Jambalaya was mid for $25.99. It wasn't the worst but, it wasn't the best. Shrimps were big and cooked to perfection. The chicken was small pieces and the sausage was tasty but cut up small. I ordered a Peach house made lemonade. The beverage was described as having a peach purée in their house made lemonade. It could not see the peach purée but, the lemonade did have a slight hint of peach flavor. Restaurant has beautiful decor and has a definite mood/vibe. It would be good for a date night. I recommend requesting a section with no children since the table two tables over had a small child screaming and throwing a temper tantrum on the floor. Or request to sit outside on the patio. The patio looked great. Our server was polite and prompt. She was able to answer any questions we had intelligently and concisely. read more

There's something you need to do here before joining their wine club or even looking at the menu, it is requesting Elesha as your server. While the food was delightful, and most of my choices as a CHW newbie were influenced by her suggestions, her kindness and personality were the star of the experience. She has the style and grace of a professional server in Chicago or LA. NWI is lucky to have someone as talented and warm as her. I thoroughly enjoyed my drunken shrimp, salad, seafood bisque, and chicken madeira. I really loved the option to have a smaller lunch portion because with all of these appetizers I was unable to finish my meal and had a delightful box of leftovers to enjoy later for dinner. There is also a great variety of NA drinks and cocktails that are fantastic. The ambience at lunch was lovely and once you actually enter the dining room, the din of the tasting area is dampened. My first time going here for a wine tasting. The service was welcoming. Our waitress was very nice her name was Kyma. She educated us about the Cooper's Hawk membership and we decided to go for it. We selected the tasting for two and split it amongst ourselves. Perfect deal! We went home with two bottles the same day. The summertime selection of wines they have right now we're all delicious. This is my second visit to this location. Came here at 4:30 on a Wednesday night. We did a wine tasting before dinner. It's a first come first serve basis. Cheyenne was our bartender. She was knowledgeable, fun & friendly. Her gorgeous holiday nails were a festive touch to the pour. We got 8 samples for $14. The pours were generous. I enjoyed all that I tried. She helped me choose after taking the time to ask me what I liked. After that we were seated in the dining room. The server brought delicious pretzel bread with whipped butter. I had the lobster, crab & shrimp bisque. The bowl was huge. A little salty, but delicious. Also a side Ceasar salad. Loved the dressing & crutons. My husband loved his jambalaya. My friends all also enjoyed their dinner. We didn't get dessert, although the menu looked liked there were a lot of great options. The ambience was great. Cozy, a little dark, but beautiful. Stopped at Cooper Hawk for my husband's birthday and it was such a treat! The current special entrée--butternut squash raviolis with lobster--was absolutely delicious. We had such a wonderful experience visiting this new Cooper's Hawk location. For starters, this location is beautiful, brand new, and very clean. Decor is very modern. This location is steps above other local locations. Staff was super attentive as soon as we walked in. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Mark was our server and he was wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh, made to order with all of our adjustments. Mark was extremely attentive and ensured that we had a positive experience. Came here for an annual birthday celebration. The atmosphere is upscale wine bar, but it was very loud and there was no dress code enforced (ex. A guest wearing pajamas) that took away from that experience. Our server was extremely friendly, until she asked what we were celebrating and we (a group of 4) stated we were celebrating all of our birthdays. She seemed confused and we explained that we have been friends since childhood and all have close birthdays. I'm not sure if she thought we were trying to sneak 4 free desserts, but if she would have asked for our ID's when we ordered drinks, she would have seen that all 4 of us had a birthday that week. Her friendly demeanor changed from that point forward. The drinks were strong, almost straight alcohol strong. The food lacked in some areas but overall was good. It definitely could have been better for the price point. Both the risotto and rigatoni seemed undercooked, and both chicken dishes could have used more seasoning. The carbonara was basically soup, and the corn & tomato risotto was more like spinach risotto. Despite it being a busy night, we didn't feel rushed and food service didn't take extremely long. Overall, I would come again to try more menu items if I was in the area, but I would be more inclined to try somewhere else first. read more

Went to one of the opening days. The staff is largely new and some improvement are needed. That being said the appetizers were phenomenal- both in presentation and taste. Our limited menu choices ( due to grand opening , and being free) Were tasty but could have had better serving temperatures. Something to be said for getting your food hot. The dessert menu was great but was not outstanding. Overall I am looking to going back and getting the stuff that I did not try. I think that this has more upside potential and if some of the kinks worked out will be every good as the best of Coopers read more

First time to this location since it opened. I've always enjoyed going to their other locations. Sadly, we were very disappointed. Not on the food or service, but in the amount of fruit flies that inundated the dining room. We literally killed over a dozen. Couldn't finish my wine because one decided to do back strokes in it. Now I know this could be a one off experience. However, the waitress and the manager just ignored the fact thay several tables were waving off small swarms from their meals. No apologies nothing. horrible I and the group I was with and I have been to many Cooper's Hawk locations. This one is the absolute worst. The food was awful compared to other locations around Chicago. Calamari was dripping with dirty grease. That was NOT a wedge salad from Coopers Hawk! The filet medallions were cooked to death and tough even though I ordered medium rare. The chicken was like leather and the noodles were mush. It was an awful Coopers Hawk food experience. Not to mention the restaurant is new and already kinda gross. Sticky menus and little bugs all over. The bathroom wasn't clean either. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL COOPERS HAWK! They really need to address this place or it will be closed as fast as it opened !!! read more

