I receive a bill for 88.00 for the company listed above. Last month the bill was 21.00 due to all the issues I had in August. I called and they told me it was for an upgrade that I ordered which I did but cancelled that evening. They told me that without the upgrade my monthly bill will be 66.00 they said because I cancelled my service and this is the new rate. Wrong I never cancelled my service so I am not paying a higher rate. They asked who I spoke to which they all know they don't give there name. I asked to speak with a supervisor they said there are 4 on but that they didn't know who was available so no you can't speak to a supervisor. I have never seen customer service so bad in my life. I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general and better business. I am disgusted with this company. Last time someone there wrote they were sorry for all I went thru and asked for my number for what you never did anything with it. I want my 88.00 you stole out of my acct. read more

Stunningly incompetent. Consolidated took over from Fairpoint in NH this year. I don't know how they can stay in business. I called in June in response to their ad for faster internet. Six times they have scheduled a tech visit, sometimes as far as a month out, and they have not shown up once in six months! Usually they don't even bother to call. I've stayed home from 8-5 each time. And this is in response to their ad! Why advertise it if you can't provide the service?? Super slow internet which regularly crashes. I'm going to try comcast because it's the only other choice here. It has to be better than this. read more

fairpoint's service is among the worst service i've ever had the disappointment to receive. Receiving a chipotle enema via rusty flanged mace is more enjoyable than dealing with the constant runarounds, deceptive promises, and complete lack of reliability that Fairpoint provides. Even when facing down factual evidence of their fault, they promise that "their technicians will be able to fix it, but if they fault your 3rd party router you will be charged" That router i was forced to pay for out of pocket myself when they wouldn't on multiple requests replace the faulty one provided. and WHEN their service is stable (do note the emphasis on when) you're not getting the service you're paying for by at least HALF. So, again, in short, i'd prefer being peeled alive by the dullest knife in existence than to further deal with this horrible company and their rancid service. read more

One year ago I moved into my home. I work from home and had scheduled my internet hook up 3 weeks prior to moving into my new home with consolidated communications. They kept telling me no problem your internet will he hooked up on time. I moved into my home and no internet for 2,weeks later with multiple calls daily to see when my internet would be hooked up. During the past year I have had times when the internet goes down but never really down for a long period of time. Recently the internet went down. I called and they said that it was out in Vermont and NH and they were trying to find the issue. I called everyday with no solutions. One day when I called I set an appointment to have my internet checked. They set up a day to have someone come out. The day came and went, when I called I was told that the appointment was cancelled. No one ever called me to let me know. I was told that a technician can come out on Saturday . I had gone out that day and when I came home there was no internet, I called again and was told the ticket was open for someone to come out on Monday . I called Consolidated communications 3 tiimes and was told all 3?times my order ticket was still open up until 6 pm. 6 pm came and went, I called them again and was told no one was coming out. I could not even cancel my subscription with them because the customer service department was now closed. I will cancel consolidated communications internet service and advise all you people who have it to do the same. They SUCK!!!! read more

this is the worst company to deal with for customer service. i was with this company for 7 years and had nothing but problems! they were out to fix the problems with my service and i was told that having two apple phones on the service was bogging it down! the equipment they give you is junk! when i finally switched my service after 7 years with them they are charging me a $120 cancellation fee! i have no problem paying my bill for what i used but how can you charge me a fee when you couldent provide me the service i was paying for? if you want internet that is slow and makes you feel like its 1998 again then this is the company for you! if you want internet that works just go to xfinity! read more

I took the triple play and got direct tv in a week, called CCI to find out when my phones and internet would be moved so I could cancel comcast they didn't put the order through correctly and cancelled it with out bothering to call me. Then they put a new order through, I got and appointment for 12/26 stayed home all day, no phone calls and no one showed up. Around 6 pm I got a call apologizing and stated they rescheduled me for the next day 8am to 5pm I took the entire day to be home for them. I called at 2pm and they said that someone would be here at 5pm they told me to call them tomorrow at 8am. Now I have to pay direct tv for a month, comcast for a month and have lost $200 in pay and my cost are escalating over this. read more

They failed to show up for two installation appointments that I HAD to give them a NINE HOUR window of opportunity to arrive. Just failed to show... blew me off completely, TWICE. By far the worst decision I have ever made. I have had spotty to nonexistent internet for over 4 months, and the tech support is no help. They have the worlds worst customer service and they continue to close the tickets without fixing the problem, I'm pretty sure they aren't even sending a technician out. I am drafting a letter to the better business bureau and I suggest you other unsatisfied customers due the same. My parents live in Epping Nh. They have had two scheduled appointments for installation/connection of services (phone/internet). Both have been no shows. Calls in were not met with help. Sadly, there is a lack of competition in that area or they would go a different route all together. If they cannot provide basic customer service and show up for SCHEDULED appointments, I have no faith that good service will follow IF my parents stay with Consolidated Communications. Nobody knows what they are talking about and nobody knows why we haven't gotten service, keep getting directed to different people and nobody has fixed the problem. Do not ever get their network. Aside from having extremely spotty service, the customer service is terrible. Their rates are outrageous for the service that is provided. While my service was down and I was waiting for service to be restored, I was told by three different customer service reps that I would have it active within an hour. This did not happen for a 24 hour period. The last time we had router issues, they told us we needed to buy our own equipment or they would charge us for the new router because the one they provided was defective. Unfortunately, there are limited options in my area, but I will be making the switch ASAP. read more

