There was plenty of parking. I was directed through text to "check-in" online once I arrived on site and given a QR code to scan at the kiosk for my ticket number. When it was my turn, my ticket number appeared on the screen in the front of the room and I was also texted. Once I went to the window, I showed the necessary documents to the employee, she gave me a receipt and was told I would get my new social security card in 2 weeks. I was out in less than 5 minutes. I have been trying since the beginning of this year to get what should be simple documentation processed, and after multiple attempts, I still have not been able to get the help or resolution I need. Today, September 9, 2026, at approximately 9:57 AM, I specifically asked to speak with a supervisor because the issue has been going on for months. Instead of contacting the supervisor or explaining a clear process for speaking with one, I was repeatedly denied the opportunity. I even asked what I needed to do in order to speak with the supervisor, and they still would not call or notify the supervisor that I was requesting assistance. What made the experience even worse was the security guard on site today. The interaction was extremely rude and disrespectful at a time when I was simply trying to get assistance with an issue that has remained unresolved for most of the year. It is unacceptable that someone can spend months trying to resolve a documentation issue and still be unable to get meaningful assistance or even speak with a supervisor after specifically requesting one. People come to the Social Security Administration because they need help with important matters, and they deserve to be treated respectfully and given clear answers. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a government office. I hope management at the Concord location reviews how situations like this are being handled and takes these complaints seriously.

She was very nice and took down my info then asked me to hold. A new person, Jennifer, came on the line and took over where the previous person left off. She already had up my records and was ready to work. While it's impossible to pinpoint the reason that I had to call in the first place, Jennifer explained my steps from there and I gathered what she told me then emailed her. I received an email back from her within an hour or so, saying she will review my documentation and come back to me with anything else needed. Both of the people I talked to were very nice. Both of the people I talked to were extremely competent. I was very happy with the interaction and in this day and age where I usually need to talk to a robot first, I was so pleased to talk to real people!

I didn't even have to sit in the waiting area because they took me right in. Although I heard you could do your TWIC and TSA Precheck enrollments at the same time, I made two separate appointments 30 mins apart just to cover all of my bases. They were able to complete both appointments in one sitting. I received my TWIC and TSA Precheck in the mail about 2 weeks later! I had a fantastic experience, and felt like I needed to share after seeing the bad reviews on this Yelp page.

The spot I found was dangerous and cars were whizzing by. I jumped onto a drain pipe, afraid to get into my car, and waited for help. FORTUNATELY a CHP officer arrived, and calmed the situation, friendly, courteous, and professional, then asked whether he wanted me to stay. He handled the whole situation, perfectly, even helping the tow truck get away safely, etc. This officer and office needs to be commended, for sure. Unless you are volunteering in the library, visiting family members incarcerated, or have legal business, you won't get in! Located right near a lot of other county offices (not "off the beaten path!), it is easy to find, and in all the time I volunteered in their library I never had a problem parking. Of course it was "neat and tidy," like a "business office!" It is clean, well run. The youth are fortunate to have a library with a librarian, as most Juvenile facilities do not. (That is why I give it a 5) When there are volunteers (hint, hint!) the can have access to the Internet for research for when they get out, on colleges, etc. If you have children sent here, be reassured. The employees I was in contact with were kind and understanding. The kids even attend school.
