We waited about 15 minutes to be seated and then were told there was nothing available outdoors, which is what we had requested. Two strikes to start... but then waitress Sierra hit it out of the park and we had a wonderful meal! Her manner was delightful and wine recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious (sausage and burrata flatbread appetizer, gnocchi carbonara, parm-crusted filet medallions/soy ginger salmon) and portions were reasonable --we didn't go away hungry, stuffed, or loaded with leftovers. Sharing the scrumptious chocolate cake was the perfect finish, and we'll be enjoying a bottle of Scarletto at home later. Boy do they push the wine club. Pay 25 45 or 65 a month for 1 to 3 bottles of wine to consume there. They make their own wine or get someone to make for them. This was my first time here. Free valet parking. I had the chicken Madeira. It was very good but not as good as Cheesecake Factory. Caesar salad was pretty good. Bread for a table of 4 was very small. Service was not great. Slow on refilling water or stopping by. Kept pushing the wine club. Decent menu with good prices. Appertizers not very shareable. read more

I ordered the lunch portion of the parmesan crusted chicken - I received a burnt chicken breast - the wrong potatoes that didn't initially come with the entree when I was looking forward to the cheesy casserole like potatoes and barely any green beans. It was extremely disappointing and ice cold. I know I know, I ordered from doordash but I am 10 minutes away so no reason to be cold plus you should offer good food no matter what with the price point their food is at. We were in the area so we stopped here for lunch. We've eaten dinner at the one in Liberty Twp so we knew the vibe was about wine. We tried the Grilled Mahi sandwich ($17.99) and the Soup & Sandwich combo ($19.99). A glass of wine was $11 and a soft drink was $4.99. $70 with tax and tip. The term "upscale" seems to have become a euphemism for "more expensive than you thought it was going to be". I rated it 3 stars for several reasons. First, the food tasted very salty, almost to the point of us sending it back but we didn't because we had been waiting almost 30 minutes and were hungry. The slow service was reason two. Reason three was the price point. Five bucks for a coke? Twenty bucks for a soup and sandwich? The food was OK but the value just wasn't there. And reason four was the noise level. It was so loud I couldn't take an incoming cell phone call. Having said all that, they didn't seem to be hurting for business on a Friday afternoon so all I can say is it seems there are a lot of people out there who really like the place. If you're one of them, I think you'll find this Coopers Hawk a great place for lunch or dinner. read more

It wasn't my first time at a Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, but it was my first visit to this location. While visiting Cincinnati, I decided to try this place for dinner. I arrived during happy hour and chose to sit at the bar. I ordered a cocktail, a cup of soup, and the shaved prime sliders. The cocktail was just okay. The crab, shrimp, and lobster bisque was served hot and was good, although I wished it had a bit more seafood. The prime sliders were the perfect portion, and I enjoyed them. Christmas lunch with work party. The place was jumping at lunch time we had a reservation so smooth sailing. The waiter was friendly efficient an knowledgeable. I believe our server's name was Stacie and she was an excellent representative for this location. if I'm wrong I do know she wears a beautiful birthstone necklace. As this was our first time, she was able to give us feedback on a few of the dishes that we asked about before making our decision. I had the pork chop lunch size. As you can see by the plate, only thing left was the silverware. My companion had zero complaints about his ahi burger and fries and my daughter's chicken tenders had good flavor as well. I had such an amazing wine tasting with friends that I left with a wine club membership. I started with the sweet wine. The wines originate tasting space is beautiful I believe the have the longest tables for wine tasting unlike the livery location which is fairly small. It's overrated. When I pulled into the lot, most of the spots were taken by cones reserved for valet parking. I searched for a spot, but there were none available. I dropped my daughter off at the door and told her to go check in for our 6:00 reservation, as it was 5:55 and we were running late. I then stopped in front of the valet stand and asked the gentleman, 'If all the spots in the lot are taken, where am I supposed to park without using the valet?' They told me I could park in the Lowe's parking lot. I looked at both of them and said, 'So, you expect this old lady to drive all the way over to Lowe's, park, and walk back up that big hill? Thanks so much.' I then drove off, parked in the Lowe's lot, and walked in. The service was absolutely awful and took forever. The appetizer and the entrée were delicious--which is the only reason I gave two stars--but the wine was nasty. We drank the two glasses we ordered anyway, and we wanted to order more, but our server never came back. Some guy delivered our food and immediately left. When she finally returned, we had finished our wine, water, appetizer, and dinner. I mentioned the wine to her, but she didn't seem to care and didn't even ask how our meal or appetizer was. We had all the plates stacked at the end of the table waiting for someone to clear them and get us refills, but that didn't happen either. We should have asked for the bill then, but we both wanted to try the chocolate cake, so when she returned, we ordered the dessert instead of more wine and asked for the check. The dessert tasted like a Sara Lee cake from the frozen section. Our reservation was for 6:00 PM, and we didn't leave the restaurant until 9:00 PM--that's three hours for two glasses of wine, two glasses of water, an appetizer, two meals, and a dessert for two people. Is that normal? The dessert tasted like something I could have grabbed out of the freezer section myself. Will I be back? No, I will not. It's overrated, and the hospitality is awful! read more

