Difficult to rate a gas station. However, this one also does car repairs. In addition it is very convenient to get to if driving in East Denver since it is located at 6th Avenue and York Street and there are no other nearby alternatives. The fuel prices seem to match the average current market prices for gas. I have used their services to replace windshield wiper blades on 2 occasions and the prices seemed fair. read more

I was attempting to fill my tire at this location. I have bought gas here many times. Due to me a) not seeing a sign and b) misinterpreting what a worker was motioning I was in the way of another car. Another very rude worker with a long beard came out to tell me to move. After I moved I went in to address the man to let him know that I was unaware of both the sign and that the other worker needed me to move. I asked if it was too much to ask for a "please"? His response, " I am very direct" this being Christmas Eve I mentioned that perhaps a little grace was warranted. His response? "I don't care". The most honest garage that won't upsell you on things a car never needed. They saved my wife from a AAA rated garage that quoted her $850 for brake pad work. This shop actually took the tires off the car and checked the full brake pads that had 10k miles left and quoted $450 for the brake job. This shop is the only place I will get my car serviced moving forward. read more

Since I rarely see this option, I may have to try it out eventually to see if the service merits more stars. The interior is not pretty, but it does not need to be. It looks like they have a few snacks that have probably been on the shelf since the 20th century. just bought a battery from them for over $200 including labor. Two days later, and nothing works. Won't turn over, and none of the electrical works. They said I had a broken radiator cap which they never showed me, just put one on. Talked me into wiper blades and a tire rotation. Guy tried to tell me I needed front and brake pads, which I told him don't do them. Still cost me almost $400 and now I'm stuck with a car that won't start and screwed up electrical. I called and the guy seemed like he couldn't have cared less. Told me to get a jump and bring it back in. No apology, nothing. New to the area, and hoping to find a place we can become loyal customers. Circle Drive Conoco tells us our small squeak problem is $900. Needless to say, we decided NOT to go with them and took our business elsewhere. After we tell them we will not need their services, we're informed it will be $30 for their "work". This was not communicated to us verbally nor in writing at any point. After asking a question about this $30, he immediately starts yelling "do you work for free??". He then proceeds to yell to the back room for backup, like we were some kind of threat. Trust me, we're not. We just make it known, in the most polite way possible, that we don't put up with crooks :) Dan Gipson, the manager, makes his presence known by yelling, calling us young and ignorant, puffing up his feathers saying how long he's been in the business, and then...GET THIS....when we calmly stated we would not pay, he called the cops (or said he did, they never showed). Dan was yelling at the top of his lungs at us while we merely stood and looked at him. I wish I could say we didn't pay the $30 and went and spent the money on brunch and a round of bloody mary's...but I cant. We wanted to leave that joke of a place, at the off chance more disgruntled customers brought their pitchforks and torches to the place. Took the car to another (recommended and trustworthy) mechanic, and guess what?? NO break problem. Just a small wave on the rotor that was causing a squeaking sound. We would have given that place $900!! Will not even go to that place for gas. read more

CIRCLE DRIVE CONOCO I absolutely give this gas station a four 1/2 star rating. They are on top of things, treat you with respect and friendliness to boot. Steve, Steve, Rocky and Rusty are good mechanics, they REALLY truly know what they're doing, oh and fair on price. Basically they are unflappable and know you're on a time frame. Filled up with regular at this station. Immediately after fill up, car began shaking violently and running horribly. A few minutes later, check engine light started blinking on and off (a terrible sign- misfire). The car ran sluggish and without much power so I took it to the shop the next day, I found out the fuel pump was shot due to "bad gas." Even after calling and inquiring about any other cases of bad gas, the manager stood his ground and said they use "premium" gas. So much for getting them pay for the repairs. I will never pump gas here again and if you care about your car, I would avoid it as well. Awful. read more

The two guys working this morning were fabulous! My car showed low tire pressure and since I had no tire gauge or air compressor, I went over there. Bought the gauge and asked if they would teach me the proper way to check. Not only did they show patience as I learned, they offered to hook it up to their computer to reset the car settings. I went to go get gas and my card was not working at the pump I wanted to see if I could pay inside they said they were gonna charge me an extra fee,I told them no they were yelling and trying to fight me to get back in the store once I told him now I'm going somewhere else because I no longer felt comfortable doing business with them both men inside they decide to cuss me out tell me to fuck off And being very vulgar. I would not recommend going to this place they are far better gas stations that are way cheaper. I have been to this service station 3 times now over the span of about 5 years. This is the best and fastest car service I have ever received in my life. Each time was for a tire related issue on 3 different cars. I have never spent over an hour or spent over $150 for any of my issues. We were on our way to go for a boat ride at 9:30am and the check engine light came on and realized my '98 explorer was overheating and randomly this was the closest place to pull over. Steve came out and was so wonderful he knew exactly what the problem was which a cracked radiator. He said he could fix it no problem. Then when it was ready at 2:00 pm the same day he called and said he fixed something else it was the AC which was amazing. We picked the explorer at 3:00 and dropped off our Passat to get it fixed. So, I stopped at this Conoco station to fill up on gas on my way to work this week, and silly me, I locked my keys in my car. Being that this is a conoco service station I asked if they could help me. The guy who tried to help was really nice, but unfortunately, in the process of trying to get my car open, he broke my driver side window. He is not the reason that I am giving this location one star. He apologized, and cleaned out all of the glass from my car to the best of his ability. He said that they had a glass guy, and that he would try and help me out and get it fixed at no cost to me because he broke my window. I called today to see if that was still an option, and I ended up speaking to the man who I am assuming runs this station. This man (whose name I did not catch), was VERY VERY rude. I was not trying to hold the station liable for my broken window, I was just trying to follow up on what the other guy told me, to save me from having to pay a deductible through my insurance company. The man who I spoke to kept going on and on about how he had had these tools for 30 years, and they had never broken a window, so it was probably a defect with my car, (Which is brand new) and that there was no way that they were at fault because my car was flawed. Pardon my french, but he was an asshole. I don't even intend to get gas at this station again just based on the disrespect shown by the manager. I have never had a problem here before, and everyone has been very friendly up to this point. That man ruined the whole station for me. I would not recommend this station for any kind of service, because based on the way that he treated me, I don't doubt that he would try and rip anyone off. read more

