I was exploring the area with my significant other and we wanted to stop somewhere to relax. This is where we landed. We walked inside. I was surprised how large it was. I looked at the menu to see what was offered. I went to the counter to order. From the Coffee Menu section, I ordered an Espresso for 2.75. From the same section, I ordered a Drip Coffee for 2.75. From the display case, I got a Sugar Cookie. We sat down at a table. The Espresso had a sharp, but enjoyable flavor. The Drip Coffee had a pleasant temperature. It was smooth. The Sugar Cookie was a delight. I enjoyed every bite. The service was friendly. I didn't have any issues. Overall, I'm glad I stopped here. This place was excellent. I would definitely go again. I stopped by here yesterday morning with my family for our morning coffee. Whenever we go on vacation, we try to hit up a new coffee shop every morning, and on this morning we ended up heading over to Conex Coffee Company. It's located on Market Street right in downtown Galveston. This coffee shop is quite large with plenty of seating and a couple of display cases full of goodies. The interior has a cool industrial vibe with exposed brick walls, black ceilings, hanging pendant lights, and a mix of wood and metal furniture. There's also quirky artwork scattered around the room which gives the place some personality. For my coffee on this morning, I decided to go with the Bees Knees Latte hot while my wife went with the Cocoloco iced. The menu described mine as Hansen's local honey, vanilla syrup, almond milk, and topped with cinnamon powder, while my wife's was described as shaken raw sugar, coconut syrup, oat milk, and cinnamon powder. After only a short wait, we had our coffees and were on our way. The predominant flavor I could taste in my coffee was the almond milk with just a touch of coffee peeking through. I didn't really get much of the honey or vanilla syrup, although the drink had a bit of sweetness to it. My wife enjoyed hers and especially appreciated the coconut flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I liked how large this place was, and I'd like to try some of their other drinks as well.

Without a doubt the best place to get fresh quality coffee on the Galveston island. Coffees are masterfully brewed, the location has great internet and the baristas as genuinely friendly! If you crave a great snack: the chocolate muffin is delicious!

Clara is the barista that tended to our family! She was very nice & patient with everyone. I spoke to her afterwards & she was very friendly & informative about the local town & people. Their cold brew was very good & pastries were delicatably yummy! The ghoulish display was very cool. Plenty of great seating & upstairs with additional 2 private rooms downstairs. Great pics & decor! We love it!

Have you been to the new shop in town? You need to. Why? Because of everything... the ambiance, the location, the service, the coffee AND food. Seriously, go. There's SO much space! Plenty of open and private seating. We went for a meeting and sat in a little nook, but there's also a formal conference room AND upstairs seating in addition to normal open chairs, bar, etc. there were plenty of people in the shop but it didn't feel crowded, which I really really appreciated. The ambiance is so welcoming you just want to curl up with a book and hot coffee. Everything was very tidy and clean. There's ample variety of delicious coffee and tasty treats or full on meals with pasta salad, sandwiches, and salads.

The staff was friendly but the drinks ordered were not good at all. I ordered a flat white and a green tea with a shot of sugar free vanilla. I am not sure if there was only one size because I wasn't asked but I also forgot to look. The drinks were lukewarm and the flat white was not a flat white. It was extremely strong and it tasted like a doppio. I took my drinks to go but the place looked relaxing. However, I will not be returning.

High-quality and innovative Coffee and Delecious Kolaches! I never knew that hot nitro existed till Conex! Beautiful Local shop that has 3 taps ( hot nitro, cold nitro ( traditional ), and cold brew. They have several different brews and also have the usual coffee shop offerings. All the baked items are delivered in the morning from Chef Mary Bass at Good Dough. From the way the staff talked about it, it's a well known local person. When I bit into my kolache, I Knew Why! The Barista-Manager ( also a Stitch fan ) is delightful, friendly, and informative ( we're both coffee geeks! ). High ceilings, plenty of room, immaculate Restrooms, and light create a wonderful experience!

Stopped by to do some work on a weekday afternoon and had a lovely experience. The baristas were extremely welcoming, and the shop is spacious with varied seating options and lots of natural light. There's also a variet of sugars and creams to choose from, and there's paid street parking right outside. The space was clean, including the bathrooms. The music wasn't too loud too

    Highly recommend!!!

