I adopted a rabbit..found a few flees not many. She was pregnant surprise!!! Anyhow babies looked great then about six weeks I noticed severe itching hair loss. At night after cleaning their enclosures I began to itch like crazy. Like something from a Syfy movie. I began to read everything I could about rabbits and zoonume decrease that humans could get. WOW I was surprised!!! I figured I probably had walking dander mites. They showed all the signs. It was horrible for me not to scratch for the secondary infections is the worse. Now I truly know what it's like for animals to have fleas or mites!! Long story short..brought one baby and the mother. Mother was supposably treated with revaluation and baby wasn't. Skin scrape came up negative. Often their is a falls negative if eggs haven't hatched again!! They treated me as if I were nuts. Not listening to me at all. Financial I couldn't afford all the rabbits and stayed I need a weight on the baby and the mother so I could treat them myself..more cost affective and I've done research hrs of feeding a speeking to rabbit savy people and I. Line vets. I never got the weights kinda brushed that off.. I was disgusted tired and well believe me...this takes the cake folks,,!!! Ready for this one??? LMAO...I had to I just had to ask the veteraria assistant..or ofgice manager cuz ..the introduction was so bad...I really had no clue who was who...so hear we got...so I qas reafing tabbits can get mite from hay. The facility is clean, the staff is always friendly, & the doctors are as well! They send a post card as a reminder when your pet is due for shots, renewing medications, etc, which is helpful as I can't keep all that stuff straight. My one complaint is they do seem to be a tad pricey, but we'll still come here, it's worth it. Highly recommend!

Previous vet never mentioned getting any of these shots AGAIN. Got to the appointment (cat's ears are inflamed and red). You'd think they check that, nope. Held her a bit and started to try to sell me on shampoos and steroids (cat has had 3 steroid procedures in the past. Not destroying her liver and then coming back in 2 weeks to throw more proverbial shit against the wall. Nope. Its the ears, which is what the appointment was made for. Finally checked the ears. Found black gunk..hey what do you know?!? Ear infection. As suspected. Over charged me on meds that can be bought on Chewy for 20% less. Also asked for a nail trimming for this appointment when I called. Nails didn't get trimmed. Also almost overcharged me for the visit (initial visit is "free"). After running my card they then realized the mistake, which they promptly corrected. It's just incredibly frustrating to walk into these places, after already sharing all available previous medical records going into it. And clearly being tried to get taken to the cleaners, before any exam has started. I told you what was going on. I supplied all history, and they still wanna start from scratch, throw shit against the wall, and hope your sucker-ass will come back in 2 weeks so they can ring you up again. Fuck that.

Since they said nothing, I assumed he had a bath but in a few days his hair starting falling out until he had large areas of only red skin and it turned out while in Dr Kane's care, he had been involved in a chemical spill which both she and her staff kept quiet. My kitten also was burned inside his mouth and tongue so eating was very difficult as i was feeding with a suringe, watering his canned food. Took him to a new vet in Ridge and she took photos and sent them to Dr Kane, showing her the damage which occured while he was under her care. She only said she was unaware it was that bad. What else did she think a chemical spill would do to a kitten? Dr Sawyer in Ridge had Dr Kane pay the billl as my kitten remained under Dr Sawyers' care several weeks until he was able to come home. What vet is aware a patient has chemicals spill all over the animal and does nothing and more, tries to hide it from the owner but willingly takes payment? (which she only returned once Dr Sawyer from Rindge NH took over his emergency care) I do not reccomend Dr Kane in any way but if you really love your pet, highly suggest taking your pet to Dr Sawyer in Rindge NH. If my kitten had not been seen by Dr Sawyer, he would have died.

For that reason he's moderately priced but he's got the experience and knowledge enough to know the real facts... not give you a million useless medications... shoot sometimes he just recommends lifestyle changes instead of pills when he could easily have given my dogs tons more drugs. I have 4 pooches - I trust all of them to BAH. All of them have ailments, allergies, aging issues and previous medical mysteries I am still figuring out as they are rescues with little to no record of such. He gives you the fair answer - not the ones you want to hear so you'll whip out the checkbook. He gives each dog undivided attention and care should you have multiple pets. Easy to get him on the phone - even when he is with a client, he answers! That may be annoying for some - but go in with the understanding he does Most if not all himself! He still writes notes/records/scrips literally BY HAND. No automation other than a credit card processing machine, fax machine and a tiny little radio from 1986 that cranks out the tunes in the hazy background.Good with animals for sure with the experience to boot. He helped both of my bigger dogs with skin issues... no harsh steroids needed. Gave my older pup a good antibiotic instead of costly heart/chest exams that could have been upwards of $2000. Everything he recommended for my dogs has worked as long as I go follow the regimen. Now my dogs all know the place they are actually pretty comfortable there. I take them there for all of their vaccinations and yearly check ups without hesitation. He always asks me to call and let him know how they are doing and he even adjusts the meds dosage if its working to reduce their intake.. I love it. Worth the ride if its not an emergency and its not too far for you to get out here and get the medical attention your animal deserves!

Three years ago I gave this place a five star rating. I have since deleted it…read more On Sept. 13th we had a medical emergency with our cat Axl. He dropped to the floor, became paralyzed in the back end and was crying out in pain. It was close to opening time so we were able to get him to SFVH immediately. Upon our arrival we had to wait as he was crying out in pain. We stayed calm and waited until Dr. Broady finished up with a client. We should have been taken right in. Everyone heard our cat crying. He was in a lot of pain. We had gotten the diagnosis he had a stroke. Dr. Broady kept talking to us as our cat was still crying out in pain and then he started panting and the vet tech had to say "Doc what are we going to do for Axl." Like let's get going! He needed to see a Cardiologist so about a week or so later he saw one at SFVH. We were told we'd get to speak with the Cardiologist. That never happened. I had also asked if I could be with our cat as I was worried he'd be scared without me being with him after all he'd been through. I was told no as it was a small room and there wasn't enough room for another person. I was told we would be sent the report by Thursday. It was a bit hectic there and I had questions but I figured I'd ask at a later time. Two days later I received a call in the morning from Dr. Broady asking how Axl was and then he proceeded to tell me that wasn't the reason why he was calling and he started yelling at me and questioning me about something I had nothing to do with and had no knowledge of! After he had his tantrum he hung up on me! I had not received Axl's echo report so on Sunday the 29th I sent an email asking for the report if they had it and I asked some other questions I had regarding Axl's care. On Monday, just before closing I received the report with a letter from Dr. Broady that due to my interactions and behavior with his staff over the last few weeks he would no longer be treating our cats. WHAT?! I asked for specifics as to what he was referring to because I had no clue what caused him to say that. I never got an answer. He left us hanging with a cat that has CHF and a report we don't understand and have questions that never did get answered and more questions after seeing the report. What kind of vet acts like he did and leaves a client with a cat that has CHF hanging with no medical care? He should be ashamed of himself! After this all took place I got to thinking about things. There has never been more dental cleanings and extractions done with our cats since we started going there. Were they really necessary? I'm beginning to think not! Also, how can there be one vet and you're open only four days a week from 8-5 take on new clients all the time or take in "emergencies" from a non client? Perhaps he is loosing patients? Either they leave due to his attitude or he drops them at will when he gets a bug up his butt! Beware of this so called vet with his Jekyll and Hyde attitude. And yes, a complaint has been sent to the MA state licensing board regarding his actions.