I first ordered service July 27th, 2018 as we were moving into a home that was already serviced by Consolidated. Should be a piece of cake, right?? Disconnect their service and hook mine up. My first install date was scheduled for August 15th ( Ok, two weeks out, I can handle that). Aug, 15th came around....I stayed home..... no one showed. I received an automated call at 6pm that day... It was being re-scheduled for the next day. Ok I thought...shit happens....so I took the next day off....waited and waited and waited...No show again. Another robo call from them that evening.... Now it was re-scheduled for Aug. 30th....SERIOUSLY?? I called them the next day to ask them what's up? No one really knew (big surprise), but was promised they would be there on the 30th. Aug. 30th came, but the technician didn't. Received another "Due to unforeseen circumstances...blah, blah, blah.......) Rescheduled this time for Sept. 11th (noticing a pattern yet??). Again I called..... the excuse this time was there is a shortage of technicians in the New England area (I'm in NH). Yea, ok..whatever. Fast forward to Sept. 11th. No one came, not that I expected anyone anyhow. Another robo call made to me after their 5pm closing time (coincidence?, I think not). This time the new date was Sept. 28th, again between 8am to 5pm (they really get those time frames narrowed right down). This time I called them the day of the appointment, about 10:30am. They said the appt. was still "pending", whatever that meant, but it had not been assigned to a technician yet ( Really?? Not assigned yet the day of the appt.??....Definitely not a good sign?). Yep, you guessed it, they never showed once again. Another automated call with that same stupid message...... Rescheduled for 10/1. Now here's where it gets good. Of course Oct. 1st came and went without anyone showing. Then it was re-scheduled for (and I kid you not), Oct. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th & Oct. 9th....all without anyone ever showing up. I finally had it, called them up and said I was not spending the rest of my adult life at home everyday waiting with the CHANCE that they might actually show at some point. Since that day (10/9) I have called them every two days to find out what is going on (since they stopped making all these appointments) and here is the list of other excuses I have gotten........ 1.) something wrong with the lines (funny though since neighbors on either side of me and across the street have Consolidated and they have had no issues). 2.) They have to "rebuild" the system (what does that even mean??). 3.) Shortage of Techs (I reminded them that they already used that excuse last month so please don't re-use excuses). 4.) My order has been sent to "Engineering" and they are reviewing it (that's the latest and the last thing I ever heard. Keep in mind that the first communication with them was on July 27th and today is Oct. 17th, so you do the math on how long it's been. If anyone from Consolidated is reading this review, and IF you even give a rat's ass (which I highly doubt), do you have any idea how hard it is living in 1978 when the rest of the world is in 2018??? Consolidated is by far the absolute worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in over 45 years of being an adult. If there were another option I would definitely take it, but then again, if we all had other viable options Consolidated would have no customers and be out of business. Maybe someday there will be and we can all tell Consolidated to Kiss Off. read more

Worst customer service I have ever received in regards to setting up utilities. I spent the day trying to communicate with the help line/ make sure the tech was coming still to put my internet in. Within that day I was on hold for over two hours. Any call you make to them will have a 20+ minute wait. In between the dropped calls and endless wait times I took the day off work to appease their 8am to 5pm window. I called the day before requesting morning time preferred. I called around 2pm to check in and I was still on the schedule for the day and was all set. Around 3pm i get an automated call saying the work-load for the day is too heavy and service would have to be a week away instead. My friend got service this same day around noon time in the same town i live in, this also made little sense to me. I called them to say this was unacceptable service, I took the day off work and did everything they asked of me. So i waited 45 minutes on hold for a supervisor. She tells me there is nothing she can do for me and that a tech would not come out to my house that day. In tears from frustration at this point she does nothing for me, i told her if this is how her company treats new customers i want no part of it. This company is understaffed, somewhat incompetent, and disrespectful. The way I was treated made me feel taken advantage of and mistreated. This company lost a brand new customer because all I was shown is that their customers don't matter. read more

This company has absolutely the worst customer service of any media company I've ever dealt with....worse than cox, Comcast...all of them. The innate ability to jerk people around is unparalleled. In trying to set-up new service, I spent three weeks going back and forth with them simply to get our two year old subdivision recognized in their system. They required a $100 deposit for $28/mo internet service...then MAILED me a letter after they took my deposit saying they needed the deposit because my credit was bad and to contact equifax (which was alarming because have good credit). Guess what, Equifax tells me I have a score of 824. ...story continues...they finally send an installer to our house and he informs us we can't have. Now I keep getting jerked around getting my money back. Terrible service over the phone....unending transfers and having to explain everything over and over again. Fairpoint is awful. read more
