This was a pleasant surprise. I got the double burger with onion rings and coleslaw. Everything tasted remarkably fresh service at the front counter was good. The food was very tasty and served hot. Except for the coleslaw, which was chilled to perfection and it had a nice light and fresh taste. They really need to do something about giving the restaurant and exterior and parking lot a little bit of a refreshed look. The way it looks on the outside is not very impressive. But I guess it's just the food and the service that really matters ultimately. I'm happy with a tasty hot reasonably priced meal. Good job. read more

I didn't get what I ordered all at once. I or burgers fries and onion rings and shakes. I received two burgers and shakes. left thinking my order was complete but then I realized that I didn't get any onion rings or fries, which also let us know that one burger was cold. so I had to reorder the fries and onion rings and get a new burger which was also wrong. The service has changed and I no longer recommend them to anyone. I received a response and offered me to call them at corporate. After discussing with discussing with them what happened everyone is on same page and looking forward to going back. read more

I was waiting In the drive thru and this person was ordering ahead of me and was rudely talked to by the lady at the drive thru saying I can't hear you, I don't understan, are you trying to say "this and that" and that continued for about a minute then I ordered my food and drink and an extra side, when pulled up at window this woman running drive thru said did you get both your drinks and I told her no I just got the tea and the other food and she said well you only ordered the food and you'll have to pay for the drink, I said I ordered my drink and then replied but I didn't order any drink when I clearly did and that I have to pay for it after I already do pay for everything, so they stole my money but it wasn't worth arguing with her because with her attitude I knew I was not going be right in her opinion, I don't argue ignorance. won't be coming back during her shift I promise read more

Cookout is always an inexpensive favorite when I travel south. Decent quality food at an affordable price. We usually are able to try a few things on the menu because it is so reasonable. This visit we had a few items on our order and I could tell the person taking the order was impatient. When she read our order back, I went to correct missing items and her response was "thank you next window please". When we checked our order, of course there were items missing so we had to go in to get the remaining things we ordered. Bottom line...each customer is a paying customer and no other person's money is better then the next. Ensure you provide good and complete customer service to each person. When my family and I were going to a cookout we ordered a cheeseburger and fries when I was eating my fries I felt a long piece of hair in my french fries and it was not my hair because I have a buzzcut this was like girl hair like a dirty blond and that's why I rate this 2 stars but there are some times where the food is good and hair free. read more

This Cook Out is efficient and gets my order right every single time. The speakers at the drive thru work great so you don't have to learn another language to decipher what is being said. The people are always friendly from beginning to end. Food is served hot and I always get my condiments. read more

We discovered this treasure about a week ago and fell in love. Tonight they messed up orders and I was fine and patient until I waited 20 minutes for them to get us our correct meal. This was in addition to the 10 minutes we spent in the drive through. I asked to speak to Alex the manager and the coward hid in the back and sent out another lady. Mind you she was working her BUTT off and he sent her out to deal with me. Yet one of his high school employees came in and rudely demanded the schedule. Then grabbed the mic from across the counter and said MANAGER TO THE FRONT and Alex came running. Our other 4 orders are cold and we are pissed. No offer for refund or anything. Have only been here to eat when it first opened and I basing my star rating on this Grand Opening experience. It was very crowded during opening week with the drive up full and lines out the facility door. Staff offering prompt courteous service dispite the Grand Opening madness. When I drove up to my hotel and realized there was a Cookout within waking distance, I felt the gates is heaven open up! My goodness, I loved cookout when I was in school. I know what I like and how I like it. Out west style cookout tray with nuggets and Cajun fries, large sweet tea to drink. So I order this....I tell the lady 3 times fries with Cajun. Ask me if I got Cajun on my fries...go ahead...ask me. I don't like cookouts fries without the cajun so I threw them in the trash. Rip off. Ordered a burger tray with onion rings. When I got home, found that they only gave me 3 onion rings, one of which was about the size of a nickel. Called the store and manager said that the "tray" (which I thought was their version of the "combo meal" but really isn't) was supposed to have only 4 onion rings. Manager said I could drive back there and they would give me my missing onion ring. A call to the corporate office confirms this, but at least corporate offered me a coupon for my trouble. Been here several times over the course of since they opened. I have to say that everyone has their own opinion as to what they think is good food and what is not.. I personally am not real hip on their burgers as they are cooked till they are like a hockey puck. If I had to pick the best thing on the menu I would say it is their BBQ platter. Tonight my family and I chose Cookouts for dinner after a long day spent in the hospital. This was our first meal of the day since sedation prohibits meals. We ordered 3 BBQ sandwiches and 2 walnut shakes. Much to my dismay, we got 2 fancy banana shakes and ended up throwing 1 of our sandwiches away because I saw what appeared to a bug on the bun. I called and spoke to a condescending, Dylan Pecker who offered a sandwich and 2 shakes. I was disgusted at the unconcern. Shouldn't Pecker consider my long drive, my long day and the fact that I passed dozens of restaurants just to patronize them. I am talking partial refund at least and food, just to cover the drive all the way back. Ordered a chocolate shake through the drive-thru and only had one car in front of us. It took 11 minutes to get our order. Apparently, they decided that waiting for a corn dog to cook was more important than the line of cars behind the first car. Also, they were rude to us when we suggested they move a car up when an order couldn't be completed right away. I always have terrible service here. I have only gone about 3 times, but won't be returning any time soon. Staff was extremely rude on several occasions, and the burgers are cheap quality. Drive-through very slow, car in front of me had a large order. They don't move the car up so they can serve smaller orders behind. Double check your order bfore you leave the window (even if cars backed up) especially if you order 2 hotdogs with different toppings or have a special order. I got 2 hotdogs, both were the same even though I ordered different. Also, be sure to check and make sure you gt a straw and napkins if you want them. I did not get either, making it very hard to drink large tea on the road. Iced tea had minimal ice. Hushpuppies were not bad. Will only come back if I want a lot of mediocre food cheap. read more
