Sales girl was not allowed to discuss consigning. Had to talk to owner. Owner came out, as others said, looked me over & said, "what are your brand names?" She told me to call her & tell her the brands of my items & would let me know if she wanted to look at them. She was VERY condesending in her tone! How she stays in business with that rude attitude is beyond me!! Will NEVER step foot in there again! read more

Owner is wonderful. Clothing options are top of the line designer brands. All are in mint condition so would highly recommend them.

It's a cute little consignment store, but they don't have a really big inventory. Some of the prices are a little high... items seemed dated or not geared towards the working woman. I may go back and take another look at them later on in the year and see what kinds of inventory they've added. The staff there are incredibly friendly and helpful. read more

No way! Absolutely so rude! Attempted twice to consign high end, designer clothing and the rude ,simple looking woman refused to even provide us service. This is a small store with low end clothing that is over priced. Not only did they lose our consignment but they lost us as customers. Don't waste your time here! It's incredible what kindness and professionalism can do when you are in a service position. Get your act together ladies! Took all the consignment clothing we had to High Society Consignment in Scottsdale instead and they loved it! Shop here ladies! read more

I had a similar experience as others : I happened upon this store by complete accident and, since I'm downsizing, decided to pop in and inquire about consigning since I'd prefer to consign my better items instead of just donating. I felt like I was back in high school (where I didn't fit in with the "popular girls.") So childish. Obviously I didn't dress well-enough to provide the store clerk a positive impression of what items I might bring in. She took one look at me and when I said many of my better slacks were boxed, told me "we only accept items that are, ahem, cleaned, pressed," (looking me up and down), "and on hangers." Then proceeded to tell me they only accept designer labels. Snooty, snotty, and unprofessional. I looked around and saw a lot of over-priced and outdated Chico clothes - nothing you can't pickup at, oh, I don't know, probably Chico's... I've no need to return and will sell my items - happily and easily - on Poshmark. read more

I have shopped there twice. I too felt I did not fit in. I bought one top and I don't think the price ranges are great. Certain customers get undivided attention that I wish I had been given. If you are a smart shopper there department stores that sell designer clothes at great prices and they are new. read more

I went there today to ask about bringing in some things. Manager was kind of rude. I think she looked at what I was wearing and decided that nothing I had was good enough for her shop. She said only clothes 2yrs or newer were accepted and they had to be from upscale shops or designer. Sorry but this is Sun City. How many ladies here want designer clothes? How many ladies come all the way from Phoenix to purchase. I don't since I'm not working anymore. read more

Had never been in before. Items and store are clean. Asked the salesperson about bringing clothes in. She gave me the once-over and said stone-faced that they only accept current styles. Similar to the other reviewer's experience. Bad move lady. Total turn off. I buy mostly from Macy's, Dillards and Lands End and have many items with tags on that I decided I just wasn't crazy about but waited too long to return. I won't deal with self-important and unpleasant people. read more

It's quite ridiculous that you have to make an appointment to bring in clothes for consignment. Their business is built on this yet they aren't willing to take in unless it fits into their schedule. The store also smells! I wouldn't waste time going here. read more

Fortunately for me, I did not experience any of the issues mentioned by some of the reviewers before me. If you are allergic to dogs, though, you might want to skip this location, because there is an official, very well behaved greeter dog. To me that's a big plus, so I hesitated to mention it lest dog-haters avoid the store, but allergies can be a big deal. I would want to know if it were me. With that out of the way, I think Consigning Women is a very nice shop. They are a small location, but they have nice clothing and accessories well sorted out for you. Don't think "used = garage sale prices". The brooch I looked at was $60. Not saying it isn't worth that, just saying they are well aware of the of value of their merchandise. There is a strong cowgirl vibe, so if that's you, you are going to be especially happy! The sales lady was helpful and friendly. I hope to be back frequently. read more

This is a very cute boutique. Each of the staff members is very nice. And, we found a few great deals.

