The other furnace was crap and only lasted a year before the blower failed (because of the pressure miss match caused by the plenum mismatch). They replaced the furnace with a good one, AND got it up off the floor like it SHOULD have been. In addition to correcting the plenum, they put a NEW and correct filter housing on it. That doesn't seem like a big thing except the prior company had some dummy install a filter housing with the screws facing IN to the slot where the filter sits making it a real pain to replace. In the winter, the plumber cut a pipe to my HVAC unit without knowledge that he had cut off service to this unit. I didn't give permission for this to occur either. As a result, when I realized this is what happened, I called and asked them to fix the pipe as a pro bono measure since it was a mistake. I didn't feel it was my responsibility to pay for an error they made. Although it is December and cold out, it took them two phone calls and over four hours later to call me and let me know they would charge me for the work but they'd be happy to send someone out to do it. As a small business owner, I feel this is a terrible way to treat clients. It is important for businesses to take responsibility for the actions they have caused. I clearly told the owner on the phone that I would no longer be using their services moving forward.
