If I had to compare them to anyone it would be 5 Guys whose burgers are so much better. Overall we had expected a higher level of product based on word of mouth, what we got was mediocre at best. We almost never go to any of the other fast food burger restaurants and looks like we'll be adding this to our list of those to avoid. Mostly fried food and poorly prepared burgers. It's a newly opened place so they still have kinks to work out. Super busy, long line for drive thru but it went relatively quickly. The person who took our order mumbled quite badly to where numerous times nobody in the car knew what they said. Also there were long awkward pauses where we weren't sure if they were ready for the next order or if they were even still there. You can get a "tray" with a main, 2 sides, and a drink. The sides are small so the 2 sides are like the quantity of 1 side at other places but i appreciate the variety you can have. Burgers were ok. It legit tastes like what you would make in your own grill. Good for if it's too cold to grill yourself or you just don't feel like it. I'm interested to go back after they've settled in for another try. read more

My family and I love this place. The shakes are delicious and thick and the food is great as well. You can't beat the value and the amount of choices you have for entrees and sides. First time trying cook out not from around town so decided to give it a try ! Drive thur had a pretty long line I waited pretty cool how you get two sides ! Combos comes with a large drink the tea was supper good ! Only problem I had was that when We gave the young lady my card she ended up not giving it back gave us the drinks first and food . I realized till I got home that my card was missing , Definitely recommended double checking for your card before you leave . Love how affordable the food is and how yummy it is too! For $7 you can get a main course and 2 sides plus a soda! The food really taste like a cookout too! Loved how fast they were able to serve the food. I think I took longer ordering my food from all the choices they had. Love that they have so many shakes to choose from. Must try if you haven't! We just stopped at this cookout for the first time even though I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews. Our hamburgers were probably the best hamburgers we've eaten in the last year or two. The onion rings and fries were hot and fresh and the peanut butter milkshake we ordered was delicious. Both the staff member who took my order and the staff member that checked us out were very polite. The line had five or six cars in it but moved extremely fast. I would highly recommend that you give this fast food restaurant to try if you haven't already! We will be back! read more

Don't waste your time. We used the drive thru and we got someone who didn't speak very good English. We ordered two cheddar burgers. Mine was very overcooked, hers was very undercooked. The bun was so damp and greasy it wouldn't hold together. There was more cheese than burger. There also was no seasoning at all and was very tasteless, The bacon is deep fried and you get a little piece that looks like it was wrapped around a curling iron. It fell right out of the burger. The iced tea is so weak it is barely colored. Fires and onion rings are just okay. With Wendy's and Five Guys right down the street we hope to never return. Adios. read more

I ordered two cheese quesadillas along with a tray. Instead I got two chicken quesadillas and a milkshake that tasted SOUR. The only thing they got right was the tray. Had to go inside three separate times to finally get a cheese quesadilla because they kept giving me chicken. Really good for something quick and don't feel like spending a lot of money. Beware though if you have a fragile stomach. Food can be very greasy and heavy. It's what you pay for. Overall good fast food though and totally recommend the chick sandwiches and cheese curds. read more

Burger was disgusting to say the least, soggy, and tasted like liquid smoke, onion rings were poor quality, don't waste your money!

It's disappointing to see so many negative reviews. I'll agree that five guys had a better burger but this is still a great place for burgers and chicken sandwiches. The cajun seasoning makes the chicken tenders and nuggets even better. While I'm not sure why there is no dine-in seating, I don't think they should be rated poorly due to being take-out only. I usually order inside and every single time my order has been exactly right and they have always been very friendly and helpful. The cookout sauce is great and they happy to provide you with all that you request, which is something some places do not do. They should get added to doordash since they do not have any dine-in seating, this may increase profits. Every time I have gone, the drive-thru lines look long but go by quickly. When I go inside to order, it only takes a few minutes to receive my order. I highly recommend giving Cookout a try. read more
