Coopersburg Diner, aka, 'The Coop,' is located on N 3rd St. They are open daily from 7AM - 9PM. I used to come here all the time years ago, and the food was consistently good. Sadly, my visit last Saturday was a letdown. I kicked things off with the chicken quesadillas, which turned out to be pretty solid. The tortilla had a nice crisp to it, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Next, I tried the homemade French onion soup. It arrived lukewarm, which dulled the flavor. This dish really needs to be served hot for the ingredients to meld properly. Lastly, I had the Coop Club with turkey, roast beef, ham, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. It ended up being dry and lacking flavor, not what I expected from a signature sandwich. Service was fast and efficient. Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. We have frequented the Coop and have always had a good meal. And that includes meals we ordered for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is diverse and is very reasonably priced. I had heard good things throughout the years about this diner, but honestly, this just wasn't my experience unfortunately. My main issue was with the fried fish. When it arrived, the batter did not at all look appealing. Okay, well I was still hopeful. That is, until I cut it opened, and smelled a not-so-fresh scent coming from the fish. Not good. And no way I was going to eat that. An extra star for the server, who took it off the bill, without question. The roast turkey was okay, but not something I'd order again. Portion size was good though. So I guess if you like huge food quantities at an okay price, this place would be good. First time ever dining at the Coop Diner. My brother in law has frequented the C.D. and while my wife and I were out we decided to stop in. Had their vegetable soup and from the first spoonful. I told my wife it was the best tasting veg soup I've ever eaten! Hands down it was so good I took a bowl home. I actually found out the days they make it (Wednesdays & Fridays) and I will be coming from Easton to get me some of that incredible soup! Their veggie fajitas were delicious, the pizza fries were awesome and the serving was enormous! Went home with a bunch of leftovers (all gone now). Met one of the owners a V I believe? I have been stopping in the Coopersburg Diner otherwise known as The Coop. We stopped today after a round of golf. I purchased a chicken Caesar wrap and it was delicious. Plenty of chicken in the wrap. I had to take half of it home. It came with vegetable chicken soup which tasted superbly. Plenty of veggies in the soup. I cannot rave anymore about the soup. I had Chicken Caesar wrap, soup and bag of chips, ice tea including tax for a little over $17. That is very good price in today's economy. Quickly ordered after sitting down. Fast service. Lunch Saturday afternoon. Wife wanted country omelet with fruit cup. Menu says choice of fruit cup or potatoes. Waitress says no choice. Chef mixes fruit into omelet. (seriously??). Meal came as scrambled eggs mixed with potatoes. No fruit. No jelly for the toast. My sandwich was supposed to have chips. No chips. Rye bread was almost stale. Pierogies were prison rejects. My brother liked Caesar dressing on his salad another day. Roll was served warm, the warmer the better. Housemade Marinara sauce was very good. I won't recommend this diner. We came in at 4 the place was just about empty. We asked for a booth and the girl jammed us up next to a party of 6 at a table. Whole place empty but squeezed in like sardines. I commented on it and the hostess laughed. Nice. Order of pancakes came. I was given butter and syrup packets. Terrible. I had to use 6 butters and 3 syrup "packets". Pandemic is over bring out a syrup pourer. Ridiculous. On to the scrapple. Was awful. Tasted like it had been in the fridge and they brought it out and microwaved it. Not fully cooked. Gross. Next, the entire time we ate they vacuumed around us. Wtf. Vacuuming while customers eat, including next to their table is not ok. You can clean at closing time not an hour before. Walked out with less than half of the food eaten and no one asked if there was an issue. I'm guessing that's because they know and they don't want confirmation. I hardly ever make it through Coopersburg without stopping at the Coopersburg Diner. Seating is always available at the counter (although there's rarely a wait for tables), and service is diner-fast. Wait staff is universally attentive, although more business-like than chatty. Menu is extensive, and includes vegetarian choices. Having opened in 1979, it's a relative newcomer to Coopersburg, but I don't hold that against it. My personal recommendation is the veggie burger, but be sure to get it with the mushrooms (and possibly cheese), that really kicks it up several levels. Also, I recently tried the sweet potato fries - very good, spring for the additional $1.75 and get them instead of the potato chips that come with it. read more

This place was about average for a diner. There was ample parking, which was nice. We came for lunch on a Sunday and had quite a wait time. The staff seemed a bit disorganized. Some told us we were not allowed to sit at the bar, while another said we could. I feel that the biggest plus was that you get a decent amount of food for the price for the entrees. They came with a salad, soup, and a vegetable. Our main issue was that everything was blatantly under seasoned. I got the Tuscan Chicken. I love the combo of spinach, red peppers, and mozzarella on the chicken, but it didn't even taste as though it was salted. I added salt and pepper which helped a bit, but I had to dip it in some balsamic salad dressing to make it pleasant to eat. My fiance got the Chicken Cordon Bleu. He said it was cooked perfectly tender in some places but was dry in others. He said it didn't have nearly enough sauce and had to request an extra cup. They actually don't use the usual sauce on chicken cordon Bleu, but they use honey mustard instead. It was a decent portion of chicken but that just seems like a cop out not to cook the sauce. Occasionally I find myself stumbling across Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, and I ALWAYS have to stop at the Coopersburg Diner. I had the Texas burger on my most recent stop, and boy did I feel like I was in the Lonestar State. From the perfect medium burger, to the homestyle fries, every aspect of the meal was spot on! The service was phenomenal, and the food was delivered in an extremely timely fashion, despite the large crowds from the holiday season. The decor was beautiful as it was a week before Christmas when I visited. It felt as if I was walking into a winter wonderland. Perfect atmosphere for the season! I love diners within themselves, they are my favorite place to eat and I am always on the lookout for new diners to eat and at review, where I also can be very critical of my reviews. I am proud to say that among the few diners I hold in the highest regard, Coopersburg is one of them. I've been coming here for years and each time it is a great experience without fail. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert I have never disliked anything I have eaten here. The service is always great and no matter how busy it is, no matter the time of the day, the food comes out quick and delicious. I always make sure to try new items on the menu, because they have many amazing options. Its located off of Route 309 and the parking is decent, even if getting onto 309 could be pain due to traffic sometimes (it's still worth it). It's a shame I don't live closer, but whenever we are going to Allentown, Bethlehem or anywhere up north, going to or coming back Coopersburg is a sure stop. I had the fresh broiled salmon with corn, beef brisket soup, and a side salad with French dressing. It was all very good. I also had breakfast there once. I forget what I had for breakfast there, but it was very good. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.
