We didn't want to give in, but there did come a time when it was emotionally too much for us to handle. My Grandmother, Lucy, had dementia and Parkinson's and eventually needed round the clock care. My Mother and I being overwhelmed finally decided we needed to consider homecare. We called and met with many different Care Providers in the area and finally found that Delta Home Care would be the best route to go. Why you ask? We never once felt like "just another client" but treated more like family. We were able to meet caretakers before we decided to go with Delta and the rates were more than just competitive they were more affordable than any other company we contacted (about half a dozen). Home care for your loved one isn't something we ever wanted to go around and find the cheapest bidder, its a human life. But not only did they help save us money they made my Grandmother feel special, loved, cared for and in the most professional manner from day 1. They really went above and beyond to find us caretakers that suited our family's needs. As well as us dealing with Delta, they were always prompt in all manners of communication in any and all matters we needed to discuss. Thanks Delta for providing a safe, professional, honest, and reliable service to our family. We'll never be able to thank you enough.

The Stanford Court Nursing Facility recommended Delta Home Health Care and hired this company to assist me. I was required to have 24 hour care, 7 days a week for approximately a month. Many of the caregivers that were send to assist me were unqualified and would change daily. I felt like my home had a revolving door. because of the seriousness of a wound that I had it was necessary to change bandages at least twice a day. The company could not hold on to any one qualified caregiver for over a few days. In the end they tried to overcharge me for services of a nurse that was contracted. After their group left my home I found many things missing, including a diamond ring that was left to me by my mother at the time of her death. Since I could not prove who had taken it, I send an test message to the contact I was dealing with and she did not respond. He group was the only people in my house that I did not know, I still find things missing but now it's been over as year and a half, I can't do anything but warn others of this companies practices. Beware....demand the same people....demand to interview who will be your care given.

Once Mom was able to return home we knew she would need assistance during the day while we were away. Lauren was mentioned during a support group for a rare disease my Mother has. She was very thorough, communicative and listened to what my Mother needed. It took a reasonable amount of time to find the right caregivers that meshed well with Mom. But, that was expected, as new people enter one another's lives it takes time to find the right fit. Lauren's team literally saved her life. Part of Mom's neurodegenerative disease impacts her ability to chew, and swallow. While taking her morning vitamins one day, Mom began choking and the visiting angel with her immediately knew what to do. Had the caregiver not been with Mom that day she wouldn't be us. Unfortunately because the disease continued to progress we eventually had to find a suitable home to provide her with 24 hour assistance. Had Mom's disease not progressed, we would not have stopped working with Lauren and her Visiting Angels team. Lastly, I believe SD Visiting Angels was previously owned and operated by someone else, prior to Lauren taking ownership. I cannot speak to the caliber of the earlier company, however, Lauren is a knowledgeable, genuine and caring person. We are thankful we were able to work together to source caregivers for our loved one.

I had the benefit of home care services by ACCENTcare from the moment I returned from the hospital. Because at the beginning I was having three shifts of helpers per day, I had the opportunity to meet quite a number of the staff employed by ACCENT. They were uniformly well-trained, pleasant, and able to meet all my needs in full. Among the responsibilities I had them engage in was hygiene, bathing, assistance with ambulation, dressing, and rising and lowering from a chair. These marvelous staff members were also able to engage in meal preparation, light house work, and accompanying me to Doctor appointments. I am quite pleased to recommend this company to those who need caregiver services.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SAN DIEGO HOME HEALTHCARE!! The…read moreSan Diego VA contracts with this company for home health care for veterans (in my case my 95 year old father). I would give them 0 stars if I could. Here's what is absolutely horrible about them: - They cancel last minute and you are left with no care. This happened frequently so it was very frustrating. - You are not notified in advance, they are just a no-show. Then we call to complain, and they state that we called to cancel service, which is not true. - They sent a young man to help us, and he would not touch my father. How do you care for an elderly person without touching them? He said he was trained by "watching a video" but didn't have any hands-on training. He was there for night care, and left earlier than he was supposed to without telling anyone. We also discovered he may have taken items from the house, and was snooping around in the garage (the security latch was not on when we awoke in the morning). Completely unacceptable!
