Wish I could give SIX stars! First off, the location is at the base of Mt Hood with beautiful views all around. The lady at the front desk was wonderful! She upgraded our lodging to a condo and it was large and cozy with a fireplace and slept 8 people. We will be checking out shortly and wanted to make sure I didn't forget to leave a review.

We really enjoyed our time at Cooper Spur! While we had originally booked a 2 bed room, the staff upgraded us to the log cabin, presumably because the resort wasn't particularly busy during the heat wave. Even without the upgrade though, the resort is nice and we would have been very happy with the 2 bed. The staff are very nice and we're more than willing to discuss things to do nearby, where to shop, etc. The breakfast baskets were nice and appreciated! We don't ski, we were just touring Oregon, but the location is very good for most travelers. Not far from Mt. Hood/Government camp and all the lakes. There's even some trails that start basically at the resort! We saw wildlife like deer from our back window. The lodging was nice, things were clean and appliances modern. They even had a little travel vending machine in case you forgot to pack something, though we didn't need to use it. Parking was easy enough. While it's an exclusive perk of the log cabin upgrade, the Jacuzzi was amazing! I hope to return someday, hopefully during fall when it's not so hot!

There are not enough superlatives to describe this wonderful oasis in the forest. If you have an opportunity to stay just take it. Friendly staff, beautiful location, luxury cabins

Didn't know what to expect since there are so few pictures on the website, but it was great! Our cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the fireplace, the surrounding woods, the location near Mt Hood and many hiking trails. Also near the "Fruit Loop" of Hood River Valley. The clean hot tubs were perfect after a day of hiking!

We come to the restaurant: bar for the ambiance, happy hour & fire. Cozy, warm.... Layer back vibe.

I filled up the bathtub to give my daughter a bath and there were various lengths of hairs everywhere in the shower surround.

Wouldn't stay here again. Everything was complicated and a headache. And for the price, it just wasn't worth it. We had been meaning to stay here and check out this venue for the past few years, being locals from Hood River. We always perfer the off-season to avoid the throngs of tourists and overpriced room charges. Today was my wife and I's 3rd wedding anniversary and with a 2 1/2 month old baby girl in tow, we decided to finally make it happen and venture out of the house for the first real time since the birth of our daughter. When we arrived we observed a very large group of people sitting in the grass at the front of the grounds. We quickly learned with great joy that we we would be lodging with a huge group of hippies who were staying at the "resort" for a wellness seminar thing. Basically it was a group of Californians with too much time and money on the hands sitting around talking about breathing, blood flow, and yoga poses. My kinda people! With all the excitement surrounding us, we didn't SEE much of these outdoor elitists at the restaurant where we had dinner or in the morning when we tried to have a leisurely wake-up. We mostly just HEARD them...at 10:00pm, 1:30am, and 4:30am, through the ceiling and walls. As for the 4:30am wake up, they of course had to awake and make it up to Cloud Cap for their sunrise meditation session or whatever. With the all-night commotion, on what we had hoped would be a mid-week, off season, quiet reprieve, we were desperate to sleep in! And we did! After the yogis left at 5:00am and since our room was basically a wooden cave, we slept until 9:00. But with a baby we have to do everything in shifts - eat, drink coffee, shower, get dressed, and pack one at a time. With 2 hours to go, we thought we would call the front desk and ask to check out at noon. Susan at the front desk basically gave us a "Hell No!". Despite the place being devoid of anyone around and a near empty parking lot we were told an emphatic no! They didn't have time for that. So, we hurried, rushed, scarfed our food, and slurpped our coffee, returned the keys, and got out of this hell hole right at 11:00. As we were leaving, the one and only house keeper, looking warn out and sluggish, was slowy cleaning a cabin two buildings away. There was no one tending to any room on our hallway or even in our main building. Whoo! Good thing we got out of there when we did! On the plus side, the food we had at dinner wasn't bad. The buns were a little over cooked and dry, however, and the "Happy Hour" was very limited and the cocktails I ordered were not happy hour priced and were the size of shooters. At $197 for one mid-week night, I felt like the value was more like $90-110. Cooper Spur, again, I won't be back.

