This shop has been around for almost two…read moreyears, and is a lovely mom and pop competitor to our corporate/sometimes unwelcoming other game shops in the area. In comparison, Numiru is always welcoming, quick, and friendly. The front half is sealed cards, board games, collectibles, and some books. Back half is singles, tables for games, and some drinks. While they don't have every product always, the selection they do have is at market price and varied. As we all know, Pokémon is the hot thing to scalp, and I always know that Numiru will have my back and at least a pack to buy in these trying times. They're only open Thursday-Sunday, but that's fine with me. For the value, friendliness, and lack of that certain something that makes me scared to ask questions in other shops, I'll wait for Numiru.

They have a wide range of trading cards, my kids were excited by the numerous versions of Pokémon. The prices are also reasonable. It seems like a small shop, but they have an excellent selection of board games, collectibles (funko, Star Wars, etc) books and snacks/drinks. The back of the store is setup for to play games and various tournaments. I was impressed with how clean the store was as well. I got to speak with the owners a bit and would love to hear more of their story and vision behind the store. We will be back and I encourage you to go check out and support a new local business!

It's so cool to have those old school board games to pick from or a video console. The employees were having such a passionate conversation about games between themselves I had to chuckle. My husband said he felt like some of the kits were marked up and then a discount was applied to make it the same price as Amazon. But supporting places like this is important. They pointed in the right direction of all the bulk. :) I was able to find lots of cute cards. Even their customers were so friendly and helpful. The bulk was super organized and there was also a large variety. Since we had a long drive back I stopped to used the bathroom. OMG the pokemon wallpaper was soooo cool! Looking forward to coming back here again! YAY!

The variety however is incredible. Plenty things i don't see in other card stores and their bulk and binder collection is really good too! PS: my friend taught me that you can choose any bulk you want and it's on a "pay what you want" system. So bring some loose cash if you're interested. What really turns me off about it is that the location isn't the easiest to get to, and on weekends? Forget about it. Most are well-used, so they unfortunately look like a frayed mess), and their selection is so wide, they even have some room for collectible goodies. The prices are a little rough, but they do try their best to price below GameStop for newer titles. I thought the retro games were pretty costly, but honestly, it's usually close to the cost as if I were to get them on eBay and include shipping. Can't really fault them for that if they're trying to make a profit. If there's anything close to negative I have to say, it's probably that the place is getting a little too popular again? Because there are so many people coming in, having only two people running front desk at a time leaves the risk of customers waiting a long time for a simple transaction, since they also handle repairs and the like. Maybe have someone who doesn't run a register that goes around answering questions? Not sure, but I do get sad when I see somebody who has been waiting in line just sigh and walk off because front desk is still working on testing a traded-in console.
