I've been going to Connie's for years. My standard order is for chocolate covered creamed filled, chocolate covered french, chocolate frosted, chocolate cake with rainbow jimmies, and a chocolate covered old fashion. Connie's does a good job on chocolate. This selection usually runs me $5 even. If you have to try any doughnut in the shop, I would say that the old fashion jumps out. There is a wonderful crispy crust to the delicious cake. Plain or with topping, they're stellar. Be sure to get there before 11am, sometimes the counter gets thin by 10pm on busy days. But Connie knows her regulars and is pretty good at gauging her crowd so that I can almost always get what I want. I definite get what I want if I come in earlier than later. read more

I dropped off my car at Pacific Ave Auto Spa, and had to uber home but needed a place to wait. All others were closed at so early in the morning, but Connie's was open!! It has a really nostalgic kind of feeling, and the shop decor has a nice vintage feeling to it. I just wanted something small since I was just waiting, so I got a small coffee and a sugar raised donut. They have all sorts of donuts! Cake, non filled, filled, French crullers, fritters, and other treats too. For my coffee and donut it was only $1.75! The coffee was nice, and the donut was so so good. It was super fluffy and soft but has a nice chew to it. Way better than Krispy Kreme or grocery store donuts. This was the fluffiest dang donut I've ever had in my entire life and I'll be back for more!! read more

Sweets, of any kind, are a rare treat for me so I choose carefully! I read the reviews - several mentioned that Connie's donuts don't have that "greasy" taste (yay!) and decided it was time for a treat. I bought an apple fritter (yum!), a cruller (YUM!!) and a filled lemon bar - once home, they all underwent a "just a bite" taste test before being portioned out and popped into the freezer - except for the cruller - it was the best I've ever tasted and it went "poof"! I rarely eat sugar (dietary restrictions are the pits!) but when the craving for a treat hits - in the future - Connie's is definitely on my list! read more

Was looking for a donut shop close to my neighborhood and remembered driving this place. The place was full of customers, good sign! :) Small inside but room for a handful of tables. Very clean!
