During those visits I had extensive halo X-rays and regular X-rays. Today I was told if I didn't have a "big picture done" Each Individual Tooth X rayed, they would not clean my teeth. I walked out. That is not necessary. I just had halo X-rays done a year ago. It isn't healthy to have that many X-rays. I am 72. I am not getting all new crowns or veneers. Not going back ever. Furious. They would not clean my teeth unless I agreed to have each tooth xrayed!

The office feels like a giant cattle call. No friendliness, no warmth, the revolving door of staff shows how bad it's become. On our most recent visit, there were FOUR temporary hygienists/assistants. You never see the same team. We've witnessed questionable behavior from a dentist there (male military dentist), we've seen hygienists standing around eating in the patient area. This office is no longer what it once was and we are moving on. Following Dr Sommer to Youngsville Dentistry, he's terrific and actually cares about his patients.

However, my time and energy have been wasted on several occasions by the front desk staff to the point that I am choosing a different dental office to visit. Two of my appointments in the past few months were cancelled within 48 hours. This is extremely unprofessional. I have 3 cleanings per year through Delta Dental. I was told on two separate appointments by Aspen Dental staff that I owed out of pocket for these cleanings, which I know is not true. This time, I was told that I needed to wait 30-45 calendar days for Aspen Dental to verify my insurance. As soon as I called Delta Dental, they confirmed that this could be confirmed online within 30 seconds. I waited on a 3 way call for Aspen Dental to figure out my plan on their end and they couldn't do it after 20 minutes on the phone. It seemed like laziness to me. Delta Dental staff confirmed with me that this issue should not be happening. It seemed like this was Aspen Dental's first day in dealing with insurance so I took my service elsewhere

I have emetophobia & everyone was sure to walk me through the whole process bc I was nervous about gagging. I haven't gotten my teeth cleaned in 3-4 years so mine were pretty rough and I was still only charged the $97, so not sure what other reviewers were talking about.. Going in I was a little nervous because of the other yelp reviews but I actually had a really good experience. To note it did take me a long time as a new patient to get set up, I was in there for 3 hours for all the exams, x rays, cleanings and walkthrough of what procedures I needed. I don't think this is a bad thing as they want to gather as much info as possible on your teeth but be prepared to be here a while.