It felt kind of cluttered. I expect they must have a patio setup on nicer days, but on this day all that equipment was taking up all the space right inside the front entrance. I'm not much on sweets. I can be talked into an interesting cookie, but this was not the place I expected and I don't think they sold cookies or interesting milk flavors from what I could tell. They do sell sketchy looking hot dogs and pizza. I'm not sure who orders that. It seems like they specialize in ice cream. I tried one flavor and it was pretty sweet for me. I'm not much on sweets so that's not hard to do for me. I stood around letting my wife pick her flavor. I would have waited outside given how cramped the space felt, but it was pouring rain. My wife mentioned the place has artwork and stuff. I didn't see that and didn't know to expect it. I also heard there is a wine bar somewhere on the premise. I may have to come back and give that a try.

Not to worry, from the merch to the pastry case, to the products from local artisans, there's plenty to discover while you wait. I personally visited the morning of the 5th of July, after all of the fourth of July dwellers sobered up and stopped in for some caffeine to fuel the drive home. That being said, I waited quite a while to order, which gave me time to explore the menu...well kind of. Their menu lives on a wall and can be difficult to read from a distance. Additionally, their specials are handwritten at the til. While I'd love a digital copy of their menu for instances like these, I did just fine after exploring various Yelp menu photos. I ended up with a Sabrina on ice, avocado toast, fruity pebbles rice krispy and chocolate chunk cookie. Fair warning, everything in the pastry case looks fresh and homemade, so prepare to treat yourself. Shoutout for their emphasis on vegan and gluten-free offerings. Visually the avocado toast had me worried, but everything bagel seasoning has a way of curing all wrongs, if those "wrongs" in question are bland food. I found myself happily gobbling it down after a few initially hesitant bites. The rice krispy was fine, and I'm looking forward to warming the cookie and reporting back. While I'll go for a more traditional coffee next time, I'll certainly be back. I'm hoping for a smile, greeting, or positive energy from the staff next go around. Fingers crossed.

So when my wife suggested we make this our final stop before leaving town, I was just kind of along for the ride. It turns out, the ride was amazing. I was visiting NYC a few months earlier and went to a place that was wildly considered to have the best bagels in the city. They were perfectly fine but not really remarkable. But GBC served the kind of bagels we were still thinking about the next day. I think it was the softness that really separated them. Said softness was easier to detect from the snickerdoodle bagels we ordered with strawberry and honey butter cream cheese. Both were no doubt 5-stars. But for my "main course" was the Pelican Island, which was a hodgepodge of deliciousness all crammed betwixt two blueberry bagels. I really enjoyed it, but if I returned for a second visit, I would order something else only because there were like ten other things I wanted to try. By the way, I also enjoyed stealing a few bites of my wife's ham, egg and cheese bagel. Earlier I said "if I returned for a second visit", and I'd like to correct the record. We will 100% be returning for a second visit. We might even go as far as a visit here being an excuse for why we need to come back to Galveston a few months from now.

Galveston Bagel Company has a huge assortment of fresh bagels if you can think of it, they probably have it. We visited on a Monday morning and even though the line was long it moved quickly. The aroma of freshly baked bagels meet you as soon as you walk through the door and is so inviting. We ordered the Pesto in Paradise (one of their summer specialty bagels), the Chopped Brisket Panini, and a Blueberry Bagel with Cream Cheese. Every single item was amazing! They were filled with meat, eggs, fresh vegetables, and flavorful condiments. The bagels were hot, soft, and incredibly fresh, with every bite tasting better than the last. My only regret is not ordering another breakfast bagel to take on the road. The shop offers a few indoor seats along with outdoor seating, which is a nice option if the weather is good. On the day we visited it was raining and gloomy and the patio was still full. The only downside to our visit was the rude male employee at the front counter. Thankfully, the female cashier who helped us was sweet, welcoming, and friendly, which helped make the overall experience a great one. I would absolutely recommend Galveston Bagel Company again and again. It's definitely worth the stop if you're in Galveston! ---- They also have a coffee shop in the inside of the bagel shop you should give a try I give them five stars across the board. The coffee there is tasty, affordable with great customer service.
