    Fall menu

I stopped by here earlier today with my family for our morning coffee. Whenever we go on vacation, we try to hit up a new coffee shop every morning, and on this day we ended up heading over to Sea Foam Coffee. This coffee shop is located in The Strand but sits in the back of the building, which you can walk through to reach it. Honestly, without Yelp and the sign outside, I would have never known this place even existed. The shop itself is tiny but has some outdoor seating. Even though it's small, it's cheery with bright white walls, light blue shelves, and a display case with a few baked goods inside. For my coffee, I decided on an iced Third Coast Latte while my wife went with an iced Boardwalk Latte. It was only after I ordered that I noticed the fall menu and realized I would have liked to try the brown butter pumpkin latte instead. In any case, the menu described mine as iced cookie butter, brown butter, almond, and butterscotch latte with cookie butter cold foam, while my wife's was shortbread, cookie butter, and white mocha made with cinnamon milk and topped with whipped cream, cinnamon, and caramel drizzle. It seemed like all the coffees here had a long list of ingredients, so it wasn't the fastest place in the world, but that didn't matter to us. My coffee tasted good and I especially liked the cookie butter flavor that came through, both in the drink and the cold foam. The coffee itself was mostly hidden, but it still peeked through just enough. My wife enjoyed her drink as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While it's a little hard to find, it's worth the effort since we enjoyed our drinks, and I'd love to try one of their egg yolk lattes next time.

This coffee was tasty. Period. I'm so happy we went to this place. The flavors were on point and they use Ten Fold beans from Houston which we enjoy that coffee shop too. The combo of flavors was spot on. My husband got a blueberry one and I got strawberries and cream. The flavors didn't overpower the coffee and it still shone through. Super nice people working there and in the cutest building. They have a back patio you can hang out on.

    Quaint decor

It's a little corner shop in back of some stores. Nice little place with friendly service. The drinks were top notch and made to order. Definitely will make this our strand coffee shop. They even have a nice outdoor seating area.

The service at harbors edge is always exceptional! I love the clean aesthetic, and plants in the coffee house. It's lovely that they have a large outdoor seating option as well. My favorite thing to get is the cookie butter latte but their seasonal drinks are always amazing too! Overall harbors edge is very consistent with service and quality can't wait to be back!

the lady at the front was super kind!!! i ordered a strawberry cream matcha and I'm not gonna lie... this is probably the best strawberry matcha i've ever had!!! the cookiebutter latte was incredible my wife ordered it with oat milk and absolutely loved it honestly would give this place 10 stars if i could 10/10 experience!! the ambiance is super cool also - its on the first floor of this building but a cool little getaway from the heat! there's also a patio you can sit at and enjoy the fresh air if you'd like!

Love the hallway inside the historic building on the way to the cafe. It's clean and cute inside. The decor is cute too. We were greeted right away and the menu was right in front and easy to see. The holiday drinks were perfect and different too. Most make the same old flavors and many with a premix just to stir into coffee. This tasted more homemade. It takes some time which makes sense for cafes making everything as ordered. Everything was made in about 15 min. We also bought some blueberry pastries and they were delicious. We had about half an hour to spare to walk to the cafe from a parking garage waiting for our car to be jumped and easily made the walk back in time for him to be there while we enjoyed our treats. The porch is really nice too and quiet. And so you know, Google will point to the middle of the building. Open the door and go to the right for coffee OR keep walking the sidewalk and take a left where the chairs are outside of a porch.

December 14, 2023 I'm local and don't live on the east end. so, I made a special trip to check this coffee shop out. it was Thursday at 130p. took a minute to find parking... then had to pay $2 to park. it's a tiny coffee shop on the Strand inside the Hutchins Sealy bldg at the very back. nice staff. nice patio to sit. the shop is convenient if you work-live in the area or you're shopping but either way, parking is not convenient or free. plus a heavy hitter coffee chain is a few blocks away with free parking. so there's that. [ride your bicycle or walk there] that's the easiest. hope they make it #buylocal

Initially it was kind of a little adventure through a building and then i found Harbor's Edge by using their cute signs ! It's a small and very cute coffee shop, they also have a gorgeous outside area. I immediately got greeted and i ordered the cookie butter latte, it did not disappoint 10/10 definitely would recommend and come again !

Great coffee and atmosphere! Love the quality snack offerings too. Tucked in one of Galveston's historic buildings on the strand.

Coffee was good. It's in my headphones. Not really a craft coffee shop place. Normally a cappuccino is only 6-8 ounces.

