I went there with friends who wanted to eat there. I ordered a Reuben sandwich.. it was disgusting..more fat than meat and it was sliced very thick and was also very dry. I sent it back and ordered the French dip sandwich instead... Another BIG fail.. so salty I couldn't eat it yet the au jus had absolutely no flavor at all. My friend ordered the broiled haddock which was way over cooked. The bar area was open but the dining area was not. The tables in the bar area were those high top kind with tall stools..not good for wheelchairs.or anyone not able to climb up on that kind of seating. I have bad knees and could not manage the kind of seating. The stools at the bar itself were a little ( not much ) shorter .I did not see any waitresses who could accommodate a table in the dining room. I've been going here for YEARS with my friends for trivia night. Some of us have moved, gotten married, had kids, but we still come here when we can to get together. I am so happy they are getting ready to open back up post-covid shutdown. The food is high quality bar food, if that makes sense. There's no "fusion" or "deconstructed" items but also it's not just plates of greasy food. The portions are big and the prices are low. But don't let the low prices fool you-the food is delicious! The service was ridiculous waitress still charged me for the drink although they should have there menu FIXED Celtic's Pride Drink or Bowl. Coops is an amazing spot, great bar food but also the specials have a nicehome cooked feel to them. The pizza is delicious and the drunken buffalo meatballs are a one of a kind flavor you must try. It's ok... 3.85 stars... a blue collar bar that serves up the typical bar food. The staff is nice, and the place is a bit dark... but you'd expect that in a joint like this. Parking, ugh, the worst, it's 3A two lanes one lane two lanes and lights. It's Q-town so it is always going to be tight. Unfortunately the food is really going downhill a lot of the appetizers are not made on site and it shows. There's been a change of ownership and while he's a great guy it seems that he's not as invested as the prior owner was. While there have been some cosmetic improvements on the surface, the restrooms are in serious need of a full cleaning and update. The keno and waitstaff spend a lot of time on their phones, they could be helping the bartender clear and clean spots but they don't seem intuitive or motivated enough to step up. I think if the management stepped outside their comfort zone and started a feedback campaign with their regulars they would benefit from making changed following some constructive criticism. read more

Just went to watch the patriots game get some food and beer. The waitress was so rude. She didn't even acknowledge me just cleared the table. After sitting there for 15 minutes and watching her walk past me without even saying hello to us I asked for menus she gave me a hard time and had a terrible attitude. i'm guessing that she does not work on tips. A friend had highly raved about this place, and how good the food was. My husband and I weren't impressed. We have the buffalo meatballs, and they were okay - slathered in sauce but small & mediocre. They were likely frozen meatballs. I had the chicken parm bowl and again, not impressed. We made our first visit to Coop's on Friday night and it was amazing! Walked in to a lively crowd and a great atmosphere with flat screen's everywhere. There were six of us so we ordered a table full of apps and each one was delicious. Steak n Cheese eggrolls were the best as well as the Drunken meatballs!! Beer was ice cold and everything came out hot and fresh. Queen Cut Prime Rib was huge. Service was top notch ( Thanks Nunu :) ). We will be back for sure. read more

Good, but not special, food at a decent price. Like not your mom's cooking but maybe you're friend's mom...it's worth going back for since you know you'll be satisfied for the price you pay but it won't knock you off your feet. A lot of it seems pre-made or frozen. I usually get the fish with the Ritz cracker breading, so nostalgic to me. It comes with two sides for $13/14 I think. The popcorn they serve before the food is nice to munch on (and helps you drink more haha). Lots of beer options. Cocktails are often weak and usually really sweet, which is disappointing. They remind me of what I'd make in college. Staff are hit or miss, they're usually really active and attentive, but since it's usually really busy, you can tell they're spread thin but I've never had anyone very rude when I've gone, but it might take a while to get service if it's busy. Coops is a regular outing for me and my roommates in Quincy, the drunken meatballs are amazing and I get them every time even if I'm not that hungry. Coops is usually a consistent 5 star place when me and my roommates head to the bar to watch whatever game is on. However we went the other day with friends from out of town, there were a quite a few of us so we sat in the dining room which we never do. I think our server was new, there was only one other table in the dining room and she seemed really flustered drinks, order taking, were all very slow and check ins were pretty much non existent, I asked for a drink refreshment when she brought the food and didn't get it until my meal was done. I'm keeping this review at 5 stars because service is usually always great here, and I really do think our server was just new, and flustered but after our experience I'd definitely recommend the bar over the dining area. read more

