This was not it. There's only one lobster option posted on the board. I asked if it was cold or hot and I was told it was cold. It was hot. When I got it home and took it out of the microwave safe container I noticed what appeared to be a glaze. The roll was covered in some type of lemon glaze which was super sweet. Not Walmart I expected. It was like having a dessert with lobster and scallions. She asked me if I wanted the scallions when she should have asked if I wanted the glaze. I'm disappointed. Luckily, since this was in the mall I had grabbed some fries while I was waiting the 10-15 mins. I finished it because I spent almost $13 on this experience. It was not a good food day.

I've been to the original location in Rahway multiple times and it was absolutely the BEST, i used to order from there multiple times during the week. To see and taste this is SO disappointing. Hands down one of the worst lobster rolls I've ever had in my life. If they were going to open an express location they needed to make sure it was going to meet expectations of their original location. This is NOT it.

Horrible bread was hard as a rock, the sauce tasted spoiled waste of money. Disappointing I was really looking forward to it.

So sad. I really wanted to love this place and had great expectations but they fell very short. I found myself coming up with justification after justification for this experience. First, no other customers were at the counter when we arrived; however, it still took the two employees a while to acknowledge us. My hubster and I ordered our food which was pricey but we never mind paying for good food. For the price, we just knew this food would hit the spot. The highlights of my meal: the fries (see pic of uneaten side of fries in the container) had great flavor and the raspberry lemonade was very tasty; however it came in a very small ice filled cup with no refills. The bread of the lobster roll was a win. The shrimp tasted like they were coated in bentonite clay. So sad to say that we won't be returning to this establishment. We deeply regretted our decision to eat here instead of at chick fil a across the food court.

We had Brunch at "The One", the Rooftop at Tommy's and the overall setting was so beautiful. Since it was the height of summer, it was less crowded, so we were able to get seated at the sofa lounge which was more comfortable. Menu (food) is little different at the rooftop when compared to their regular Menu, but it still had a good selection. We ordered different Appetizers and Cocktails, everything tasted great. Staff are very accommodating, and the service was quick. Definitely recommend

So how did I wind up back here? Bit of a story but if you read my first review you'll see how I met a friend that I met online 13 years ago for the first time and this was the place we went for dinner after an event. Well, now a year later, her and I were traveling together north to Parsippany and this was the closest restaurant that looked appealing. It was not until we enter the parking lot I said out loud, this is where we had our first dinner. Anyways, enough of that love story. I really want to give this two stars for service but the food really pushed it over the top. So all in all I will keep it as a four star review. I want to address the food first, I had the short rib tacos, and my partner had eggplant caprice flatbread. I had a bite of hers which I absolutely enjoyed, eggplant had a nice crisp to it which really made it enjoyable. The short rib tacos... holy crap! Mind blown. I did not expect such great flavor in such a small bite. Everything about the tacos packed a punch. I would much rather have had six tacos and no chips and salsa. As for the service, this is where I got frustrated and my cash tip hopefully reconcile with my server. We dined on the rooftop which was completely empty minus a couple at the bar. We seated and ordered our beverages. I did not get my lime with my lemon water. After we ordered our meals, and received them, a server never came back to check in with us. I wasn't a big fan of her attitud either. It started to get busy I noticed that the host kept seating everyone around us when there was an entire floor to sit people at. Not sure if they're trying to keep people in one specific area but for how slow it was they certainly could've given everyone more privacy. I'm pretty sure the couple that was seated next to us got up and left for that reason. Cannot say I will not be back but who knows when I'll be traveling through again.

I am still disappointed by the lack of response from the corporate office on this matter, but the Edison location was extremely helpful in resolving my issue. Initial review: My wife and I have been going to True Food Kitchen for a while now, and really enjoy their healthy food options, but their recent lack of customer service is very disappointing. We recently purchased a gift card for True Food Kitchen but when we had problems with it, the local restaurant wasn't able to do anything. We reached out to the company they parner with for the gift cards, who told us to reach out to corporate. I left two voicemails with True Food corporate with no response, in addition to leaving email with no response either. I would appreciate it even if they couldn't do anything that they would at least get back to us and let us know that, but nothing. I commend True Food for offering such healthy eating options for people but without good customer service, I can't see it really lasting for long.

NOTE: Be very careful about using any dining credits from Open Table here. I saved up points for like a year and got a measly $16. When deciding on which restaurant to choose for Brunch today, we noticed True Food was in the Open Table network, so I would be able to use the credit there. When we arrived the place was pretty empty. Strange for the time of day. Bad sign #1. They walked us to a large table. The table was soaking wet and the hostess laid our paper menus on the puddle of water, never acknowledging the fact that the table was wet. Bad sign #2. I used my napkin to dry off the table and asked the waiter for another. He was very cordial. It was noon on a Saturday, so we assumed they would provide us with the Brunch menu (since that is why we came) and we had to ask for it - a measly 4 items on this menu, so options were few. Bad sign #3. Our server and the taste of the food were the only positive things about this trip. At the end of the meal, I followed the Open table directions and clicked on redeem in front of the waiter. It seems a Mastercard number pops up and since the server nor the manager knew how to do the dining credit, she said it was declined and could give me a 10% discount. Our meal was only $30, maki g that like $3 I said that I had to use the dining credit here since I booked our reservation which is tied to the credit and I would lose the dining credit. The manager was very demeaning and I reminded her that I can't use this credit anywhere else and that the whole reason for choosing this restaurant today was because of the Open Table credit. She then asked me to stop yelling at her. I, at no time in this conversation, raised my voice. I just stated the fact that I will lose $16 if they don't use it here. She said I could use it elsewhere and I reiterated that was not true and asked if she could contact open table to see why it won't go through. She said no because they are a third party and it is not their responsibility. After a while back and forth on this, she then said, I told you I would take $16 off the bill so you can use that elsewhere. When I reminded her that she said only 10% before she again said to stop yelling at me and I am just trying to make you happy. My husband said, does she look happy? After that she basically kicked us out of the restaurant. I will never return to this location ever again after being treated this way, like I was some criminal trying to get over them over a lousy $16. Now I can see why, on Sunday during Brunch time, the place was practically empty. Go to Original Pancake House just up the street if you want great food and service. There will be a wait but it is worth it!