We are from Louisville , Ky and highly recommend this place. we were so blown away by this company and restaurant that we requested to talk to the manager begged for a location around Louisville or southern Indian! 1. Parmesan-Crusted Pork Chop This plate came out looking serious. The pork chops had that golden, crunchy sear that lets you know the chef didn't cheat the pan. The crust is seasoned well, giving each bite a savory crunch before you hit the juicy center. The sauce on the bottom adds flavor but also runs a little thin, so it doesn't cling as much as you'd expect. The mashed potatoes are smooth, and those crispy fried onions on top add the right texture. Solid, comforting, and flavorful -- just needed a thicker reduction to tighten the plate. 2. Gnocchi with Braised Short Rib Sauce This dish is exactly what comfort food wants to be when it grows up. The gnocchi is soft, pillowy, and coated in a rich, slow-simmered sauce that tastes like somebody took their time building layers. We had a reservation we were sat right away. we were served this delicious pretzel bread. We were there for brunch. I got the French toast with bacon. My husband ended up getting cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious. The second time we went. We also had a reservation. And again we were served delicious pretzel bread with butter. I got the mahi-mahi I think on risotto with lemon sauce and broccolini, the broccolini was OK, the mashed potatoes weren't good. They were just plain, but the taste of the sauce and the fish were delicious. I've tried to make it at home. The restaurant is clean nice and open. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I tasted 3 red wines. Cab, rioja, and a super Tuscan. I picked Tuscan. It was pretty good so I got a bottle. I noted jambalaya on the menu. That really stood out to me. The waiter advised not to get but he was also comparing to his experience with lousiana. Plus I was so intrigued that it was on the menu given other food items that it must be notable. I had to agree with the waiter. It was not very good jambalaya. Honestly it was an embarrassment and not even sure why it was on the menu. Perhaps a way to use left over ingredients and cover it up with an equivalent of a rice a roni jambalaya ( if rice a roni were to make a jambalaya flavor). I think the waiter felt so bad for me that rlhe removed from bill which I insisted that he did not because he gave me ample warning and I did not heed. He did his job well so tipped him accordingly. So based on jambalaya the food is meh. The wine was not bad so 3 stars. I would eat and try again as the patio area was a good place to chill and enjoy the evening. read more

Setvice was SLOW - it took over an hour to get our food once the order was placed, just getting drinks took 20 minutes!!! Total time: 2 1/2 hours! The server was very nice but crazy busy. Ordered a prime rib sandwich - it was not shaved, as stated in the menu, and it was unbelievably tough. For $23.99 I expected beter. Ordered a side salad and was charged for a full salad. Dessert was a joke - ordered key lime pie - it came in a tiny pie shell. For the $11.99 price you could purchase a whoie pie at the grocery store! There was a trio seated near us. Their guffawing was extremely loud and constant - I thought this was an upscale casual dining spot -evidently not as other upscale spots like The Greyhound do not put up with that behavior. I have been a wine club member for over 10 years. My friends and I go in there on a regular to just hang out and do a wine tasting, or to sit at the bar and catch up and have wine and an appetizer or a light meal. The ambiance is cool; my only complaint is that it's sometimes too dark in there, especially in the bar area. The tasting room is very busy most of the time, I think because the Liberty location is just too far. The bar staff is my favorite, they pretty much know who we are (because we go so much), and they are always accommodating and pleasant. Shelby is one of my faves. I do have a love/hate relationship with their menu because all of the things I enjoyed in the past got taken off the menu after COVID. A few of those items are on the monthly chef's recommendations menu but of course are only there for that month. For it to not be a "steakhouse", the filet medallions are really flavorful, and the skirt steak that comes on the wedge salad (which is amazing by the way) is very tender. They probably have some of the best brussel sprouts in the city. I have to pace myself with the warm pretzel bread and hipped butter! When I get salmon from there, I normally get it blackened but the soy ginger sauce is also tasty. They have a great wine selection, and the tastings help you figure out what you really like and introduce you to new flavors if you normally stick to either sweet or dry. Overall, I do appreciate my wine club membership because of some of the perks that come with it (the tastings, birthday rewards, anniversary bottles, etc.). And I appreciate that every time I go, I have win eon my account to enjoy while there, and bottles to take home if I choose to. I will try the west side location one day soon. Came here as a party of one. I always try to sit at the bar instead of taking up a table but the bar was full so the hostess sat me at a table. I waited about 16 minutes before a server came up and he told me that he would be right back as he was going to ask if he was supposed to be waiting on me or not.
