Unfortunately, this cemetery is surrounded on three sides by busy traffic, retail outlets, and a few residential homes nearby. The cemetery as a whole is very orderly, neatly arranged, and well manicured. This is still a very much active and ongoing cemetery with additional space for those who want to make this their forever home. You can choose burial or above ground mausoleum space. This place is very well attended by those who are still with us due to many graves and mausoleum spaces being covered in flowers and trinkets. There is an on-site enclosed chapel for services honoring the dearly departed. Closer to 61st St. you'll find some of the older headstones and family vaults. The only drawback of the cemetery is the fact that it gets easily flooded in a heavy rain, or especially in a hurricane, causing some of the stones to fall over.

If you want your baby buried in the garden of the innocent you only can have a flat headstone. That…read morebeing said if they mow they pick up all the flowers off the baby's Graves and throw them behind the office. This area is not huge. They can take a few minutes out of their day when they mow over the grave over the headstones and put the flowers back on the baby's Graves. You go out there now and the grass is entirely dead where the babies are buried. It's called The garden of Innocence. They don't even water the grass. I paid a lot of money for my daughter's hand-painted ceramic picture for her headstone. Very early on when she died the lawn mower went over and put a huge deep scratch through the middle and they don't care. They're like too bad too sad what do you want from us? I would like you to perhaps water the grass at least and put the babies flowers back on their graves!!! Have some dignity & some compassion for these parents. I have 2 daughters buried in the garden of Innocence. The area is very small so please don't make a reply and say the area is just so huge there's no way it would take hours to put the flowers back because that's b*******.. I know it's asking for too much to them think about the people there as opposed to just making the money.

I stopped by as I usually do around Christmas to pay respects to most of my family buried here. I was presently surprised to find two wreaths on my veteran uncle's headstones. Probably, the VFW did this, but thanks to Galveston Memorial for allowing this to happen, and having/ keeping a well manicured park. I'm gonna hold off on selling the plot, and relocating.

This is a relatively new cemetery with a few grave markers from the 1990s and newer. It is also…read morequite small as it appears to be a little over 100 feet square. It sits on the very busy 61st St. and it's directly across from a large shopping center. This is still an active graveyard as there's less than 20 people interred here leaving plenty of space for more. It does have a nice large wooden pagoda with some marble benches. It's possible this small cemetery was begun because the congregation Beth Jacob cemetery right next to it looks to be completely full (see separate review). I would have to admit that I would expect to find a gas station on this corner as opposed to a cemetery, considering all the traffic and noise.