I am still trying to process an incident that took place 6 days ago. I purchased a meal on door dash from a Coopers Hawk IN. I was notified that the meal was ready by the door dash app and headed to the restaurant. I arrived at the restaurant and parked in the curbside lane and first texted the curbside number and received no response. I then called the restaurant to say that I was outside and had pre-paid for the order through the door dash app and was waiting for someone to bring out the food. I was asked my name and told that I needed to come in for door dash orders. I come in and am immediately irritated because there is no one in sight for carry out which makes no since to me if I'm being told to come in, I feel like they should be communicating to their team members that someone is coming inside for a pick up. So I am walking around trying to find someone to talk to. I am getting irritated because I am having a bit of dejavu because this happened to me before with this same restaurant when I called in an order before. I assumed they were having an off or busy night but am coming to realize this is just how they operate. When I finally see someone, I let her know that I have a to go order. She asks for my name. I give her my name. She says that the order should be ready in a few minutes. Now I'm livid. I said the app said that my order was ready. The lady says are you a door dasher. I said no. I just placed the order through doordash for pick up. Now I'm irritated because I feel like I'm repeating myself to everyone that I encounter. Someone else starts talking to me so now its two people talking to me at once. One who won't take accountability for half listening to what I'm saying and asking me the same questions 4-5 times. The other who is trying to keep things from escalating because I said I was irritated. But that also annoyed me because I have a right to have feelings and to be irritated by my food not being ready after they accepted my funds, the lack of coordination of the team, the lack of communication, the lack of accountability, and the gaslighting and trying to save face and blame me and the doordash app for everything. It was so frustrating and all could have been prevented and eliminated or resolved with a simple apology for the inconvenience. Instead, they wanted to keep saying that they have no control over the doordash app. We are beyond the doordash app. Even if the doordash app told me the food was ready and it was not, that does not explain their lack of coordination between colleagues, no one informing me my order was not ready on the phone before I was even asked to come in; that does not explain me being asked to come in then no staff being able to assist me for 5-7 minutes of me walking around looking for someone because no one was at the counter. That does not justify no one apologizing for the inconvenience of the food not being ready. That does not justify me being ganged up on by 1-3 employees when they were in the wrong. That does not justify the manager cowardly defending himself and blaming me and the doordash app for things beyond my and the apps control. Also, who ever set up the doordash partnership or someone had to be communicating to that app how long it takes to make that pasta. So if people are coming in and their order is not ready, perhaps there needs to be an update or there is a supply chain issue. I expect that level of thinking, problem solution, and customer relations from someone who is a manager of a store. Not arguing with a customer when they were inconvenienced, drove over 20 minutes, wondered around another 5-10, only to leave without food. I have given the company and this location money including on my birthday but will never do business with this location again. I have never had such a horrible experience. And on top of that, after asking to speaking to the manager and I am speaking to the manager, one of the employees insists on speaking to me which I found to be completely out of line and inappropriate. I am talking to your superior. So now it is unnecessarily 2 people vs 1 further emotionally escalating the issue and causing a scene. I did at some point request a refund and called door dash to complete the refund and have been made aware that it could take 5-7 business days. Yes that may be a doordash policy but all of this could have been prevented and/or resolved with 1) on time food or 2) better customer relations . As someone who works in HR, I was disgusted by the ego, cowardice, and lack of accountability. read more

Cooper's Hawk - Shops on Main Rating: I've never been a fan of these "fake fancy" spots--and Cooper's Hawk fits that vibe perfectly. It feels like a place where you go to overspend on pretty average food and wine. Nothing was bad per se, but nothing wowed me either. Service was solid, no complaints there. The ambiance was... fine? Not particularly memorable, but the chairs were surprisingly comfortable--so points for that. Still, I couldn't help but wonder: why the high prices? Maybe it's because there are 87 people in the kitchen? No clue. If you're into mass-produced upscale dining, this might be your thing. For me, it just didn't live up to the hype or the price tag. read more

I reserved seats for 2 for a dinner date with my niece. Upon arrival, this place was crazy busy and the line was long. Came up to Lauralyn whom was very professional and made my niece and I feel welcomed! Unlike most hostess with a straight and sometimes with no emotions they just ask for your name and how many people etc., etc.. Again, despite all the busy-ness that was going on, she smiled through it all. I Informed her I had a reservation and right away took me to a table. The food was terrific and the service was stellar! As busy and crammed as this place was, Ruby (our waitress) whom was phenomenal and knowledgeable, took the time to welcome us and to explain some of the dishes I've had questions about and helped me picked the Churrasco steak, which I recommend getting. Ruby was also very attentive making sure my 8 year old niece was comfortable and filling up my drink. She helped my niece pick out a dessert which turned out really well! I was in town two weekends in a short period due to my grandmother's death. Other than getting to see a lot of family, coming here was my favorite experience of the trip. The first time I spent a long time doing a wine tasting and then had the tuna appetizer and Dana's Parmesan crusted chicken at the bar. The food was so good. I had to come back again two weeks later. I bought several bottles to take back to Southern IN including the Blanc de Blanc, Chardonnay, and sparkling almond. Fabulous bar & tasting experience!! I'm partial to the Blanc De Blanc. I wish I could join the wine club, but I live too far away. Today I had a classic mimosa for five dollars and the jammy egg with avocado brunch item. The eggs were SO good!! There was not one spot left in the parking lot, so I was sure the kitchen would be slow, but not bad. The service is still very friendly, timely, and professional. Went for happy hour. Very few people. Terrible service. Inattentive server but she spent a lot of time on her other 3 tables with what looked like great service. The wines we chose from the happy hour menu rang up full price. Server didn't notice. This was server number one, who cashed out halfway through to leave. We received a server who seemed a little better. However, drinks rang up wrong again. When it was brought to his attention said he didn't realize those were on the happy hour menu. Umm....
