We were here in the middle of the week and were fortunate to have the entire grounds to ourselves. I found the hikes and trails super easy and well-groomed. Breakfast was perfect: hard-boiled eggs, chilled oats, coffee, yogurt and fruit. The barn kitchen had everything to cook an excellent meal. We ended up never going out for dinner. We just stayed in and cooked. Darren, our host, was friendly and kind. Zia, our yoga teacher, led a dynamic yoga session and was a delight to talk to. Best of all, we got to sleep in a comforble tent under the stars. We got to see constellations and shooting stars! We could hear coyotes in the distance. Duriing the day, we saw a family of deer on our hikes. Definitely bring flashlights, sunblock, bug spray and a good book, if you plan to visit. There are some games (Uno, cards, etc.) at the barn, so no need to bring your own unless you want to play in your tent. In the dining area outside the barn, you can okay horshoes, Cornhole or bocce. If you're looking for a romantic vacation somewhere remote, that includes the outdoors but without sacrificing all the comforts of home, this is it!

It was at the tail end of winter, with cold nights and wet days. Rooms have gas fireplaces, with outdoor seating and porches for warmer weather. Checkin was great in the main lodge. They had many friendly employees. There's a bar and restaurant here that I didn't have time to visit! The grounds have paved trails all over, with quick walks or bike rides to restaurants, bars, and outdoor activities. They have a free shuttle that can get you around to places quicker too! My room was gorgeous, with high ceilings, wood, and soft decor. The bathroom was very modern and comfortable. Worth the cost. Another place I really wanted to visit was the indoor heated pool area that looked amazing. Maybe next time! For the event we had catered amazing meals of local produce and meats, so many flavorful items. The event spaces all have a lodge feel to them as well, comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a few days if you're in the area.

We waited a couple of hours and the room was still not ready at the new guaranteed time. The first room they offered us would not open so they gave us another room, but then when we went into the second room, it totally was not made ready for new guests. Check out all of the photos attached. The bed was not made and clearly used by prior hotel guests. The bathroom didn't have all of the lights functioning, but worse had towels that were dirty and we're all hung up together on the hook. Trash was not taken out. The room also was set to such a high temperature that I could not adjust nor put on any AC in the thick of summer heat. Outside there was a dead rodent right outside the patio that looks like it had been sitting there for a long time. The worst part is when I complained about this, the person who answered was very Flippin did not apologize and was very defensive saying that they were swamped. I understand that it was a holiday weekend, but to deny my experience and not offer anything aside from a dinner was reprehensible and totally not anywhere near the kind of service that a four star resort should offer. The following morning to placate us, they left a basket of perishable items, but didn't even check in with us and so by the time we opened it with the heat and hours sitting there, it was not edible anymore. Organization was also an issue because when I tried going to yoga, I got there early and per the attached signs. Everyone was supposed to meet there. I waited and waited called the front desk, asked where it was supposed to be even called the phone number listed on the sign yet did not find the class eventually I hitched a ride with the resorts golf cart and they drove me to the usual hiking place and I ran after the group to try to catch up, but I already missed part of the hike and it clearly was the fault of whoever organized it. I travel a lot and have stayed at many resorts all over the world, and this was the most disorganized and horrible service, especially considering the bad experience we went through. There were no offers to comp our bill or to make it right. Just excuses I would stay away from this until it has new management.

Both times we were there the bathrooms were nice and clean and warm. I've never been required to pay for wifi, so it Toilet was stopped up, but the plunger in closet did the trick. No dresser, which is weird for a timeshare with week-long stays. About an hour after arrival someone from the front desk called to make sure we had everything we needed, which was a nice touch. Or they new about the toilet issue... Our one bedroom unit was clean. There was a noticeable lack of cabinetry. All the plates and bowls were stored where an oven would be. That meant no oven, only a cook top. But we were aware of this prior to check in. My teen said the pullout couch was "a pull-out couch" so I guess that means average comfortability? Due to covid we did not use the pool or any other amenities besides the washer and dryer. Which by the way, you didn't have to pay for. This was a nice treat since we pay about $3 per load of laundry at our home timeshare. A sales guy followed me out the door with a flashlight yelling that he was "security" and that I must immediately "stop walking away." By the time I got inside my car, locked the door with my wife and kid who had stayed safely inside, he shined his light through the passenger door window and yelled that he was going to freeze my account. :ROFLMAO: The light scared my 11-year old, and frightened my wife until I told her all this is a complete ruse.
