Love this coffee! Blue Moon was my choice and don't regret it either. Great little place

I am almost a daily regular here. I didn't quite like it at first and avoided it for a while, but it has grown on me. Ha! The coffee is a bit different, but it's easy to find something you like. I usually get the Deep State Cold Brew. the shaken espresso is pretty good too. I will buy a bag of beans periodically. I would hope that they are fair trade, which is not clear, but some of their beans are organic, and they brew up tasty at home. The atmosphere is nice. The counter staff are friendly and seem to know what they are doing. Usually good spots available to sit and get a bit of work done, unless it's one of the rare days where the place is totally full. Good scenerey usually. it's a mix of NASA people, university students and other odds and ends from the community. They play crappy music, but not too loud, so easy to tune out. The thing that needs the most improvement are the baked goods. Absolutely terrible. At first I thought they had Costco muffins or something similar, but in truth, Costco muffins would be a BIG improvement. Their baked goods suck. LOL! But that's not going to keep me from coming here. Definitely an all around good coffee shop. read more

Popped in to try something other than my usual Starbucks. The cashier at the front thoroughly explained the coffee, moon milk (sweet cream) ratios, and summer (hot coffees) vs winter (iced coffees). I opted for the Half Winter Moon since it was their "most popular" drink, sweetness level wise, to use as a standard. The Half Moon was nicely sweetened without overpowering the coffee itself. I would probably prefer the 1/4 Moon for a stronger coffee flavor next time. Summer moon was pretty bustling for a Saturday morning but the coffee came out fairly quickly. read more

Summer moon keeps getting closer and closer to me and I ain't mad about it! This location is in a shared shopping center and next to parlour doughnuts so you can imagine the parking up front at Peak hours. Hahaha. But worth it! Especially visiting this time of year is magically because of the Christmas tree decor and most importantly the roasted chestnut latte is my favorite! Both amazing iced and hot! There is a kid's table with kid books which my kids love sitting at. Various seating arrangements from cozy chairs, to tabletops, to bar seating, to couch seating, to outside seating and a community table top. Want to hold a work meeting, or book meet up, or a mommy and me coffee dates, to girl gift exchange,....whatever the reason for the special gathering there is a private room in the back you can reserve. If you play Pokemon go then there are pokestops you can reach from here and a gym . This past nurses week in May they offered us a free cup of coffee when we presented our work badge. We greatly appreciated it especially since we share it with teachers week. We normally don't see a lot of local deals for nurses so we thank you summer moon! read more

I love Summer Moon and I wish there was a location closer to me. I went to this location twice in one week. Both times, I ordered a 1/2 Winter Moon with Oat Milk which is my default drink. Summer Moon is located right next door to Parlour Doughnuts. The website says that there is a drive thru, however that is not correct. There is a back entrance that you can go through to pick up mobile orders. There's a few parking spaces for to go orders in the back as well. If you can't find parking in front of the store, the back parking lot has plenty of spaces. This location is pretty spacious! It feels very cozy with couches and large comfy chairs, however there are also work tables and a little nook area near the register if you need some space for work/study. The music is not too loud and It's a nice balance for those who want to relax and those who need to work/study. They also have a private room near the bathroom. I'm not sure if you have to reserve this in advance, but it can hold maybe 6-8 people. The staff was very fast and friendly. I noticed one of the baristas seemed to know a few customers by name so I guess they have their fair share of regulars. They of course sell merch like t-shirts and coffee mugs. You can also buy cold brew and moon milk to go. I'm happy that the coffee at the Nassau Bay location is just as good as the locations in Austin! It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the Clear Lake area. read more

First time I ever went to a summer moon ( Friendswood location ) I instantly loved the aesthetic. This location is different but still just as cute. The wording for the drinks can be confusing at first : winter / summer , full /half ect . Can be pricey - you are looking around $7-9 a drink . But at this time I feel like that's become normal sadly. Definitely think this was needed in LC! read more

Before, I've visited the San Antonio location about 7 months ago and loved it. To my surprise, there is a NASA location. So we decided to try this location and see if it's just as good as the San Antonio location. Not to my surprise, it's just as good as the San Antonio location. The service is impeccable. I saw about 3 to 4 people working hard while giving great customer service. I ended up ordering 2 things online. An Iced Christmas Cookie Latte and a hot Chestnut Latte. Both were very good. The coffee didn't taste burned at all. The ambiance is amazing. Whenever you step in a Summermoon location, it's like a modern coffee shop. I'll definitely be back. read more

