I have brought my dog Winston here several times and have had a pretty good experience. However the last couple of times has been less than great. I dropped my pup off at 8:30am and at 6pm they had still not cut him. :( Then when I finally picked him up at 6:45 his cut wasn't even and he was stressed from being there all day. Cool Cuts is Riley's "home away from home". She knows where we are as we're turning into the parking lot and jumping out of the jeep to go in..that should tell you something right there.....they are all amazing groomers and animal lovers. Adrianne and the entire staff are the best! Everyone I recommend them to says the same. And Riley comes out looking perfect every time! It's also very nice that the dogs can "hangout"' while waiting to be groomed and picked up - I think Riley loves the socializing the best! To those saying sometimes they are there a long time. They will tell you that up front when they are completely booked, especially on the weekends, but I've turned that time into errand running and outside work time when needing to go in and out of the yard with the gate open, but on the flip side, if they call and say they are ready, and you are in the middle of something, they are gracious enough to tell you to take your time picking them up. Hope they are around as long as I have dogs because I can't imagine any other groomer living up to their standards! read more

Cool cuts has such a great staff! They are the July people who have had the love and patience needed to groom my pup! It's slightly more expensive than the standard spots but definitely worth it for the quality and care. They don't crate any of the dogs, so they are roaming around while they wait - definitely a plus! My dog is a rescue and is a little anti-social with other dogs. I always let everyone know what my time line is - normally I am a little more laxed since I work from home, but my schedule is tight. We have NEVER had a problem with time there, but I would challenge a lot of groomers. I used to take my girl to a place that had a day care there and she consistently came back with nicks on her nose and hot rashes on her belly - not once did she come back no in some sort of pain. Same with other places. My grandmother and I have brought our doxies here for many years. Everyone here are genuine doggie lovers and make an effort to keep their fur guests comfortable. I brought my newest doxie "Ginger-Snap" who was a rescue to them to be groomed after a horrendous experience from her previous owner. Ginger obviously had trust issues and would "snap" at those she thought would hurt her. After bringing Ginger in the door, the owner welcomed us. After I explained Gingers story and warned her about her snapping, she soothed ginger by speaking to her softly and instructed me to put Ginger in her arms. She rocked her and sang to her as she walked to the back. She took her time and spoke to her throughout the entire experience. Her other employees did the same and showed the same level of care. This is a great "mom n pop" groomer store. The owner Adrian is really nice and helpful if you are not sure how short your pet's hair needs to go. The animals are well looked after and allowed to free roam, which is so much better than being caged. The are pretty quick when it comes to grooming which I love as nothing I hate more is my dog being stuck at the groomers for most of the working day like previous groomers. One thing I will also say is, is this is the only place where can I get my dog to walk in on a leash, at other places I normally have to drag her in or she's literally panicking and trying to crawl up my legs. Bad business. They consistently take much longer to do the grooming than they promise. They overbook the appointments on weekends and then stop answering the phone--even if you are calling about the status of your dogs. This has happened to me twice. The second time they accused me of lying about trying to call, and then when I showed my cellphone record they said "well we're just too busy to answer the phone." My dogs shiver and shake when I take them there, which is not a good sign. I won't go back. read more

I'm seasonal here in Pompano and my 2 dogs needed grooming desperately. On the recommendation of my neighbor I took them both to Cool Cuts. I was so pleased when Adrienne greeted us because both dogs were skittish and she was so attentive to them, talking to them and petting them to relax them. It was obvious that this was natural and coming from her heart. When she called to tell me both dogs were ready I was running errands and was several miles away. I told her I'd be there as soon as possible and she said to take my time, both dogs were fine, and to come when I was ready. I'm not sure who actually did the grooming, I know at least one of the dogs was done by someone else there, but both dogs came out great! I have been taking my little poodle to Adrienne for the past three years on a monthly basis, and she LOVES going there, being free to roam with all the other doggie friends!