Wow, mixed reviews. I've never had anything but good service here, and the people have always been nice. Granted, I'm not asking for full service or for any kind of repairs so I can't report on that. I love the location. I love that they have free air in a world where air (freakin' air!) will cost you at least 75 cents at most other stations if they even have a working setup. Seems like maybe the prices are slightly higher here, but it's also right in the middle of town and in a residential neighborhood to boot. I would recommend this filling station. read more

This is hard rating because we've been taking our cars here for many years. And for many years they have been great. They do what we ask for a fair price, have extended hours and are conveniently located, certainly a refreshing change from the dealers. Lately, though, we've been having some issues with poor service. After replacing the power steering pump on our 2000 Durango, the serpentine belt flew off, stranding my daughter in north Denver. We had to have the car towed back to the shop where they fixed the belt for free, but that was because they should have put it back on correctly. And we paid for the tow. Had a similar issue on my Suburu where their failure to deal with an issue while they were working on the car resulted in another repair. I don't understand it because it's the same guys who I've been working with forever. I'm considering a change. read more

I frequent this Conoco even though they're more expensive (for pretty much everything) than I can do elsewhere in town because they're in the neighborhood, and I like to support the local businesses (even if they're a corporate franchise.) That ended with this Conoco today when I tried to exchange a defective Blue Rhino propane tank that I got from them a while back. I was told I'd have to come back in three days and talk to the manager. I said that it wasn't a great way to keep a customer by not being willing to replace a defective product that they sold me, and the guy said, aggressively, "ok, BYE!" He then walked away from me and as I followed pleading my case he literally shut the door in my face and started to lock it. Went to King Soopers and replaced it at no cost. ($5 cheaper there for the regular tank exchange anyway). Not only will I not pay more to exchange my tank there anymore, I'll by gas for my car in Golden where I work or at King Soopers on Leetsdale where it's 15 cents cheaper per gallon anyway. read more

i recently took my ford sportrac in because the engine was shaking while i idled at stop signs. they informed me it was the O2 oxygen converter. i had them replace it. the same day, as i was driving home, it was shaking again. i took it back. and they replaced another O2 converter and had the gaul to charge me for labor again!! (albeit at a discounted rate). the day after, my truck is still shaking to date and will actually turn off. i spent over $400 to have the same problem continue. the only response i got was "this is what's showing us when we hook your truck up to computer". well shouldnt they have just offered to replace all 4 O2 converters instead of implying its only one and then attempt to charge me for labor (potentially) 4 different times? #sadshamedisappointedtragiccrooksnowbrokestillbroken read more

so...i have been tooling around in my car for a good two, maybe three weeks just wondering when the check gauges light for the gas was going to come on. see, my car is weird and when it gets to about half a tank or under, the little red gas arrow points to e. so i figure, hey, i'll just ride it out this time to see how long i can go until it warns me. well...it turns out that my car either doesn't have a warning light for the gas or the dang thing no longer works. i figure this out as i'm hitting bumper to bumper traffic on josephine and 3rd in cherry creek. two of the three lanes are closed and my car dies as we all come to a red light. shit, so i think it just needs to be started again. yes, that worked...wait. no, oh hell. it died again. the light turns green and i hop out of my car and begin to push it while some jerk-off thinks honking his horn is going to help me push it faster up the small hill and into the closest parking lot. i gotta say, i'm pretty darn stoked about that feat. anyway. the conoco was the closest gas station so i walked only about 4 blocks thinking i would need to buy a gas can and some gas, but when i got there, the guys were super cool. they let me borrow a can and take a gallon back to my car, come back and fill up. ok. so i have ran out of gas at least 3 times in my life and i have always had to buy a new can. never have the people working been so cool and understanding. as for the shop itself, it's kind of a smaller place, more focus is put on the garage in the back than extras up front, but the service is stellar. let's hope that i don't have a 4th time. read more

It's VERY important with this stations reputation, to remember the GOOD days of it, when Mark Gorsline was running it. The leadership went to shit when Mark sold the station in the mid nineties, and so did the help after Dave and John and all the old school people that were working there fled. It has really sucked since the mid nineties, and it's a shame, I learned a lot from Mark and John working on cars there. But most people here are right, it went to shit after he left. read more
