The other location had not completed everything I paid for and there was a new leak with a subsequent check engine light that came on as a warning. Rose confirmed they would fix the issues free of charge; Scottie knew who I was as soon as I pulled in and got to work on the repairs; and the awesome guys in the pit worked expertly and quickly. Then we I got there later that day. They said they did everything I asked for. when I went to pay I asked about the air filter and was told that no, they don't have one that fits my car. I explained my phone call and asked if they could call around to other shops I could go to that would have the right filter. They refused and the only solution they offered was for me to walk across the street to a parts store to get an air filter. I asked what I need to know to get the correct one. The little information they told me was not enough to get the right one. So, I ended up with the wrong filter. I have been into this location several times, and the conditions of the building are absolutely terrible. You can see mold on the walls inside the waiting room. Everything is dirty, the lobby is not clean, the bathroom is atrocious, there's holes in the wall. The lobby was extremely cold. There is no coffee or anything warm to drink. and there never is. When I asked one of the employees why it was so cold, his response was we have been without heat for over 6 weeks and this particular day just happened to be -0 degrees. WARNING! On 3/4/24 I brought my car in for an oil change. After a long wait the mechanic told me the job couldn't be done because a wire is in the way. Told me it was a liability issue. So I went to Jiffy Lube the next day told them what they said and they didn't see a wire but they did notice that there was ABSOLUTELY NO OIL IN THE CAR. Grease monkey drained the oil but didn't replace it and sent me on my way. I will never bring my car back to this place. Horrible service in every way. Rude employees and incompetent. Went in for a routine oil change on my car earlier this year at this Grease Monkey location. 79 miles from the sticker, my car's engine is locked up on the side of the road. Upon further investigation, the oil filter had completely vibrated loose from the bottom of the car. Whether incorrect filter, or improper installation of the filter, i'm now left with no car. My favorite part of this place is the service countdown clocks that reset when they reach zero. The one my car was waiting for reset twice before they ever took it in (it was next in line). All told it took over an hour for an oil change even though there were only 3 other people there. What earns them the one star is they got grease all over my car! It's not a new car, but it is new to me and l try to keep it nice. I didn't appreciate having to clean the seats after waiting that long for a simple oil change. This place is a disaster. I got my oil changed earlier this year and asked for new windshield wiper blades. The person at the counter said that if I paid in cash my total would be $50. Unfortunately for them I used a credit card, so I paid around $80. A few months later my car wasn't running as well so I took it to the dealership. Turns out the GM staff didn't top off any of the fluids and they installed broken windshield wipers. After all is said and done, I've paid almost $200 for this oil change/wiper replacement. The car is brand new with no previous undercarriage damage or issues. They did not tighten the oil filter, so oil sprayed all over. They also didn't close the air filter box and got oily hand prints all over the white leather interior. I took it back and they did a poor job cleaning it up. I got home to find that the car was still leaking, now through a cross threaded oil fill cap and the oil is below the fill line. This was the most pathetic oil change I have ever seen. I refuse to go back to have the oil topped back off, and will likely have to pay for an oil change at a different location now. If I could, I would give Grease Monkey #38 TEN stars instead of five. About a month ago, I got my oil changed at this shop. I was wary because I have heard, read and experienced that often an oil change at a franchise would result in a long, expensive list of "urgent problems" with my car. I'm currently unemployed and essentially flat broke, so the oil change was the extent of my car-maintenance financial expenditures for a while. I even told the gentleman who checked me in, to please not even LOOK at anything else in the engine since I won't be able to fix it. He laughed and happily obliged. The folks who work in this shop are unbelievably nice and the customer service is beyond top-notch. Yesterday I ran an errand not far from home, and after pulling up in front of my house, I noticed that my right front tire was flat, complete with some obnoxious orange thumb-tack-looking thing stuck in it. Grrrr. I knew I had made several recent short trips on that tire, and I did not want to drive on the flat for a inch further than necessary. Grease Monkey #38 is about a block away, so I called the shop and asked a very nice gentleman named Don (or Donald) if they could possibly change my tire and put the spare on. He said he absolutely could, and to come on over, which I did. Don was SO nice, and explained that he'd put the doughnut spare on a rear tire and put a rear tire where the flat was, for safety purposes. The tire was changed in no time, and he REFUSED TO ACCEPT MONEY. I told him I insisted on paying them, so Don grabbed his manager, Cotton (with whom I had dealt the month before with the oil change) who said he would not accept money. It's pretty rare to find any kind of service-related business who provides this level of customer service.
