But now I need to Was visiting from out of town looking for a spot to get a beer before dinner, little did I know I was about to walk into one of the best places on God's green earth. Everything about this place was firing on all cylinders. Beer: phenomenal, music choice: solid, regulars: a hoot AND a holler, the decor:pirate themed but classy.I used to think rural PA was a black hole devoid of anywhere interesting to go. A great brewery with a unique atmosphere. No TV and we love it. Music selection is random and great. You can actually have a quiet conversation in an adjacent room or engage in general conversation with locals and meet new people that travel thru the area and want to try it out. I LOVED this brewery. Everything from beer to beer menu to decor was unique. Beer menu on tablets. Interesting beers from Gruit( ancient beer style w/o hops) to jalapeño lager to rhubarb gose as well as some solid standards like IPAs and a tasty imperial stout. Stopped at this place while in the area over the weekend and was insanely impressed. The jalapeno lager at this brewing company is an absolute treasure! This place doesn't seem like it's a mecca for beer on the outside, but wow---once you get inside! The beers on tap all range in color and taste and the beermaster on premises is such a nice and smart guy. He took time to explain his craft and how he decided on the logo for the brewery, as well as his technique for exploring and using different hops to make some delicious creations. The nautical theme of the place is a nod to the town's history and can be felt in every crevice of the taproom. I noticed that Conyngham Brewing Company also hosts a brunch every 4th Sunday for a beyond reasonable price that features some of the most artisan brunch foods available. My wife and I visited for the first time Saturday, we walked in and were the only ones there but within an hour the whole bar was full. The bartender (Joe) was great, helpful and knowledgeable. Their beer was really good too. Best Jalapeño Lager I've had, also really liked the Grodziske. They did have a nitro IPA which was different and a nice change of pace. We'll keep an eye out for their new beers and check it out again someday. read more

I wish this place had been open when I still lived in Conyngham. Oh well. But it is a nice local brewery with an impressive number of beers on draught. The beers I've had have been fresh and tasty. They did a great job remodeling a historic building in the center of Conyngham and this is a great addition to the area. It's very welcoming and cozy inside. There's a nice English dart board in the back room too. They plan to add more seating, which is good because this place is only going to get more popular. Still haven't found a beer I like at this place. I don't like a very hoppy beer and everything they make has a ton of hops. Someone told me to try the jalapeño beer, and they raved about it and went on and on, and my husband nor myself could finish the small sample glass we got. The owner is extremely rude also, his personality is like his beer... just awful. read more

Visited with my husband and in-laws this past Sat night. What a gem- so happy to see a place like this in the Hazleton area. My in-laws live in Drums and one of my frustrations has been the lack of bars which serve more than just Bud Light. Conyngham Brewing is just a few minutes away from Drums. The beers are fantastic and the ambience is just lovely, very cozy, a great place to converse with friends. Will definitely return I only wish they were open more nights of the week! read more

I've traveled America and sampled beers from all over the country and This place ranks up there with Three Floyd's, Weyerbacher and Toppling Goliath as one of my favorite. I love microbreweries and have visited quite a few over the years. I recently found out about this brewery and had to give it a try! They had a decent selection of beer and I must say there were some of the best microbrews I've had in a long time. I tried their jalapeno longer which was excellent. I also enjoy their Irish stout! They had some unique historic style drafts and I try all of them. They all were brewed to perfection and I am hooked on this place now! What a great place! When you walk in you feel like you're walking into an old tavern or a pirate ship..there are no tv's so you can actually have a conversation with people and music is on but low so you can talk. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their products...they have old favorites such as their IPA and Jalepeno Lager but they are constantly adding new brews to try.
