I saw him posting a lot of good pictures online and I figured i thought I'd give him a shot. We got in touch we spoke about a few jobs I have that I need help with and he said he can help me. I told him the requirements that we have and he said no problem he can get this to us. - Insurance certificate with our name on it before he starts working. - Take before, During and After pictures. This was June 19th week. June 23rd. I contacted him asking him if he was still planning on going to the clients home on Saturday to do the work. He responded yes. He told me it would be done by Sunday. It wasn't and he didn't contact me to let me know. (Very frustrating as I shouldn't be continuously contacting him). The job wasn't done over the weekend. The job was supposedly going to be done on the following Tuesday but it didn't until Wednesday. I understand weather permitting, however he never told me that he was coming out the following day. Wednesday supposedly the job was completed but it wasn't. This was a 1 man - 2 day job and pretty cut and dry project. Thursday June 29th I reached out to Dan about his project. I had to stop out at the property to find the fence installed has major issues since he never sent me the pictures. 1. Posts are loosely in the ground. They move and jiggle around. They aren't solidly in the ground as they should be. 2. The fence is chipped and cracked in several areas along the hinge areas very visible. 3. One post is being held up by a bungie cord - because the post isn't solid and is loose. 4. One post is crooked. 5. On one side of the home the fence isn't flush with the home as it should be. There is a piece of fence between the gas meter and the post loosely standing there. 6. The hinges on the left side of the garage are facing out and the one on the right side of the home are on the inside. 7. The gate can't open clearly due to the gas meter being in the way. Per the previous fence the gate opened as it was in the middle. 8. The gate on the left side was supposed to be 48" and 36" on the right side. He responded blaming me for picking out the worst materials to have installed. "Clients choice". It's a crappy installation. See the attachments. Dan asked me what I'm charging for labor and I responded; What I charge for labor or for the job has NOTHING to do with your quality of work period! He offered to have this fixed on the 4th of July and I declined as my client is having guests over this holiday weekend. This should have been fixed before the weekend not when it's convenient for him. This crappy installation can hurt my business reputation. He has used volger language with me and has threatened me because I've brought this to his attention. I had to get my attorney involved as he's acting out of control instead of fixing the problem so he can get paid. Update 7/13/18 The project is still incomplete. Unfortunately we have had to get our attorney involved since Dan has made severe threats after leaving this review online. Additionally he isn't willing to work with us and get it done how our contract with our client states. "Dans texts below; The next thing I say to you will be face to face. I'm done with the text talk. Maybe reconsider the way you talk to people, it may run some the wrong way I FUCKING TOLD YOU I WAS GOING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES. Apparently you can't read or were ignoring it. lol..... sue me......for damage I did or material I wasted of yours? Emotional distress? I'm done with this for today guy. I wouldn't say that any of them really impressed me to the point of carving out 20 minutes of my insane schedule to write a review, good or bad. Obviously that changed when I met CJ @ Illinois restoration... Unfortunately about 2 months ago I had toilet water coming through my ceiling into my therapy bay from the dermatology clinic upstairs. I obviously freaked out and immediately called CJ who I had recently been introduced to. He literally stopped what he was doing and was at my clinic in 15 minutes. He took control of the situation and to my astonishment, had a team pull an overnight to 100% clean and de-nastify my space. I was able to treat patients the very next day! The story doesn't end there. The people responsible for the mess were less than cooperative and CJ and his crew were phenomenal go-betweens to get the mitigation and the rebuild covered as quick as possible. I did not know that any mitigation company also did the rebuild work! 100% made a shitty (no pun intended!) situation so much more tolerable. I can't say enough about CJ and his team. Super fast, always answered the phone and exceptionally high quality work all around! Thanks guys!!

Had a house fire disaster Solutions did the mitigation and reconstruction. They did not clean a majority of the household items that they removed. Left my house a total wreck. Did not clean up after themselves. The owner hushed me in my own house where we then got into a verbal altercation after the company broke my peloton bike. They don't have licensed electricians doing th electrical which led to many other issues after they "completed" The Work. The crew chief/supervisor George called me after the verbal altercation with his boss and said he does not represent my teams values and work ethics. Considering the fact that I have not been able to get the company back to Fix the issues from their incompetent employees who also lie Tells me a lot about the overall company. I've called my insurance and told them not to use them anymore. If they offered to redo everything for free, I would deny access to my home. They lie, They do work halfway, They don't clean up, And they won't come and fix what they messed up. Very unqualified and lead by an ignorant, Rude, And deceitful owner.

He is extremely professional and knowledgeable! Fantastic crew too! We initially contacted Rest-a-sure Restoration to get a quote on a new roof and water sealant in our downstairs. Mike gave us free advice on how to seal off the leak problem and my husband repaired it for $30. Mike was the lowest of 3 estimates on our roof! He repaired our skylights and had our roof installed in a day and a half. Very fast turn around! He also built a new set of wood front stairs and railings for us. And most recently took out our old wood fence and replaced it with vinyl. Mike specializes in wood work and water damage/repair issues, but really is a jack of all trades! He has consistently done quality work for us!

A windstorm came through in late winter and tore off several sets of shingles, so the work was very minor and many contractors didn't find it worth their time. Mike came over quickly to assess the damage and it was fixed before the first rainstorm of 2016. There was a minimum cost for the visit and the work wasn't quite enough to warrant that so they did some caulking around vents and inspected the rest of the roof. It was truly a great experience, or at least as good as hiring a contractor to fix a small section of roof could be. I would definitely recommend Rest-A-Sure.