After waiting at least 15 min for her to show up from the back, I was able to ask her to change my drink order. The food here is FABULOUS. We got the housemade Irish soda bread and it was amazing. Hubby got the shepherd's pie and it was delicious. I got the lamb chops over asparagus and mashed potatoes and it was FANTASTIC ! I don't know if our waitress was new or what, but our meals were delivered without silverware. We waited several minutes, then finally flagged down another waitress so that we could eat ! If it wasn't for the poor service, this place could easily be 5 stars due to the fabulous food. Thankfully we got out of there before the live music started, loud music is not our vibe. At the very end of the meal, somehow my original drink order made an appearance (that's what I was afraid of, that she didn't cancel the order). The folks at the table next to us ordered the exact same cocktail, so when the bar tried to give it to us, the waitress told them to give it to the table next to us instead. Geez, we were already paying for our meal at the time. Lol The manager did come out and the end of the meal to ask how things were. I did mention I thought our waitress might be new. I didn't get an answer as to if she was, but I posed it more as a statement than a question.

I recently tried the chef's 8-course tasting menu, and it was perfectly paced--the small plates are proportionately sized so you leave feeling satisfied rather than overwhelmed. Every dish is a standout with deep, "stacked" flavors; even the ingredients I was skeptical about ended up being favorites. Nothing needed a drop of extra seasoning. The service sets a warm, welcoming tone from the start. We were offered Oshibori (Japanese warm towelettes) to refresh our hands, and getting a fresh set of utensils with every course was a high-end touch I really appreciated. Menu Highlights: Taro Fritter: A sweet-textured appetizer inspired by Chinese desserts, topped with caviar and soy-pickled beets. It was a beautiful way to awaken the palate. Mackerel Crudo: As someone who isn't usually a fan of raw dishes, I was surprised by how much I loved this. It's light, perfectly acidic, and balanced with plum, ponzu, and apple. Grilled Sunchoke: This was "rustic elegance" in a bowl. The smell alone is incredible, and the combination of ginger crab and shellfish butter is pure comfort. Smoked Duck: Topped with black winter truffle and caramelized onions in a gochujang sauce--absolutely excellent cook and presentation. Braised Beef Cheek: So tender you can skip the knife and just use your fork. Since I forgot to BYOB, I tried their house-made Luck & Love hibiscus drink. It's hands-down the best hibiscus tea I've ever had--I actually tried to buy one to-go, but they only make enough for dine-in guests! It's a fantastic spot to bring friends or loved ones, though I'd recommend arriving early. The parking lot is extremely tight, so you might need to look for space in the lot next door.

A few logistical tips: while there is street parking, a public lot is conveniently located right across the street. The dining room is quite intimate with only about ten tables, and since they don't seem to take reservations, I recommend arriving early or being prepared for a wait. If you don't want to wait, they do offer takeout! Another suggestion is to browse their menu online before you arrive, the selection is extensive! We showed up without a game plan and needed several minutes just to decide because there were so many tempting choices! Luckily, our waiter was incredibly patient and helpful, answering every question we had. Once we decided, the real fun began. Every single item, and I'm not exaggerating, was phenomenal! We started with the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was sweet and perfectly portioned, along with a vanilla latte and a cappuccino. Both were classic, rich, and creamy. For the main course, we chose the "Chill + Qill It" Chilaquiles, which featured traditional corn tortillas topped with cotija cheese, avocado, pink sour cream, eggs, and your choice of protein. We also tried the Parkside Classic Sliders; the chicken was exceptionally crispy yet tender and juicy, served with eggs on a brioche bun. We opted to upgrade to the truffle fries, which were delicious! Although our sliders accidentally came with pickles, the staff was so kind and immediately offered to remake the dish or swap out the bun. Finally, we had the Grilled Chicken Egg Ranchero. It was like a breakfast version of nachos, loaded with beans, peppers, onions, an egg, those same crispy tortillas, and more of that signature pink cream! We couldn't leave without satisfying our sweet tooth, so we finished with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It tasted exactly like a fresh cinnamon roll, the glaze was incredible, and the bread was perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining fluffy inside. I honestly cannot wait to go back and work my way through the rest of the kitchen's creations. This restaurant is a absolute must-visit for their unique combinations and superb flavors!
