My mother passed away two months ago, and navigating everything that comes with that loss felt overwhelming. From the very beginning, their team made the entire process feel straightforward and manageable. They were incredibly respectful, responsive, and handled every detail with care and dignity. One thing that really stood out to me was their pricing. Everything was clearly laid out upfront, all-inclusive, and exactly as quoted--no hidden fees, no surprise add-ons. After dealing with other companies where costs kept creeping up, this level of transparency was such a relief. It allowed us to focus on honoring my mom instead of worrying about unexpected expenses. What stood out most overall was how easy they made everything during such an emotional time. There was no confusion, no added stress--just clear communication and genuine support when it mattered most. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Opal Cremation Services of Greater Los Angeles to anyone going through this process. They truly bring peace of mind when you need it the most.

I would highly recommend. I called a few other places and they weren't nearly as kind or attentive. Opal was a tiny bit more expensive but completely worth it. You get what you pay for.

Taking a very delicate sad and emotional experience and turning it into a positive loving and grateful experience. Shout out to Diana who helped me transfer my Partner to a biodegradble urn (I bought one and brought in myself). Simple efficient and I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you LA Cremation. Will definitely be spreading the good word to family and friends.

I could not believe that during my initial calls, that only two of the businesses seemed compassionate and offered condolences for our loss. I know it seems silly, but what terrible business practice not to be compassionate during one of the most difficult times for a family. Well one of the only two businesses to offer not only compassion, but exemplified the meaning of compassion and professionalism was LA Cremation. I initially called on a Sunday morning. Within a few minutes, my call was returned and we were immediately greeted with their condolences and a complete rundown of their services. This was all delivered compassionately without feeling like a sales pitch. The representative then set up a telephone conference for the following morning with the counselor that would be working directly with us. The following morning, I received a call from Daisy, who was amazing. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, compassionate and extremely professional. Daisy provided incredible concierge service and assisted us in every step of the way. She consistently remained in contact with us throughout the entire process and provided up with updates. Lastly, the cost with LA Cremation was less than half of what was quoted to me by the cremation company that rhymes with "autotune." Overall, I cannot express how pleased we have been with LA Cremation and Daisy. Thank you Daisy for helping us though this difficult time.

I could write many things about this cemetery. I've no family buried here, none that plan to be. My…read moreconnection to this cemetery is strictly on a genealogical level. I've visited this cemetery now for the past 5 plus years almost monthly taking photos of markers so that I could upload them to sites Billiongrave.som and findagrave.com to assist a family who may be seeking their loved ones. Most times I go just to a section I plan to photograph but other times I get requests to take a photo and must go into office to get its location. Almost always the staff has been accommodating and assisted me in finding the grave location. I've also gotten help in uncovering markers that over time may have been covered by grass and dirt which they could have had me come back another day but did not. When they haven't accommodated me it's because they have customers and I totally get it, however, they have gotten back to me with my request. This cemetery did start with a fanfare from articles I read in newspapers from the 20's when this cemetery was founded. It was originally formed from a foundation that had a trust fund to upkeep the cemetery, it was designed to not only be a cemetery but a park where people could stroll among statues and fountains. The iconic organ that was specifically commissioned for the cemetery was said to be heard up to five miles away in any direction, many events were held at the cemetery involving the organ including many events surrounding the military and veterans. All this is now long, the organ sold off due to many issues with repairs, it's location that the elements took a toll on. There are no statues, one was supposed to include Teddy Roosevelt who the cemetery was named after. Like most cemeteries, the care lacks and most of the individual graves are left to the care of the family. When I do visit as part of my genealogical work I bring a broom now, cutting scissors or sheers, a couple of very wet towels or a spray bottle to try and clear away any debris, dirt that is growing or covering the marker. The military markers are specially cleaned out of great respect for their service. If you have family there and they currently are not reflected on sites findagrave.com or billiongraves.com contact me so I can photograph and/or add to these sites for prosperity.

Extremely difficult to get a response via call or text and when we did we weren't given the correct information or she had zero recollection of our appointment even after just having spoken to her. Had to spend $350 out of our own pocket because the fees were never properly explained. Told to send email about the property but she didn't specify what it should say so had to resend the day of our appointment. And we weren't told the proper paperwork to bring so we had to wait even longer to finish so she could try to fix it. All of this after telling her multiple times we were driving from very far way to complete this transfer. So glad my in-laws are DONE with them.
