So I've been to this cookout a few times and the food is OK. It's fast food. So of course the quality isn't wonderful. But assess food goes my kids are happier with cookout than anywhere else. For just over five dollars you can get a full meal and a drink so it's way cheaper than most of the other fast food places. For example tonight we got large baskets with chicken strips a corndog fries and floats. Three large chicken strips a ton of fries and a corndog and a float what more can you get for five dollars. For fast food..its a good stop. Fresh, consistent & fast. I always look forward to stopping by a Cookout when I pass through the area.

This place is garbage. All they care about is speed, and in so the quality ceases to exist. 69 seconds or less for lunch, and after, 79 seconds. The employees become Pavlovian in nature, due to the reprimands that come from not being fast. In doing so, to acheive times, they cheat if they have to. Cooking the "grilled" chicken in fry oil. Cooking fried products for less time than they are supposed to, or keeping products up for too long, making them less than fresh. Don't touch the chili until after 4pm. The chili during lunch is the leftover chili from the day before and doesn't get switched out until they run out. Same thing goes for the cheese sauce. Their serving issues aside, as of late every trip made here has been terrible. Rarely get my order right. I'm usually missing an item or got the wrong item. Hushpuppies are notoriously burnt, as are my bacon and grilled onions. Shakes are never full, and my food is usually not made to order. And one for the road... They market their bar-b-que as fresh. The bar-b-que comes in frozen tubs that they thaw, that can sit in the freezer for days. Crew spend more time talking with each other then attending to the business of food The 1/2 hr to 45 minutes I spent there allowed me to see 2 customers return their burgers because they were not as ordered. My order was a double burger, fries and slaw and a big drink The double burger had an onion slice on it that wasn't able to be bitten it was so old and dry. I went through the drive thru at 02:30 and ordered a Cajun Sandwich with chili cheese fries and onion rings, however; I wasn't aware that it came with mayonnaise on it and forgot to ask to have it taken off. He very politely took the sandwich back and remade it. Upon returning the sandwich I asked him to remake he turned down my offer for beer (only thing I had to offer because I had no cash.) This location is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is really good and fresh others it's either cold, or it's old food that they stopped back in the friers or heated in a microwave or something.