Very loud fly hitting and bumping the lamp whole trying to sleep.. there's more than 2 flies inside the cabin when we got here..

For $400, you can get your *entire family* a season pass that is good for lift tickets *and* rentals. If you can commit to going 4, 5, or 6 times, that is a killer deal. Pencil out your alternatives, and you will definitely not find any less expensive options. You can use some of the money you save to get some ski school or individual instruction, which is well worth it. Consider it an investment in your families' future entertainment for years to come. The lodge is cozy but unpretentious and comfortable enough. Free wifi is handy, so you can send messages to family members (even if you don't get cell service on the mountain, at least they'll get the message when they get back into wifi). Food is just fine for what it is. The ski lift and runs are nice for beginners. They have a good rope tow to get started with, and then the ski lift isn't too difficult. They have a handful of runs ranging from beginner to intermediate. Even though the runs aren't long, the ski lift doesn't get too busy. Parking can be a problem, and sometimes you need to ride a shuttle up from the lot down by the resort (about 1 mile away). Also the rental center can be very busy, and a line can form that can take 30-45+ minutes to get through. Neither are a huge deal, but all things considered it is a good idea to arrive as early as possible to get good parking and avoid the rush. If you do have to wait, just practice some patience -- you'll get on the mountain eventually. They also have a very small tube hill (I haven't done this, but it looks pretty measly, so I wouldn't make a special trip up just for this) and options for nordic (cross-country skiing / snow-shoeing). If you get the family season pass deal, for another $40 you can add-on nordic rentals and access, which seems like a good deal if you'd like to have some variety. One other nice option is that, coming from Portland, you can take HW 26 (through Government Camp) or US 35 (though Hood River). It is good to have options, as traffic on 26 can back up on popular ski days. Also, there are lots of great restaurants in Hood River that can be enjoyed after a full day of skiing.

From morning until the lifts close, it's nonstop fun and quality time we all look forward to. One of the things I love most about Mt. Hood Meadows is the variety of terrain. Whether you're just learning or have been skiing or snowboarding for years, there's something for everyone. My favorite has to be the Vista lift -- the ride up offers absolutely breathtaking views of Mt. Hood and the surrounding mountains. It's one of those moments where you just pause and take it all in. And the run down is just as incredible -- smooth, scenic, and so much fun. The real magic happens on those perfect "Blue Bird" days. Clear skies, bright sunshine, and fresh snow sparkling beneath you -- it doesn't get better than that. Those are the days that create lasting memories and keep us coming back year after year. Mt. I very much appreciated this gesture and do believe that management cares about the guest experience at Timberline. We finally booked our free stay about one year after our initial stay. I was SO excited to hear while checking in that they were now offering a free continental breakfast to all staying at the hotel! Their $30+ breakfast buffet was outrageous, and a free option for how much you're spending on the hotel room felt like the least they could offer. However, I was extremely disappointed to discover that the continental breakfast consists of cereal, apples, toast and pastries. Not a protein in sight, nor a non dairy milk. The flow of traffic into the continental breakfast area of the Cascade dining room was also poorly designed and created a lot of unnecessary issues with flow. Although a free breakfast is a step in the right direction, it was still disappointing considering our off-peak weekday stay came in at $430 (I think they can swing some powdered eggs or even just some yogurt for that much money). Overall, my opinion of the beds/ rooms hasn't changed much; the beds are horribly uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. Our shower was larger and did drain this time so I'll take that win. I enjoy visiting Timberline but won't be staying the night again.

We did multiple activities including the toboggan, Indy cars, and batting cages. The Indy cars we were most excited about but was extremely poorly run. They were down to a single iPad for entering in "account information" which would disconnect frequently and massively hold up the lines. Also with folks rotating helmets left and right you were subject to a sweaty helmet straight from the head of another patron to yours. Would have loved some level of sanitation or head cover in between. It felt disorganized and frantic getting people through. Then there was the batting cages which honestly were a sad excuse for what a cage should be. For one, as expressed in many other reviews there simply aren't enough bats. There's one single adult sized bat there split across say 6 different cages which as you can imagine creates quite the bottleneck when trying to participate. Also the majority of the helmets are either falling apart or way too big. Just gave the feeling of knowing it's a problem and not wanting to fix it. Expect a wait if you're looking to get more than a couple swings in, or a bent children's bat for that matter. Lastly was just the general things like empty hand sanitizers, no paper towels in the men's bathroom, things that aren't that major but just add up when you see it consistently across multiple areas. Especially for the price you pay for a pass, it just didn't seem accounted for. I enjoyed time friends but would by no means recommend or rush back to this summer activity as it is simply not worth the drive out from Portland.

