Reasonably flavorful especially when heated up. Staff is friendly and told me about free cookie by downloading app. Another reviewer mentioned something about the cookie being too crumbly. I don't think that would bother me personally. Does that mean that they have to use more butter to keep the cookie together? Probably. I can understand paying a premium price for a cookie and then expecting it to be a certain way unless stated beforehand before too. For me, I think flavor would trump the texture except that I wouldn't want to be eating a rock solid cookie. Rock solid cookie is for an uber cheap TooGoodToGo that you share with another Yelper that needs to write more! (Lol) I didn't want to download another app for a free cookie but it was nice of them to mention. They told me they use French chocolate whereas Insomnia implied does not. I think I like the cookie flavors here more than Insomnia personally. read more

stopped by after dinner for a sweet treat, this is a small but solid cookie spot! my boyfriend and i shared the cinnamon sugar cookie, which was one of the rotating cookie flavors for november. the cookie was nice and crispy, and the frosting was sweet and decadent. the cookie was definitely more on the expensive side, but we enjoyed the bite. very shareable as the cookie is a little too sweet. the shop itself is very small and cozy, i liked that they had a display of their flavors at the register. service was good, but the worker looked miserable. perhaps because it was past 10pm on a wednesday... solid for a late night treat, this spot is open until 11pm! read more

What i like about this cookie store is that they have a display of each cookie to help people pick what they want. Mississippi mud pie is my favorite. Fudgy with a small dollop of chocolate pudding in the middle. Waffle cookie tasted more like a blondie. S'mores was ok, the middle tasted like cookie dough. It's a bit pricey in my opinion, about $5 each. I agree with another reviewer that it's more like a brownie than a cookie. Each cookie is huge and tends to fall apart. read more

Overall, a meh experience from cookie to service. When inquiring about the cookies on offer that day, we were told "the flavors rotate and this is only day 2, so we don't know: read the screen." Note Blueprint Cookies' motto... We had to ask whether the cookies in a dish in front of the cash register were samples--there was no signage indicating it nor did staff offer them to us to taste the flavors that we'd just inquired after. Overall, the cookies were pricey (more than $5.00/cookie) and dry (they simply crumble). The sugar cookie with sprinkles simply tasted of sugar. The Thicc Chocolate flavor was nicer--like a Thin Mint. As other reviewers have said, for $5.00, head to NYC and get a Levain Bakery cookie, or support local by heading across the street to Bakeshop on 20th or even Insomnia Cookies! read more

Nice cookie shop I stumbled on when I visited Bakeshop across the street. The service was quick and they have a few displays of the cookies right in the front. The first bite of the lemon blueberry was great but as I kept eating, I just got disappointed. The chocolate chip was good all the way through. I've only been twice and they're actually really good cookies compared to some of the other bake shops like crumbl like they have really good ideas but blueprint has the finesse to create that idea into a really good cookie. Some of them I wouldn't get again but I do wish some would stay on the menu permanently. Snickerdoodle is really good and the cookie butter one and the one with the teddy graham on it & Oreo one those are just the ones I can remember but the ones I wasn't a huge fan of like the molten lava, it might be your thing. Give it a try. The minis are always killer plus the OG. Fire cookies overall keep baking love it !! read more

Overall this is a decent cookie place in Philadelphia. We ordered delivery as a late night snack. Prices are more on the expensive side, being close to $6 per cookie (the cookies are about 1.5x the size of a normal takeout cookie). The Oreo rice cookie was pretty solid but nothing amazing. It had a good taste, but the texture was crumbly and a little dry on the outside, although the rice krispy interior was gooey. The service and delivery was quick on a Friday night. read more

