When we arrived here we noted that the restaurant was very clean. I had the bowl and my husband had the tacos, the bowl had a white rice, black beans, corn salsa, pork, and a few other items. It was really good.he had 3 tacos , ground beef, chicken, and pork. The shells and chips were warm and crispy. We were waited on by Violet. She was sweet and came by our table to see if we needed anything else. Normally, you would not expect good food and customer service at a fast food restaurant. This place stands out. Haven't eaten here in a while but it used to be one of our go to takeout places. Was really disappointed. They have stopped using chicken breast and replaced it with chicken thighs. They weren't even cut up that well so there were just a couple big half cut up chucks of fatty meat in it. The taste and texture were different with the different meat. I used to get a salad but that wasn't an option on the delivery menu anymore, nor were there any extra sauces or dressings listed. The only sauces were mild salsa and spicy salsa. Overall was very disappointed. Between the meat substitution and the lack of sauces and dressings it's not even as good as chipotle anymore. We will probably not go back to diablos. read more

Went to college in Aiken, so I was happy to learn that Diablos came to Lexington. Service here especially is always awesome, a lot of ingredients to choose from that are fresher and better quality than moes, chipotle or salsaritas. 5/5 best Tex Mex Subway there is in the greater Columbia area. read more

If any of you have ever read any of my reviews, I'll give you 2 stars just because I try to see a silver lining. Lately my hubs and I have not been able to go for grub. I started using Grubhub. Grubhub is great! Diablo's however it NOT! Never ordered from them before. Hubs and I got quesadillas with one chicken one with steak. U click on the toppings the pay EXTRA $2 for chicken $3 for steak. Well no proteins showed on either one. The salsa and peach harbanero sauce I requested on the side. Not there. 2 huge bags of greasy chips arrived with order. Nothing to dip them in, except maybe you could have used the greasy innards of the inedible quesadillas that fell out when trying to pick up! When ordering delivery I assume there's going to be some slight chilling of food. I called the restaurant directly to see why my quesadillas had no proteins. No answer from girl that answered the phone. She stated I could come up there and get a free quesadilla. I told her "if I were able to come up there I WOULD NOT have ordered delivery!"She said "oh, you can get a free small queso for your chips!" Again. I can not come there! Short of it is, no lunch from Mel! I'm going to have the bank reverse the whole transaction. Now, I feel like charging them for the Imodium I'm having to use! This was my first time at Diablos since they moved. They have the same great service, good food, and cleanliness. I loved seeing that team work together to fulfill orders quickly . Unfortunately I did get any pictures but the food was delicious. I got my usual chicken nachos. We also ordered a steak quesadilla and junior chicken quesadilla. Their queso is AMAZING... honestly the best one I've tasted at a restaurant ! Tip: Whatever you order, add the spicy sour cream! read more

Decided to try this place out...and I wasn't disappointed. Food had nice flavor and portions were great size too. I had the 3 tacos, which came with chips. The staff was very friendly and were being safe with masks and all. I will certainly come back to eat here again. read more

Pretty dang good. We used to go here all the time in grad school because it's a good place to take a decent sized group. I like the chicken quesadilla and the burrito which they will load up if you ask. They are often short staffed so we have learned not to go here too often in a pinch, but the food is consistently good. No drive through, but def worth the stop. read more

We all got something different ((3 taco meal, burrito, taco salad and nachos).This was our first time so we basically tried most everything on the menu with the variety of food that we ordered. The pico is super fresh, the chipotle ranch is different than most but very good, the pork was the best meat on the menu. The fresh salsas from the little bar are all good!! Service was great and fast. You order the food from a bar area, they build your meal as you move along the bar telling them what you like then pay and make your drink as you find a table! Good food (especially the chicken)! The indoor space is very cool and southwestern. But it was unfortunately dirty when I dined there. Every table was dirty I needed to wipe one myself to sit down. They have charging stations at the booths but they too sadly needed a very good wipe down. There were many employees in the store I'm not sure why one of them couldn't be wiping down the tables chairs and windows...a quick sweep of the floors thru the day too would go along way and also the credit card reader needs a good wipe down. Will likely do take out next time and give the cleaning sitch some time to work itself out. read more

This place is a real step up from your typical fast casual tex-mex. They actually cook the meat over wood which gives it a great flavor. The people who run it are really friendly and keep the place very clean. I really love to get a burrito here at least once a week. They also have some unique drink options from Jones Soda. read more

If you're ever thinking, "man chipotle sounds good right now", STOP and CHANGE your mind and go here instead!! It is the same concept as chipotle (build your own burrito/burrito bowl/ taco/ Salad/ nachos/ quesadilla), but better in that the I ingredients tasted very fresh and very food portions. So, the rice and beans were just bland and sad, for starters. The bits of chicken had a heavy charcoal taste, but def not seasoned in any type of southwestern way..and they were tiny little bits. Hardly any corn salsa to get a good taste, but there was an ass load of cilantro on top. They go hard on the toppings for burrito bowls, so I def got my monies worth of guacamole, but it wasn't great, def nothing to talk about. Had a great experience here this morning. The staff was kind and patient and the food was excellent. I don't think I've ever seen my toddler eat anything as fast as she destroyed the quesadilla. I got a burrito bowl and my wife got nachos and both were excellent with great flavor. Much better than the other two Tex-mex style places in town. A great addition to Lexington! read more

Ordered online and selected curbside pickup. After waiting 10 minutes past my order time finally I went inside to pick up my order that had been sitting there. They said they don't do curbside pickup even though the website let me select curbside pickup and asked me to provide the make and model of my car. Disappointing since I was trying to not go inside. Food was good and reasonably priced, but cold since it had been sitting there while I sat in my car waiting for it. read more

We were so happy to see a new restaurant open up close to home and could not wait to get there. After a busy day, we stopped in late tonight close to closing and got our order to go. The place is excellent! Clean place, professional and friendly workers. They all went out of there way and the food is excellent, fresh, tasty and big portions.
