You can absolutely taste the difference. The restaurant is small with limited seating (first come, first served), with seating along the windows and down the side, and a couple of outdoor tables. You order at the counter, grab your number, and then find a seat. Even though it's a casual, fast-service restaurant, the hospitality was anything but ordinary. We were greeted the moment we walked in by the sweetest older gentleman whose genuine Southern hospitality made us feel so welcome. He even stopped by to chat with us during our meal, making the whole experience feel warm and personal. The food was outstanding! My burger was cooked perfectly....juicy, flavorful, and served on one of the best hamburger buns I've ever had. It was incredibly soft but somehow never got soggy or fell apart, even with all the cheese and sauce. They offer about 10 different flavor options for burgers. They even offer grilled chicken sandwiches and Open face burgers. I ordered the Sawyer Burger ($13.95), topped with chili garlic glazed pork belly, Asian slaw, and crispy onion straws. It was absolutely delicious and well worth the price considering the quality and generous portion. The fries deserve their own review! So many burger places treat fries as an afterthought, but not here. The portions are huge and perfectly seasoned. I chose the Buffalo Blue Cheese fries, and they were packed with flavor. I wish I'd had room to try the Parmesan fries, which sounded like a customer favorite. Even the tiny bathroom was charming, covered in funny and quirky signs that made me smile. I went with the double bacon burger and fries, which was a $0.99 upsell from the house chips that comes with the burger. Two big thick patties with cheese and bacon. Pretty good burger. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. As for the ambience, good luck having a conversation. The place is open and loud. The actual restaurant is fairly small but it's part of a larger area. Think of a food court in a mall. Very hard to have a conversation due to all the noise. And people wondering in and sitting down without checking in, taking wait staff away from their other tables. Overall, I wasn't impressed. But, like I said, the area prom had a lot more people out than a normal Friday night, so I will return again for another meal.

Here is what I have noticed, no matter the restaurant, the fresher the sandwich, the better. Also, to keep it simple, I get whatever each restaurant presents as their standard - for example, CFA standard is not their deluxe, it is just bun, chicken, pickles. At WB, it is potato bun, chicken, lettuce, tomato, and, Whatasauce. I'll say cleanlinesss and service are both very good here. I didn't think they could ever have gotten all the old KFC grease off of that floor during renovations, but they did. It's very neat lines, simple color scheme, and crisp clean. The sandwich. You are going to immediately have a mental image in your head when I say the contrast between the glossed up picture of the food compared to the reality of the food in appearance. Flat, almost squished a bit. One leaf of limper lettuce, thin sliced tomato, and Whatasauce. Whatasauce was the first thing that hit my flavor profile. It tasted like ketchup on a hot dog. Which is a no-no anyway. But it was a ketchup forward flavor with savory notes and too sweet. Right behind that I got the thin fried chicken filet, which was more breading than chicken around the edges of the filet. Plus, it was slightly overdone and slightly tough. The good news is that I had a rewards coupon, unbeknownst to me until time of order, and it was free with the purchase of a medium drink and fries, somewhere between $5-$6. The fries are thinner style pencil fries. Medium is more than enough. Crispy and they were good. I love the Whataburger giant cup and they make very good iced tea - good enough to be a deciding factor for where to go for lunch. But this sandwich left so much on the table in execution. I imagine from their test kitchen version to the version served - overdone, over breaded, over sauced, and flat, there would be disappointment from the test kitchen guys. WB matches CFA in cleanliness and service. CFA sandwiches have always been very "chicken forward", thicker chicken portion, retains juiciness, simple (pickles only, add your own sauce) and frankly, easier to eat while traveling/driving. Sure, you should pay attention to the road, but just observe alll the drive through business at any chicken sandwich venue and you KNOW they're out there eating and driving. There is a good marketing gimmick- easiest fast food to eat and drive. Hint, it doesn't come with lots of Whatasauce, whatever it may be.

The Pepitos were huge and there was about 6 different types. 2 of my coworkers and I decided to try the pepitos and Endra decided to get the big momma burger. All of our meals had plenty of food. My oblesico pepitos was full of steak, chicken bacon and cheese. It seemed to be missing some flavor and sauce. It was just meat and cheese. For a side I got loaded fries with cheese sauce and bacon bits. The cheese tasted like it came out of a can and the bacon was more like bacon bits than real bacon. I ate the contents of the pepitos with a fork and skipped the bread. They had an interesting menu. I wish I would have reviewed the Yelp reviews before deciding on the pepitos. Thanks!