On a day when Mount Hood Meadows was an absolute zoo road backed up for miles, cars abandoned like a snowbound parade, and humans standing in line like cattle waiting for a bus that may or may not arrive sometime next season we made the executive decision to pivot. Best call of the day. Parking at Meadows? Forget it. Shuttle line? Wrapped around the block. And I'm not exaggerating when I say it looked like ten busloads of people standing there at 11 a.m., staring into the abyss, hoping luck would smile upon them. Minimum hour wait if you're lucky... and that's before tickets, walking, and lift lines. Meanwhile, we rolled over to Timberline Summit Pass, found a miracle parking spot near a snow berm, walked about five feet, and were basically done. For around $47, this pass is an absolute steal. I'm an avid skier, and they had fresh powder, nicely groomed runs, and everything running smoothly. No chaos. No stress. Just skiing. We wanted to ski early and get home for a Ducks game and this setup delivered perfectly. While everyone else was still standing around burning daylight, we were already making turns. We skied, we laughed, we didn't rush, and when we were done, we cruised down to Rat Settlers for pizza and lunch like civilized adults. All in, about a hundred bucks for the two of us two older folks just farting around on skis, enjoying the mountain. My wife even got to break in a brand-new set of skis, which is exactly what this little mountain is perfect for. That's the beauty of Summit Pass: it's not trying to be everything. It's fun, beautiful, efficient, and ideal for warming up, getting reps in, or introducing kids and folks who haven't skied all year. No $100+ tickets. No $300 "premium experience." Just honest skiing at a fair price. Big kudos to Timberline Summit Pass. We made the most of our day while others wasted theirs in line, and I'll absolutely be back with the kids, with friends, and anytime I want a low-stress, high-fun day on the snow. Erin on the new magic carpet is very supportive and encourages all to keep going. Thanks Erin. Ski lift seats are mostly hard wood without a foot rest or bar to pull down. but it gets you up to the top of this ski area. The jump off is low and the runout is steep. Tip, ride the lift to the edge of the fall away and then push off the chair. The slopes are groomed but a bit icy today (two weeks ago). Later when the sun came out the snow softened. This place reminds me of where I learned to ski; small two lift Mama-Papa places in Japan. Except Summit is missing the Kirn Ichiban beer, Yakitori and steaming hot bao. But that was like another lifetime for me. This ski area is has everything I need to meet my "Get Back On The Snow" goal. It's open every day from 9:am, it has food and drinks, ski rentals, a magic carpet, one lift and a shuttle to the top when I'm ready. Ahh yes, very comfortable, but I do miss the bao.

This was our second stay in the RV park and it was delightful. Our first visit was marred by road…read moreconstruction noise and dust all day in the RV part. They offered to comp us on another stay and we took them up on it. We were there both times in off season (good discounts) so not many guests. The RV park was quiet this time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We like that the overnight guests have sole access to the pool area in the morning and evening. Soaking in the morning was delightful with not so many people around. I agree with others that the food offerings could have been much better altho the fry bread and nachos were really good - albeit not very healthy. Both times we were there the bathrooms were nice and clean and warm. Maybe the hotel is different, but we didn't have to pay for towels as another review stated (maybe they were actually day use folks?) . We only ran into friendly staff. It's not close enough that we would go their every year, but we will likely go again in a few years after they do more of their planned upgrades.

IMHO, Terrible. Pool was filthy dirty, room had mildew odor and no elevator, so you have to carry…read moreyour luggage up several flights of stairs. Food was awful but expensive. They even charge you a rental fee for pool towels!!! When you ask for help the staff scoffs at you. To call this place a resort is a joke, accept the joke is on you at $350 a night. I would compare this place to a bad Motel Six but that would be unfair to Motel Six.