Stopped here before going to NASA Space Center Houston. Got a coffee and a few pastries and it was really good. I got their Latte and it was really good but a bit on the sweet side. I did like that they had a small kids table with kids book so my children had some entertainment. read more

The baristas are friendly & strive to get your order right, which I appreciate. The ambiance is 100% "come in, grab a coffee, & just chill & sip your espresso, coffee, tea concoction slowly in any of the copious cozy spots". Throughout the cafe, it's SO hygge or gezelligheid!! Love that. A little on the pricey side, but DEFINITELY worth it in comparison to Starbux down the street, & even the coffee shop in NASA (fyi SM is cheaper). Also, how cute is a cafe named "Summer Moon" across from NASA...very strategic, no?! Lastly, 3 things: there's a separate to go/pickup station to streamline the wait, & there's even a private meeting room that I think is fairly easy to reserve (not sure if there's a cost), & the bathrooms are impeccably clean, tidy,& they're on top of restocking them. The ambiance is one of my favorites for a coffee shop and a great place to study. A lot of people kept shuffling in and out but it never felt crowded. They have such a nice space with multiple seating options including low tables, high tops, couches, and even a seating area around a fireplace like a little living room. The service is also great with the staff being really nice and efficient. They gave me free cups of water too. I also really liked the blue moon latte that I got because of the hints of lavender I got. read more

I love Summer Moon coffee. It is SO much better tasting than the national chain based in Seattle. The wood-fired roasted beans give their coffee a great taste. The Moon Milk is their secret creamer that adds so much to the taste. When you order, you can order based on your preferred level of sweetness. They have a full moon, 3/4 moon, 1/2 moon, 1/4 moon, and a whisper moon, which is basically a 1/8 moon. The 1/2 moon is still fairly sweet and is the most popular. I always order a 1/4 or 1/8 which is still sweet enough for me. If there is a negative to Summer Moon, it's their website. The website has no way to view their drink menu. I personally find this VERY problematic because I often buy multiple drinks for customers that have never been to Summer Moon and have no idea what to order. I'm not reducing my star rating review of the Nassau Bay location because of the corporate website, but I really hope corporate reads this review. HEY CORPORATE!!! YOUR WEBSITE SUCKS!!!! Yes, they do have an app but that doesn't help newbies find a drink. The staff at this specific location in Nassau Bay is on top of their game. Friendly, quick, and efficient. What more can you ask for? Bottom line - Excellent coffee. I love it. Sucky website. I hate it. 5-stars are based upon this location. If it was based on the website, it would be a 1-star review. I came here for a coffee break from work and got the Iced Matcha Moon Latte and it was good. It had a flavor different than usual matcha drinks, it wasn't bad but not my preference. On another occasion I tried the iced Chai moon latte that I absolutely loved! I haven't tried the coffee here yet but have heard great things. The interior is super cute, it seems like a great place to study or hang out. They even have a conference room that you can reserve! Cute but nothing spectacular. Definitely better than Starbucks but a small menu. Their main gimmick seems to be their "moon milk" which is like melted vanilla ice cream or soft serve mix and they add it to literally every drink. I drink mainly unsweetened drinks or things that are more experimental so nothing jumped out at me in the menu. If you're into really creamy and sweet drinks then I would definitely recommend coming here. I came because I wanted to try their "fire roasted" coffee but it really wasn't anything different from a regular roaster. The staff is super sweet. Our beloved Owl Coffee Shop was closed so we decided to try Summer Moon. I like the concept of their Moon Milk and the place is adorable inside playing some good music. I ordered the Cinnamon Moon Latte. It was okay. To be fair, I do not gravitate towards bitter tasting coffee and their coffee was bitter. It would have helped if they had salt to cut the bitterness for those who don't care for it but, alas, they did not. On the flip side, my friend had the Mocha Moon Milk Latte and he gobbled it down saying it tasted fantastic. He likes bitter coffee. So there you have folks. I didn't see where I could respond to the business owner so I will here. Thank you for the kind offer though I respectively decline as I do not review solely to have businesses give me free things and it wasn't the cinnamon latte. We had guests in from town that followed the Keto diet, we were surprised that this place offered keto friendly baked goods. Their non Keto wraps are also good. They don't make them skimpy!