I really, really wanted to like this. This place has so much going for it. Good customer service, the whole business model looks great, it convinces you to buy a cookie, which with tip is about seven dollars . The box which tells where the money goes and all that is great. The problem is the product doesn't live up to the marketing. It's basically a cookie about the size of your palm. It's kind of puffed up, but the inside is sort of like uncooked cookie dough. It's meant to be that way I think but I wanted a cookie. I wanted a cookie that was going to knock my socks off and lift me up in the afternoon on a sad day. This just tasted like somebody dumped a whole bunch of dark cocoa powder and whipped it up without cooking it. Cooked the outside of a cookie and left the rest of it raw. Now mind you it was a good raw type of cookie dough. It was whipped well and I'm sure it's not going to hurt anybody. But would I ever return to try another flavor? No way I just can't believe I got duped into buying a, with tip, a nearly seven dollar cookie. Sorry, I loved the whole premise of why, etc. etc. but it did not make me happy at all and I just can't get this really awful dark chocolate gritty taste out of my mouth. You would literally be better off going to Walmart bakery section. First time I had these(few months ago), they were really good. This time, 1/25/25, everything was loaded with sugar and skimped on every other ingredient. The Victory Chip cookie had 2 chocolate chips in it, the oreo jam cookie had zero white chips. Everything was over-baked and dry. The red velvet (red zone rush #15) was literally bleeding out artificial looking red-40 dye all in to the cream cheese filling. The vegan cinnamon bun cookie tasted of unbaked flour and had no taste of brown sugar. Quality went down massively. read more

I liked the storefront, the bright interior and the detailed cookie pictures. Having said that, I thought the cookie was below average. I had the Raspberry Cobbler. The cookie was not very sweet. The little bit of raspberry filling was close to tasteless. The cookie was over $5 so I had high expectations. I'll stick to Levain Bakery in NYC. You get 10x the cookie for $5 and they are awesome! Even Insomnia is a better buy. read more

I was on a trip to Philly and I saw they opened a Blueprint Cookies there I was super excited to try it. The chocolate chip cookie was incredible. Soft in the middle with a crunchy exterior and the salt on top just brought it to another level maybe the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had in my life. Also, the team was super friendly, they warmed up my cookie and cut it into pieces to make it easier for me to eat. They really seem like they were enjoying their job. It's also a really cute shop. There's no seats but they give you the cookies and these really nice boxes that look like a Blueprint. The boxes have some really cool information about how much the cookie costs and how much money they make the transparency of this brand is something I've haven't seen for many places. Not sure why this place has some bad reviews, Ive been there a few times and its always been great. I get the gluten free cookies and they are impressive. My family gets the regular and they have always liked them too. All the staff so far have been very friendly. The cookies are always better than how they look sitting out by the cashier. I would 100% suggest having them warmed up, unless you are eating them later then there are instructions on the box to warm it up at home. read more

I ordered a multi pack and got hazelnut chocolate crunch, key lime chai, matcha mousse, and strawberry shortcake. They were actually out of the strawberry shortcake so the business owner contacted me for a substitute flavor. I chose the tiramisu instead. The desserts were delicious, she even threw in a pinacolada crumble freebie and an extra tiramisu. The flavors were good although some could be a little stronger (pina colada and key lime chai). I really enjoyed the crusts which tasted like some combination of dates and nuts. My favorite was the hazelnut and the tiramisu Would definitely order from again, packaging was nice and owner was easy to communicate with and the service was great.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to try the chicken at Bud and Marilyn's, but better late than never! They serve a LARGE 1/2 chicken. I started with the thigh. I was smitten by the first bite. I was told the chicken is soaked in a buttermilk brine for 24-48 hours - dipped in a buttermilk dredge - covered with their 'secret recipe' seasoned flour - and fried in a 'pressure fryer' that cooks the chicken in 12 minutes. It was perfectly fried - so crispy - the texture and seasoning of the exterior coating was incredible. The chicken was tender and juicy - the thigh was the juiciest - I didn't get to try the drumstick as I was too full! I had the thigh and 1/2 the breast. The breast is my favorite and I savored each large delicious piece I broke apart. It's important to pick up the chicken and eat it by hand - I did cut mine in half for a picture - but didn't use a fork to eat it - you lose the 'panache'of the meal. I didn't use the hot sauce served with the chicken - I brought my own bottle of honey and poured it over the chicken and biscuits. It was heavenly! Which brings me to the Biscuits! The dish comes with 2 large fluffy buttermilk biscuits - they were golden brown on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside! They had such a rich, buttery flavor. I took several pieces of chicken and layered them on pieces of biscuit, drizzled with honey! It was truly a 5 star fried chicken and biscuit dinner!