We brought clothes to Consigning Women in Sun City, AZ to consign. When I asked, "if my clothes don't sell, can I come pick them up?". the woman said "Of course you can." I asked "Is there a charge to do this, because some of the larger consignment stores charge you $5 to get your items back" (They go and hunt your stuff down for you & they charge for that). The woman chuckled and said "No, we wouldn't charge you to get your items back." She never told me that unless the individual items are priced higher than $25, that it's an automatic donation. She saw my things and knew that none of them would be priced higher than $25. When I reminded her what I was told, she states, "We would never say that, it's in your contract that it's an automatic donation.", as if I made up this story I checked the contract & Yes it's in there, but why then, would they tell me I could come get my things if they don't sell? She never mentioned "Only if the item is priced above $25". The store is small. I know where all of my items are. They are closed on Sundays and only open until 4pm on other days so I didn't expect to sell all of my things with those kind of hours but I figured, if they don't sell, it's fine because I can just pick them up at the end of my contract. I would have taken them to Turnstyle or My Sister's closet where most of my things do sell, but they are further away. If you consign here, bring a tape recorder for what they tell you, because without it, the contract is going to be what holds up. The 1st time I stopped to inquire about selling our stuff here, the owner of the store gave me a snooty once over and said, You know we only take better luxury brands here, as if I'm not the type to have nice things. I do not get dolled up to go to a consignment store. I've read their website and paperwork and see what they have on the racks. It's good to inform people of what you take and what you do not accept, but maybe without the judginess. I won't be shopping or selling at Consigning Women anymore. Turnstyle consignment lets you pick up your things for free and when they tell you this to your face, they mean it, and also my items sell there. read more

I moved back to the area after 3 yrs thought I would take a fun shopping break OMG really the sales lady in the floor today was so rude, granted I was not in my Sunday best but when she approached and asked if I wanted to try the few items I picked out on and said no I was ready to pay for them, she glares at me over her glasses and says Are you sure you know we have a no return policy if they don't fit. I know your polices I used to enjoy shopping in this store never again BtW I spent 66.00 the other lady you were so nice and gushing all over did not spend a dime. read more

My cousin brought me here for the very first time on August 2nd. I went to try on some cute things I found and only 1 out of the 3 fitting rooms was open, so I went in. I noticed that some clothes were left in the room and I saw a top among the group and decided to try it on as well. I came out to model for my cousin and both she and the lady behind the counter loved me in the Chico's top I had on...and agreed I should try on the top left behind in the room. I tried on all my selections, and lastly the one top left behind. Suddenly, someone opened the drape WHILE asking if someone was in the room. It was a curt customer telling me the clothes left in the room were hers. I handed her the bunch and said I would take off the one I had on (embarrassed). No sooner did I begin to take off the top when I overheard the customer tell a sales lady that I was trying on "all" of her clothes and she wanted that top I had on. Sales lady now comes to my room and also opens the drape and wants the top. I told her that I only tried on 1 thing that I thought was left behind. I felt my blood begin to boil...I quickly got dressed, returned the clothes to the racks that I had tried on, and left. There was no way I would make a purchase there. And my purchase would have been around $200. My privacy was invaded by both the customer and the sales lady. I was horribly embarrassed. Additionally, the clothes were not hers until she had a receipt for them, right? If the room was "reserved" then close the drape. Reserving rooms until a customer is ready to try clothes on is ridiculous. You can hold the selections for them, but tying up a room while they continue to shop is not fair for customers who have made a quick selection and want to try it on. I was in that room for at least 15 minutes before the customer barged in. I had no idea the clothes hanging in that room were held for someone and it caused me embarrassment and a feeling of being harassed by both the customer and the sales lady, not to say they both crossed the line by opening the drape. I will shop elsewhere. read more

I've always had great luck at this consignment store. I find a lot of work wear there. I live in Chicago and the prices for this consignment store are much cheaper with great quality. I've never had an issue with any of the sales people here. Will definitely be back read more