It felt kind of cluttered. I expect they must have a patio setup on nicer days, but on this day all that equipment was taking up all the space right inside the front entrance. I'm not much on sweets. I can be talked into an interesting cookie, but this was not the place I expected and I don't think they sold cookies or interesting milk flavors from what I could tell. They do sell sketchy looking hot dogs and pizza. I'm not sure who orders that. It seems like they specialize in ice cream. I tried one flavor and it was pretty sweet for me. I'm not much on sweets so that's not hard to do for me. I stood around letting my wife pick her flavor. I would have waited outside given how cramped the space felt, but it was pouring rain. I may have to come back and give that a try.

Not to worry, from the merch to the pastry case, to the products from local artisans, there's plenty to discover while you wait. I personally visited the morning of the 5th of July, after all of the fourth of July dwellers sobered up and stopped in for some caffeine to fuel the drive home. That being said, I waited quite a while to order, which gave me time to explore the menu...well kind of. Their menu lives on a wall and can be difficult to read from a distance. Additionally, their specials are handwritten at the til. While I'd love a digital copy of their menu for instances like these, I did just fine after exploring various Yelp menu photos. I ended up with a Sabrina on ice, avocado toast, fruity pebbles rice krispy and chocolate chunk cookie. Fair warning, everything in the pastry case looks fresh and homemade, so prepare to treat yourself. Shoutout for their emphasis on vegan and gluten-free offerings. Visually the avocado toast had me worried, but everything bagel seasoning has a way of curing all wrongs, if those "wrongs" in question are bland food. I found myself happily gobbling it down after a few initially hesitant bites. The rice krispy was fine, and I'm looking forward to warming the cookie and reporting back. While I'll go for a more traditional coffee next time, I'll certainly be back. I'm hoping for a smile, greeting, or positive energy from the staff next go around. Fingers crossed.

This morning I had to get a taste of their coffee cake (because it's one of my favorites) to go alongside my caramel macchiato which I've come to love thanks to my husband. I asked for extra caramel like I usually do but it could have used a bit more caramel. It wasn't sweet at all. The service was great! And so was the food. We also ordered two egg and cheese croissants. The egg is fried which I wasn't expecting but it actually tasted pretty good with the melted cheese. If you're looking for a coffee shop that offers a full menu of food such as burrito's, sandwiches, empanadas, and pancakes, you'll enjoy it here. There's plenty of seating to bring your laptop and get some work done. It's a popular spot so keep that in mind as the tables may all be taken.

So when my wife suggested we make this our final stop before leaving town, I was just kind of along for the ride. It turns out, the ride was amazing. I was visiting NYC a few months earlier and went to a place that was wildly considered to have the best bagels in the city. They were perfectly fine but not really remarkable. But GBC served the kind of bagels we were still thinking about the next day. I think it was the softness that really separated them. Said softness was easier to detect from the snickerdoodle bagels we ordered with strawberry and honey butter cream cheese. Both were no doubt 5-stars. But for my "main course" was the Pelican Island, which was a hodgepodge of deliciousness all crammed betwixt two blueberry bagels. I really enjoyed it, but if I returned for a second visit, I would order something else only because there were like ten other things I wanted to try. By the way, I also enjoyed stealing a few bites of my wife's ham, egg and cheese bagel. Earlier I said "if I returned for a second visit", and I'd like to correct the record. We will 100% be returning for a second visit. We might even go as far as a visit here being an excuse for why we need to come back to Galveston a few months from now.

Galveston Bagel Company has a huge assortment of fresh bagels if you can think of it, they probably have it. We visited on a Monday morning and even though the line was long it moved quickly. The aroma of freshly baked bagels meet you as soon as you walk through the door and is so inviting. We ordered the Pesto in Paradise (one of their summer specialty bagels), the Chopped Brisket Panini, and a Blueberry Bagel with Cream Cheese. Every single item was amazing! They were filled with meat, eggs, fresh vegetables, and flavorful condiments. The bagels were hot, soft, and incredibly fresh, with every bite tasting better than the last. My only regret is not ordering another breakfast bagel to take on the road. The shop offers a few indoor seats along with outdoor seating, which is a nice option if the weather is good. On the day we visited it was raining and gloomy and the patio was still full. The only downside to our visit was the rude male employee at the front counter. Thankfully, the female cashier who helped us was sweet, welcoming, and friendly, which helped make the overall experience a great one. I would absolutely recommend Galveston Bagel Company again and again. It's definitely worth the stop if you're in Galveston! ---- They also have a coffee shop in the inside of the bagel shop you should give a try I give them five stars across the board. The coffee there is tasty, affordable with great customer service.