Coop's is a great place to grab something to eat, drink, and watch the game. There's literally a television in every direction that you look!! I love bar room pizza and Coop's has some of the best around. When my girlfriend and I come here we tend to stick to the staple, cheese and pepperoni but it you are feeling feisty try the Drunken Monkey Buffalo Meatball pizza, it's like a spicey/sweet meatloaf pizza that leaves a kick in your mouth. Coop's is one of the only place's I know that shows the UFC fights with no cover. That being said, come here early because it gets packed!! It's a great atmosphere for the UFC fights too, one where it doesn't matter who you came in with because everyone ends up talking to the people next to them about the fight. I've had 20 and 30something's, to a guy in his 80's next to me and I couldn't think of a better crowd to be with. You would think that after spending a few hours somewhere drinking beers and eating pizzas that it would get expensive, but Coop's doesn't even come close to breaking the bank. I had an awful experience here regarding the service. A group of us wanted to grab dinner, we were told to sit on the bar side because there was a large party in the dining room and only one server was there. We sat down at the bar and waited about 10 minutes before anyone came over. The waitress came and took our drink order and gave us a menu. She came back 10 minutes later with our drinks and took our order. About half an hour later, we still got nothing. We couldn't even get a hold of the waitress to ask about our order, so we went up to the bar to ask one of the employees. He checked the system and said the order was just put in. We then asked to speak to the waitress and she was no where to be found. There was no apologies, nothing what-so-ever. The other employee we spoke to kind-of just shrug his shoulder. I've been here a bunch of times and I'm always happy with my experience. Firstly, the food is good. Everything I've ordered has always been delicious and very filling- I usually end up with a doggy bag. Be careful if you order the samplers, it's a lot of food. Secondly, the wait staff is always friendly and attentive. They're definitely knowledgeable when you're a bit indecisive and very patient when you're still being indecisive. I've also been here during trivia and it's really fun. It gets pretty busy on trivia nights and even then, the wait staff is great. A fact I didn't know until it was too late, the kitchen closes at 10pm. So if you're going to watch a game, or stay out pretty late, be sure to order before that time. Also, it gets pretty busy at night, in general. There have been times where I've walked in and all of the tables are filled and I walked right out. Fantastic food. Some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. They cut it crinkle style and it's fresh. It's also the first time I ever had American Chop Suey and Coop's was absolutely the place to try it. Steak tips here are also pretty good. There's a good amount on the menu that looks interesting. Buffalo bourbon meatballs, fried mac and cheese and a bunch of other stuff. It's also one of the cheaper places I've encountered, yet food quality does not suffer by any means for this. They also have $2 pizza Mondays and Tuesdays, which I have also yet to try. read more

I love the steak tips, meatballs, loaded nachos and their salmon when it's on the specials menu. Service is ALWAYS friendly, the waitresses are great - and they make awesome margaritas! My friends and I stopped here on by chance as we were headed to the South Shore Music Circus. Parking was great. They had a lot in the back and across the street. We were seated as soon as we walked in and our server was great and friendly. He immediately got us a pitcher of Red Hook Long Hammer IPA, and it seems like they had a good selection of beer on tap.He also brought us a bowl of popcorn which was nice to have something while we waited. It didn't take long to get our food either. My steak tips were good, I got the half order with fries and was satisfied. If you have a big appetite get the full order. The menu was pretty big and it seems like you could get anything in a bread bowl. Everyone at our table had a view of the Sox game on a different tv. used to love Coop's - it was our go to restaurant until this past Thursday. Ordered my usual pastrami no cheese and was just over half way through it when I found a massively long hair in it. Called the waitress over and told her. Her response was "can I get you something else" to which I said no, but asked for more water. She left the hairy food on the table to get the water. When she came back with the water I picked the plate up and showed her the hair which she then took out back to "show them". I worked in food service and know unfortunately it does happen, but I never received an apology or a visit from the manager, but she did be sure to let me know they took it off the bill. ummm thanks for not charging me for corrupted food I could not eat. Hands down my favorite place in the area to watch a Pats (or Bruins) game and grab a bite and a few drinks (along with addictively salty popcorn). With TVs all over, every seat in the place offers a view of whatever game is on. While table service can occasionally be slow, getting a bar seat always ensures quick service and a never empty glass. The bartenders are really great and service is always friendly. The food is also much better than your average bar food. The pizza is always really good, the turkey tips are a huge go-to for me (juicy and delicious) and the wings are great. Cagneys is a 30 second walk from my front door, but I will drive and choose Coops every time. read more

There is very, very little frozen food here. The food is just awesome and the specials are always different and delicious. Try the Drunken Buffalo sauce on just about anything...just amazing! Great pizzas, the house made marinara is chunky and tasty, the onion strings are handmade and divine...I've never had a bad meal here. You'd also be hard pressed to find a better, more attentive staff in the State! Very knowledgeable bartenders, great servers and the kitchen crew is great.
