumpkin) in an 8oz cup instead of 16oz. Well it was SUPER coffee forward! This is great because I like to taste the coffee without being overpowered with syrup or milk. However, I had to ask for a little more pumpkin syrup in my cup which I never do! The key take away is they serve a quality expresso so for those who typically get there coiffe drink less sweet or less milky you may want to try it the first time with no alterations. The barista told me the owner believes customers should taste their coffee. Goal achieved! Thank you! Try this place for your next coffee fix. When I heard that Connex Coffee Co had just opened up, I was really excited to try it! So glad I stopped by. The girls working were very friendly and they do offer a UTMB student discount so that's always nice. I ordered an iced turtle latte and blueberry muffin. The flavor of the espresso was smooth and overall my latte was good! The muffin was the real star of the show here, I LOVED it. New kid on the block. If you get off at the Cruise Terminal walk about 8 minutes towards Market street between 23rd and 24th streets for a caffeinated delectation. The space is open and simplistic in its design and I think that is what makes this coffee shop have an easy going vibe, plus the staff brings the positivity also. On my first encounter my brother and I had the pleasure of meeting Grace at the register and Chance providing the artisanal touches to the coffees. Grace gave us some witty banter because my brother wanted a cookie that did not have sugar, but he ordered a sugar cookie. This was a good laugh!! Chance gave us the low down on one of the rooms that could be used for a group meeting which provided ample lighting and sound proofing qualities even though one of the walls is bricked in. I had a chance to go to the upstairs portion which was very spacious, which from below you could not tell the dimensions. Any of my fellow Yelpers, let me know what are your thoughts about the space. By the way, watch your head coming down the stairs!! On my second visit, this bright early morning, I was entertained by Grace and Bree. Their dynamic reminded me of a Dueling Piano performance in that it was creative, exciting and had me laughing. If you want to get away from the Strand or the Seawall and catch up on some reading, journaling work etc and enjoy good coffee and warm pastries then I highly recommend Conex Coffee. For $4.60 our Cappuccino was, without doubt, the smallest we have ever received anywhere. The Barista did ask if single shot was OK when we ordered, since their standard Cappuccino is single shot. We selected single shot but have never received such a small Cappuccino. At $4.60 we would go elsewhere & get larger servings, but that was our only complaint & we hope they do well. read more

I ordered an iced mocha and it was good! I think my husband ordered an iced white mocha and my dad ordered a plain coffee. They both said it was good! I always ask every coffee shop I go to if they're more on the sweeter side or not? If they are then I always ask for one less pump of chocolate or less sweet.
