Stopped in for some treats which included a chocolate banana for a friend. The staff was nice enough to explain what's in the deserts and identify which items she enjoys I don't think it's a full bakery but more like a great place to take home treats. They sell whole cakes and many single serving treats. Most treats are $5 which Included the chocolate banana and small carrot cake (which I loved). One of my buddies recommended this place to me so I decided to check it out! This store is located underneath the Comcast Center and next to some other shops including Di Bruno's. I looked around their small display case as well as their grab-and-go bakery items. Their vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting and green sprinkles looked nice, so I decided to get it. My main concern with this place was the rude and unhelpful staff. When I came up, I was not greeted, all she did was check-me out. When I asked her if they had any drink options she just shouted at me "They are on the bored." At least she could say it politely. When leaving I was not told Thank You or even wished goodbye. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I still had an open mind when eating the cupcake. My friend was right in saying they were good. The frosting was exquisite and went perfectly with the nice airy cupcake. The middle was also filled with cream! The cupcake was very filling and I wasn't even able to finish it! While the cupcake was $2.50, I wouldn't call it overly expensive as it was very large and of good quality. Great service and great pastries. With the new location with a much large display case (basement of Comcast Center), they seem to always have a variety of cakes available fresh on hand. That says, we were easily able to walk in and get their chocolate chip pound cake, a crowd favorite. The cake was the perfect amount of dense and moist and sweet. They brew La Colombe coffee, which goes along well with their offerings (and is slightly cheaper than the actual La Colombe place!) I bought a birthday cake here for my brother's birthday and it was fantastic! The cake was a vanilla chocolate chip pound cake with chocolate ganache filling and a chocolate chip buttercream frosting with cute little chocolate chips on top. The cake was deliciously moist and dense, and the ganache in the middle was fantastic! I'm not usually a fan of buttercream but there wasn't an overwhelming amount of it on the cake, so it complemented the cake perfectly without being too creamy! The lady at the counter was super helpful and wrote my brother's name on the cake in beautiful blue icing and provided us with candles as well! This is a good little location located in the downstairs food court area at the Comcast Center. It has a very long counter with some of the same offerings on the left and the right. There doesn't seem to be a number, one woman that was baking told me to just grab any girl, which I was able to do quickly. I was helped quickly. The pastries all taste the same as their Termini's locations that I've been to. The pecan diamond is so scrumptious! I highly recommend it! Their cannolis are my fiancé's favorite of all time. Their amaretto cookies are delish! I did not love the chocolate almond biscotti. Prices are kind of high but I expect that so I wasn't shocked. I would return to this location and I would recommend stopping by for a sweet treat if you are catching the Comcast show or walking through the neighborhood. read more

This terminis was a bit tough to find at first. You have to walk in the comcast center and go down a flight of stairs where they have the market and shops. Nevertheless, I found it after a few minutes and got there to find there was no line (a rarity for terminis). Picked up a few cannolis, tiramisu cakes and almond horns. If you've never had the tiramisu before you must try it! Plus when you order a cannoli they put the cream in the shell right on the spot which is cool to watch. The people there were very friendly too! Terminis is a Philadelphia bakery experience that you won't get anywhere else! This has become my morning stop for coffee since it's across the street from my office. The staff is quite nice, provide free samples and they brew La Colombe. Whether I ride my bike (most days) or take the train (when it rains), I make a stop here for a large cup. We've grabbed their mini cannolis for the office a few times and they go rather quickly. The shop always has a delightful assortment of tantalizing pastries out so you can get off that diet plan. They even feature a "happy hour" around lunch time where they discount certain items. Went here while on a business trip to the Natural History Museum. Their facility looked really clean and they had a nice selection of cakes. The range was not ridiculously wide but there was a lot to choose from. I selected a few types of cakes, including Tiramisu, this rum soaked one with white chocolate (name I've forgotten), and Black Forest. I'm not a huge fan of the richness and sweetness of the cakes (I hate when cakes are too much of either) and they weren't overly so. They still were slightly too much for me though. The portions were tiny and I had trouble eating them though I felt as if I could when I started them. Overall, delicious but a tad too rich. read more

After sampling some truly delicious Termini's cake at work I decided this was the place I should get my man's birthday cake. He requested vanilla cake and vanilla icing, and specifically wanted lots of thick sugary icing. They delivered on that, so he was happy, but I found the cake part somewhat dry and the texture was coarse (overbaked?). I have since learned that the cake I tried before was made with the pound cake as opposed to traditional sponge, so maybe that's the way to go with this place. Or maybe our cake was just a fluke, who knows? The service folks were nice enough. I called to place my order, paid over the phone with a card ($25 for a basic 8" vanilla layer cake), and was able to pick it up two days later. Everything was written out as requested and it looked quite nice. Quite conveniently, there's a Hallmark store right around the corner where you can get a last minute card, or a last-minute number candle to make the correct age of the person celebrating their birthday. Termini Bros Bakery is extremely well known in Philly - and with reason! Their baked goods, especially the Italian specialties, are really quite wonderful. From cannoli to cookies to pies and cakes, it's hard to find something that doesn't taste (or look) delectable. Now that my bf's family lives in CC, this is their go-to bakery for cakes for any occasion - high praise since his mom is a fabulous baker herself and is very difficult to impress with anyone else's baked goods. Staff are nice (a RT location means they must deal with ALOT of people daily, and many tourists with silly questions), and can easily answer questions and help you choose what to get - help you may need since I've stared at their display cases for ages agonizing over choices since I can't walk away with everything they have! read more

I'd been going to the location in Reading Terminal for years. I remember being on the phone and begging them to wait for me to get there just a minute or two after closing so that I could pick up cannolis for a dinner party (I think I made up a crazy lie about taking them to the hospital for a sick friend). The Comcast Center location is now easier for me to get to, and the quality of the baked goods are just as high. The cannolis are amazing - shells are always crispy and I always go with the ricotta filling and no powdered sugar on top (doesn't need it). A little pricey for $3, but I'd still rather have that than a cupcake from somewhere else. The little fruit tarts and individual desserts are good, but I prefer the cannoli. Also, I picked up a whole cheesecake for a dinner party -- $14 and everyone loved it. I mean, LOVED it. It will be my go-to when asked to bring something to a potluck. read more

I cannot believe the owners of such a successful brand let this kind of service go unnoticed. Also, they don't allow any of your pastries to be boxed, and they won't allow you to even buy a box. You're forced to have every item separately bagged in plastic containers. Extremely ridiculous considering they're in an office building that has meetings for groups that want boxes of pastries. super attentive staff - may or may not be what you're into, but they really know their stuff. have been here before and nibbled on some treats here and there, which were great, esp the anise and sesame cookies. most recently, went in on a Saturday morning mid September looking for birthday cake with friends. although we did get some cakes, if you want a custom made cake, order in advance. we didnt know! although i guess its pretty typical procedure - silly us. they had two cute older men playing an accordion and guitar while we pastry shopped and that was rather delightful. we ended up getting 2 cakes! the mint chocolate chip and the carrot cake. first time i've had the cake here and HOLY CRAP! THESE WERE FABULOUS! if you like mint chocolate chip ice cream even just a little bit, then you MUSTMUSTMUST eat the mint chocolate chip cake. even if you don't like it. this is the best cake i've ever had. the carrot cake was nothing short of wonderful either. its in my top 3 carrot cakes ive ever had and i've had a lot of carrot cakes! man, this bakery sure is top notch. read more
