I took it to San Jose Honda GP Sports and they said its not covered under warranty. I went to Hollister Honda today and they fixed it right away!! Rob and JT were fantastic as usual and I met the owner who went out of his way to explain they will always look after their customers!! I am so impressed with this business I recommend everyone go there for a bike or a side by side!!

Before they'll accept a bike on consignment, they charge $200 for a health and safety inspection. My 2018 Indian Scout Bobber had fewer than 4,000 miles, was in excellent condition, and passed that inspection without issue. After my bike sat on their showroom floor for 10 months, I received a call saying they could no longer sell it unless I paid approximately $700 to replace the fork seals and another $150 for a new battery. The battery recommendation made no sense because I had installed a brand-new battery only a month before dropping the bike off. It also appears the battery was never kept on a tender during the 10 months they had possession of it. When I picked up my motorcycle, I discovered a large scratch on the top of the rear fender that was not there when I left it. They denied any responsibility. To make matters worse, they still tried to charge me to replace the battery before releasing my bike. Overall, I left disappointed with the communication, the care taken with my motorcycle, and what felt like unnecessary repair recommendations after almost a year of waiting. I would not use their consignment service again.

They typically respond quickly to any leads to make a sale. So, I called the dealership the following afternoon to ask about fees. They informed me that each bike is different and could have varying fees, so they couldn't (or wouldn't) give me an out-the-door price over the phone. About 15 minutes after my call, I received a call back from a salesperson. I told them that it seemed like a good deal, but I didn't want the $1,999 price to increase significantly due to bogus/high fees. They absolutely refused to provide any pricing over the phone, which is an automatic red flag in my opinion. Their excuse was that only "normal fees" would apply, and they claimed to be super short-staffed, unable to do paperwork for everyone. An employee named Tyler assured me that he was handling sales, service, and everything else at the shop, so he couldn't provide an out-the-door price because he was just too busy. I have dealt with many honest dealerships, and while they might not have known the out-the-door price immediately, they either ran the numbers and called me back or emailed me a PDF/document with the complete price. Hollister Powersports goes one step further and shows the fees you'll be charged, such as freight, destination, and setup fees, directly on their website. The lack of transparency at this dealer is disappointing and would love to give them my business but I won't go in if they're going to play games. I've owned multiple motorcycles over the years, and only the dishonest dealers operate in this manner. I've even completed motorcycle sales entirely over the phone and had them delivered without hassle(Eurocycle Sonoma). The dealer provided me with the out-the-door price with minimal hassle; it just took some time. I'd advise to avoid this place and avoid the headache and frustration that comes with dishonest dealerships. Update: After cancelling my appointment with the salesperson over the phone they kept trying to avoid giving me a price over the phone. I declined and told them I'd only deal with more transparent dealerships. They gave me a call shortly after and left a voicemail saying that we could "work something out over the phone". If we had started with that conversation in the first place I'd likely have purchased the bike outright. I'd have known my out the door price and overall felt better overall about the experience. The management/ownership of this dealership needs to change tactics on how they go about sales. I will say throughout that the salesperson Tyler was polite and was never rude to me over the phone. Of course as always with businesses the employees are great but are kneecapped by managements blindness to the customer experience.

I came in this morning and was greeted by two of the kindest gentleman I have ever met. They were both incredibly patient, thoughtful and empathetic while we discussed the damage and what my options would be. I came back at the end of the day to some very good news and the even better unexpected news that they would go over my estimate with me to see where I could save on sourcing parts for the repair! Given that the last two shops I went to straight up lied and fudged the hell out of the estimate(to the point where I almost lost my bike because they claimed so much that State Farm wanted to total loss it) I was obviously nervous about going to a new shop to potentially have the same thing happen. I'm so happy to say I've found a new shop for life and that I've finally found people I can trust with my most precious belonging. Thank you guys so much for everything, you guys are the absolute best

I came in prepared to make multiple purchases and, frankly, left confused by the entire experience. My time is limited. I run a business and manage private investments, so when I shop for vehicles, I generally know what I want, have a budget established, and am prepared to buy. I was looking for three machines: 1. A Can-Am Canyon Redrock -- budgeted around $36,000. 2. Either a 125th Anniversary Indian Chief or a black Chief Bobber -- around $24,000. 3. A Challenger Dark Horse with the PowerPlus 112, preferably blue, that I can eventually set up with a sidecar for my service dog -- around $35,000. I had made sure I had approximately $100,000 available so that if the right machines and numbers were there, I could simply pay cash and get it done. I arrived shortly before closing, and the salesperson was friendly, but surprisingly unfamiliar with the Can-Am Canyon. I actually had to point the Canyon out on a poster because he initially didn't think they carried it. When I asked about the Redrock trim, there was additional confusion because he thought I was asking for something other than a Canyon. I was looking for a Canyon Redrock. They didn't have the motorcycles I wanted, which isn't anyone's fault. We did, however, work numbers on the Canyon. They came back at roughly $38,000. I countered at $35,500. Instead of countering or trying to find a number that worked, I was essentially told to "come back when you're ready to buy." That was the part I couldn't understand. I was ready to buy. In fact, I kept trying to close the deal. It was one of the strangest sales experiences I've had because I felt like I was the salesperson trying to overcome the dealership's objections. I didn't expect them to accept every number I offered. Negotiating is part of buying a vehicle. I expected a counteroffer, a conversation with a manager, or some effort to find common ground -- particularly when I was potentially looking at purchasing three machines. Instead, I left. The salesperson was nice, and I don't have anything personally negative to say about him. But being willing and financially prepared to spend close to $100,000 and leaving because I couldn't get the dealership to actually sell me something was a very strange experience. At this point, I'll most likely bought the Canyon from another dealer over the phone when I was still in their parking lot and will probably get the Indians through another dealer.
