Here are just a few issues that come to mind years later: * HE WAS LATE! - We got married at the Surf & Sand in Laguna Beach and Chris Darnall didn't even show up on time! He blamed it on the fact that he couldn't find parking! That's when you suck it up and valet! Needless to say we got absolutely ZERO photos of myself or my husband getting ready!! (We also got no photos of the dress, shoes, rings, etc) *He wasn't prepared! - He had no idea where to set us up for photos so the entire wedding party was following him around the resort like a herd of cattle. He said he had worked at the Surf & Sand before but that was hard to believe by the way our wedding day unfolded. Total Chaos! *His timing was horrible! - He waiting until after our evening wedding to take our group wedding party pictures. He definitely didn't account for the lighting because the sun was set and all of the picture of our wedding party came out dark! *Unprofessional! - If our wedding day experience wasn't bad enough, when our wedding photo book arrived it was damaged! We let his know the book came damaged and he said he would replace it but never did!!! Whatever you do, do NOT use Darnall Photography for your wedding day! ...You might regret it, just like we do.

Not to mention that he really went the extra mile for us in showing up early and staying late! He is also a MASTER at lighting, composition, and really capturing the moment as its happening rather than fabricating it, like a lot of other wedding photographers seem to do. My financee and I were looking a professional photographer to take our engagement photos, and…read morerandomly found Studio Luxe online; and I'm sure glad we did. Not only it was more affordable vs other photographers that I've looked into, but Mr. Kim has worked in the film industry (Dream Works I believe) for 15+ years, so he's extremely knowledgeable in all these great locations to do a photo shoot. We first met up a few weeks before the session for about an hour to discuss the theme & direction of the shooting, which gave us a pretty clear expectation on what to expect and how to prepare. (he also provided guidance on what to wear, which was very helpful) Including the travel time, we spent 6~7 hours doing a photo shoot in 4 different locations. Given the fact that we've never done anything like this, it was super helpful that Mr. Kim gave us some pretty good directions and guidance on how to pose right. We are already happy with a few pictures that we've gotten so far (which came within 3~4 days after the photo shoot), and I strongly recommend Studio Luxe for the engagement photoshoot session.

He was completely helpful and accommodating during the entire process; from booking, to planning, to the day of the event and even after our wedding was over. First of all the initial meeting with him was great. He had a lot of information examples and work to show us which we liked. He was very nice and has a great sense of humor which made planning our wedding that much easier. My husband and I were searching for someone with a creative eye and good personality to make the experience fun. We both dont like being center of attention, but we truly wanted to have nice pics for our engagement and wedding. Not knowing to much about photography myself I put my trust in Aaron. From the initial consultation he took the time to get to know us and get a feel for what we wanted. He gave the best suggestions for locations and organized any permits necessary.
