3/8/2016 My kitchen florlescent light fixture had suddenly gone out. I had just changed the bulbs about a year or so ago, so I knew it was not the bulbs.(these bulb usually last several years). I had called a few electritians including a service that works with with Home Depot. I was told that the minimum cost would be 150.00 just to determine what the problem was and if it could or could not be fixed. Additional charges would be added depending on what had to be done. I thought that was rediculous. I noticed the many great reviews for Conquest Electric and decieded to call. I was able to talk with Roman right away and explained what had happened to my light. He told me that the balaste needed to be replaced and what the cost would be to fix it. Just like that, I made an appointment with him for 2 days later. I was very pleased with the results. Roman was very personable, professional and a pleasure to do business with. I would definitly call him again if I need additional work. We had multiple problems in different rooms . We live in a hundred year old co-op building on the Upper West Side, pre-war beauty with pre-war wiring inside the walls and we were dreading the proposition of getting someone to come in an handle these multiple problems. Cooper Electrical Service sent, Roman, smart, knowledgeable, friendly, easy and prepared. I tried to hold my opinion until I make sure it's not my fault. After all, I see all these 5 stars review and I wonder if it's me just overreacting. However, I did pay $200 for nothing, so I thought I should say something. Although not on time, running more than an hour late without informing me, Serafin was a friendly person. But before his visit, 7 out of the 10 kitchen lights worked, but when he left, none of the lights worked. The kitchen was also left as a huge mess that I spent a long time to clean up. When I was charged $200 for making my apartment situation worse, I was shocked, but I still paid because I respect people taking their time helping, although my time was obviously not being respected. read more

Roman and his assistant were excellent. I have a track lighting unit that is old, but good quality and I didn't want to spend the money to replace it. Roman fixed it but said that the "fix" was only temporary because it needed a part. He said that if I ordered the part he would come back and install it. He was true to his word. He came back, replaced the part without charge and wouldn't even accept a tip! In this day and age it is rare to find someone who is both competent and honest. He is both! I really like this company. Yesterday Roman came to install lighting fixtures under my kitchen cabinets. It was not possible to do because the original contractor did not wire properly. Roman was very nice, spent a long time trying to get around the issue but it simply was not possible. He refused to let me pay him for his time. This company is a class act. I will be calling soon for a couple of other jobs. All in all a worthwhile experience to come out of it knowing an honest, capable, and conscientious electrician.
