Enjoyed the live music in a comfortable space in a cool building. Service was a bit slow to take our order, but once we had ordered I was astounded at how quickly our food came - someone brought our appetizer within just a minute or two after the waiter had taken our order, and our main dishes were out before we finished the brussel sprouts. The cocktail was very good, and the brussel sprouts were fine. The Cajun pasta was a perfect portion size, and the shrimp was delicious, the sausage was fine, the chicken was rather tough and not terribly flavorful. The breadstick also lacked any flavor, though it did soak up the pasta sauce nicely. It was expensive for what I got. Overall I'm glad I tried it, and I would enjoy meeting up for drinks here, but I don't think I'd be in a hurry to order dinner again. read more

The Bishops Quarter is a great neighborhood spot! First, the whole area in downtown Loveland is pretty cool with the bike trail and other restaurants. The drinks were great! I had the street sipper which was phenomenal. For dinner I had the blackened grouper with Parmesan grits and Brussels which was really good. This place looked pretty promising from the Google reviews online. Went in on a Monday night. They didn't have a wait staff for the evening so the bartenders were doing workin the floor and the bar. Monday night is oyster night so I ordered a dozen and a drink. The oysters were shucked in advance and judging from how dry and shriveled up they were it was likely night before. They didn't bother to remove the oysters from the adductor muscle so I had to awkwardly pry them away with a butter knife . Finished my drink half way through my appetizer and tried unsuccessfully to get someone's attention for another drink and order dinner. Finished my oysters and still unable to get a drink. Can't say enough good things about my recent experience at Bishop's Quarter, and the wonderful job they did hosting my daughter's law school graduation celebration. The food was incredible. The staff was warm and welcoming. But what really stood out for our group were the mocktails. Absolutely out of this world. Zach, our assigned bartender was fantastic: efficient, friendly, creative, and such a big part of making the party feel special and fun for everyone. This palce has something truly special about it. There were four of us that came to listen to our friends play music on a Friday night. The hostesses couldn't have been more lovely explaining the wait, then getting us in for our table through the crowded bar area. Our server, Lilly, was friendly and on the ball throughout our dinner. For the table we order fish and chips, buffalo chicken sandwich, and the creole pasta. The fish had an great batter and the fries were also good. The creole pasta was very creamy and comforting, and the chicken sandwich was overcooked so the breading had a yucky taste and the chicken was very dry. I really like this eatery. My lovely Mrs looooves this establishment. The location, the folks working here and the food we have ordered has always been delicious. We've usually dined on the 1st floor which is has a very old school bar eatery but with the weather being so nice here as of lately, the hostess asked if we wanted to eat on the 3rd floor patio. Which we'd never been up to but it's quite lovely. Seated in the bar area, live music and a nice breeze rolling thru. We ordered drink specials; vanilla old fashioned and strawberry smash and they were both incredibly tasty. We shared fish and chips. Had no clue they'd divide the dish in two separate plates instead of us doing the work once it arrived. That was unexpected but much appreciated. The fish was perfect. This has become my go-to place when I want to have a great night for sure. The atmosphere is great, and all the food is delicious. We've had the shrimp cocktail, raw oysters on the half shell, and we order those almost every time. The burger is perfect, the French dip, and French onion soup give you a warm and cozy feeling. It's like home food (if your mom is a good cook!) I had the salmon with citrus sauce tonight and it was great. Reese was our waiter tonight and kudos to him! Very attentive. This is our new go-to spot since we moved to Loveland. The atmosphere is great. They have live music often, a rooftop terrace, and great food. I'm a huge fan of the blackened grouper. We stopped in on a cold afternoon for lunch with another couple. The bourbon menu is extensive. Even though it was lunch, I ordered a Woodford Reserve Wheat on the rocks. The first thing to note is it is served with a single square ice cube. I ordered the fish and chips which was outstanding! We introduced our friends to fried cheese curds which was an instant hit. The other noteworthy fish was a sea bass on salad entree. The ladies both loved the sea bass. My friend ordered a wrap and was thrilled. I'd wanted to try this place for a while and I wish it was a better experience. I'll start with Service as it can save a bad meal. The host staff made my wife feel like we were an inconvenience more than a guest which I wish that I would have took the clues. The rest of the service staff were a bit friendlier but I would not claim to feel like I was a wanted customer with a constant reminder of how busy they were. I had ordered the filet dish (medium) and it was so overdone it looked more like a hamburger on the 4th of July. If the meal were not $200+, I'd really not have been too harsh but I believe that with my mention of it to the waiter, something should have been done and nothing was. As time passed the place had become standing room everywhere in the dining area. We got up and one of the wait staff asked if we were leaving and we said yes and their response was "Thank god." I really don't want places to fail but, this was the epitome of failure for us last night. Food, service and all. Visited on a Saturday for a private event. Was a little hard to find parking nearby during peak time (12 PM). Tried a lavender martini off the menu which was very flavorful and then switched to classic martini which was also very tasty. For food they had brussel sprouts, salad, chicken pasta and pretzel bites. The food was good and had a lot of flavor. The downfall was the plates, as ALL of them were dirty. Bishops Quarter is a New Orleans inspired restaurant in downtown Loveland. We recently went for a friend's rehearsal dinner and loved it! It definitely reminded me of the trips I've taken down to NOLA and the walks to Cafe Du Monde for coffee & beignets. Here's what we had: Fried Brussel Sprouts with Remolade Soft Pretzels and Beer Cheese Bruschetta Cajun Chicken Pasta Gumbo Hazelnut Beignets Cheesecake Bites Everything was so, so good! Sprouts are one of my favorite foods and these had great flavor with an excellent sauce, and the gumbo was quality (it also had shrimp in it which was not listed in the menu). Aesthetically, this place hits all the marks. Gas lamps outside, wood bar inside. Extensive (overpriced) bourbon list. We asked the server how big the bourbon pours were. She initially said 1oz. We were surprised given some of the pricing and said we would order if the pours were at least 1.5oz. She proceeded to check 3 times with different people and flip flopped each time between pour sizes. Turns out it is 1.5oz, confirmed after we had finished our meal and were cashing out. Server and 3 others stood behind the bar chatting for most of our meal. Mixed drink was never served, water was never refilled, server never checked in on food (which was delivered by a food runner). Food is "not terrible" largely because the frozen tater tots were cooked well. Skip the grouper tacos. Grouper was well seasoned, but on flour tortillas with a small smear of (flavorful) avocado, it turned into a gummy mess. For $16 you can get better tacos at the food truck next door. read more

Great service! Great music! I Ordered too much! My husband got the French onion soup and the shrimp poo boy sandwich with a Tom Collins to drink - he loved the food and drink. Not a drop was left in the bowl or on the plate! My son got the grilled chicken sandwich with fries - he said the chicken was grilled perfectly. And again not a drop was left.