Best cookies in Philly. Excellent customer service. So worth the calories. I highly recommend the cannoli cookie and the brownie sundae cookie but the classic chocolate chip is my absolute favorite with brown sugar, sea salt and chocolate chips with a big fudgy chocolate center. I walked right up and ordered - you can look through the window at the pastries - and order which ones you would like. I immediately noticed these 'large' cakes (large compared to the pastries) and asked what they were - Pound Cakes - Lemon and Lavender. I opted for the Lavender. This was a 'simple' cake - a little icing on the top, and a very subtle lavender taste. It was moist and rich, but not too dense - perfect texture. It was a very enjoyable piece of cake. I may try the Lemon Pound cake next time. Next, was the Plum Almond Tarte - it looked amazing. The exterior was browned and had a delicious caramelized crunch to it. I could immediately taste the plum topping as I crunched on a few almonds. However, once I got to the interior of the tart, it was soggy - too moist. I don't think it's supposed to be that way - but it made the tart difficult to eat. It was very tasty, but the sogginess really detracted from the texture. There's an attached picture of the middle of the tart. I thought I would get a cookie and they had 4 choices - I chose the Molasses. It has been a LONG time since I had a molasses cookie. This one had a soft homemade texture - it was sprinkled with sugar. The deep taste of molasses came through immediately and left a delightful little 'bite' like fresh ginger or cloves might do. It was a great cookie. I saw some macaroons in the front of the window - plain and chocolate chip - I got the plain. I'm used to the 'store bought' macaroons-with finally chopped coconut and a soft creamy texture. This was NOT the Manishewitz coconut macaroon I grew up with....good thing! This was a 'real' macaroon - the coconut was shredded a longer length and had true texture. The cookie has a crispy exterior and a chewy coconut interior. I also ordered a mini tarte - the Pear Pistachio Tarte. It was covered in a pistachio crumble and a pear topping, with a pistachio custard filling, which had a reasonable consistency, unlike the Plum Almond. I'm a big pistachio lover and this little tart was yummy - the combination of nutty and fruity came out really well. Last, but not least, is the Apricot Financier. This is a very different pastry - moist - with a very subtle almond taste. There's a very small slice of apricot (I wish there would have been more) which added a nice fresh fruity chew to the light cake. While the cake tasted fine, it needed 'something' more. I'll be returning to Tarte - most likely for the pound cakes and a few cookies!

However, I was in town today, and thought I would see what this new Queen Village bakery was all about! The bakery, started by a couple, Zach and Paige Wernick, who had extensive baking experience, opened a few months ago. They were both there when I visited. I arrived at 10 on a Friday and they had sold out of several items I was hoping to try (Challah and Cardamom Bun). However, I made the best of the remaining pastries, and tried what was left. I started with the Chocolate Babka - as it has already made a 'reputation' for itself. (When I left the store, I went around the corner to Spread Bagels. The bagel baker's eyes lit up when he saw the babka! He knew it was from Rougarou and said "It's the best!"). I bought a whole babka as opposed to a slice. I'm very selective about my babkas. I like many different 'varieties' - the biggest difference I see among babkas is the layering of chocolate. Some babkas are a 'traditional' version with a moderate layering of chocolate - others, have several layers of chocolate making it denser. Rougarou has a thicker layering - which I believe is the more popular version. The inside had a nice texture, was beautifully marbled, very chocolaty, and I tasted cinnamon! I was surprised as I'd had many cinnamon babkas, but never a chocolate babka with cinnamon! It was braided into the moist loaf, and was an excellent addition. It was a delicious babka! I also got the Coffee Cake; it had been sometime since I had a slice of coffee cake at a bakery. This 'cake' was in the shape of a circle and powdered with sugar. It was a fluffy and tender, and with the crunchy top, was the perfect coffee cake! I could easily have eaten another one. Next up was the Ginger cookie. I have a fondness for these cookies as I love Ginger - especially with sushi! I took a bite into the chewy cookie and immediately tasted the sugar sparkling crust, and then the chewy interior, with just the right amount of spice! There's something special about the 'tang' of ginger in a cookie! Last, but definitely not the least, was the Butter croissant! It was one of the best croissants I've had. It was deeply golden and as flaky as can be on the outside. The inside was so light and airy - you could taste the richness of the butter. I tasted a 'saltiness' in the croissant thinking they may use 'salted butter'. I noted online the bakery uses sea salt in some of their pastries to balance the richness of the butter. It added a savory taste in a way....and while I think I prefer the pastry without the salt, I was intrigued. I was having eggs at the time, and cut the croissant in half and put the egg inside. It was epic! The light taste of the salt made for the best 'breakfast sandwich' I've had in a long time! I will definitely order again-it's unique! While reading about the bakery, there was a note to arrive as early as possible! I'll be sure to be there next time when it opens!! It's a real jewel in Queen Village!
