Returned here for another go at their pasta dishes. To my surprise the staff remembers me!! The Christmas decor in the restaurant is well placed. I definitely feel welcomed here. I ordered polpette al forno, tagliatelle Bolognese, and Strawberry caipirinha. The polpette al forno meat is soft, tender and juicy. The marinara sauce on it is rich. The caipirinha with strawberry is good. The vodka in it doesn't overpower the fruit. Lastly the main dish, they did a good job in cooking tagliatelle Bolognese. The bolognese sauce is rich and savory. I can taste hint of sofrito in the sauce, which is a sign of authentic Bolognese ragu sauce. They also choose tagliatelle for the pasta which is better because it mix better with the ground beef on the surface compared to spaghetti or linguine. Definitely ask for extra cheese with this dish.

Sapori is Special! Sapori is the new Italian restaurant that used to be called Italian Cafe Gelato in Quincy. They rebranded into a gorgeous, romantic Italian kitchen and bar with options for dinner and lunch. They still offer Gelato, but either to go or for dessert after your sit-down meal. They also know authentic Italian food. Growing up in a big Italian family my Grandparents would cook Sunday dinner for all of us and I would be so excited to gather around the kitchen table. Sapori is very much like this and more, a true family-owned restaurant. They have a phenomenal cocktail and wine list, excellent staff and service willing to answer any questions and offer suggestions, and a menu with incredible mouth-watering dishes. You couldn't go wrong with anything you order. We shared the Chicken Piccata and it was exactly what we expected. The penne was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so good that I wanted to drink it (LOL). The chicken had a lot of flavor too. I just wish there was more for us to enjoy. We finished with 3 scoops of gelato (Pistachio, Tiramisu, and Dark Choc.) and oh wow was it perfect. We also shared an Espresso Martini. Sapori was superb and you need to go and try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed:) Cheers to Sapori and congrats..keep up the good work!

Can't say enough great things. Used to go all the time to get gelato and an iced latte with my son when it was just a little gelato cafe. That was our spot. Decided to stay local for our valentines dinner and tried the cute little Italian restaurant now Sapori. It was so comfy with the table cloths and little lamp. The feel of being right in a cozy Italian home is what I'd like to describe. The family was there and I'm pretty sure the son was our waiter. My son is 5 and he made sure he recommended some kid options that he would like. Everything was perfect. We will be back!!!

Best Italian south of the City. My fiancé and I go at least once a month. We love everything on the menu. The bread that they give you to start is unique and so delicious. Pastas are made in house. The drink menu is very special. The service is outstanding. Some of our favorite dishes so far are the bruschetta, melanzane app, bolognese, caccio pepe, and carbonara.

Great place to come for dinner on a date night. The restaurant is very cozy and have a romantic vibe. The owner Cleber is super friendly and took the time to answer our questions on the menu. The food were all so amazing, especially their homemade pasta. Every dish we ordered from the pizza, the pizza burger, risotto, linguine frutti de mare, home made Bolognese pasta was so delicious. We also tried their desserts. They were amazing but the tiramisu definitely stole the show. Best tiramsu I have ever had in Boston! Would definitely come back when craving Italian food.

After a rough flight to Boston, all I wanted was a bowl of pasta. My sister found this place and they were not crowded because they were getting ready for the dinner crowd. I love spaghetti arrabiata and ordered that. It was delicious and I finished my whole plate! The bread they gave us was hard and they didn't give us any butter. I don't mind the no butter as I do not eat my bread with butter, but it was unfortunate that the bread was not warm. Maybe it's because we came when they were in-between times? My sister ordered the pesto pasta and enjoyed it.

Who said you have to go to the North End for great Italian food? They have their best contender in the South Shore area - Quincy! You don't have to fight for parking as there are plenty of street parking around the restaurant and most importantly, they tastes GREAT! We learned from the kind owners, Cleber and ChiChi that Sapori was only opened for half a year but the place was well known to the community and was PACKED! They have authentic Italian food anf HOUSEMADE pastas. Their bread was a grandma's recipe, tiramisu was a mamma's recipe, and my favorite was the Fruitti de mare! The sauce was bold and flavorful and the seafood fresh, simply perfection. I cannot review enough about this place! GO CHECK THEM OUT!

Food is a little pricey but at least their portion is big. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Good for a casual dinner

We sat at the bar the first time we went and the bartender and one of the owners chatted with us and were very friendly. The second time we sat at a table and chatted with one of the servers who was nice. They all seem to be from Italy or have family there so I expected some really good Italian food and this place didn't disappoint. It's a small place but has a nice vibe. The pappardelle and the tagliatelle are homemade so we got both dishes with those pastas - Tagliatelle Bolognese and Pappardelle alla Napoletana (with cod, tomatoes, capers, olives and garlic). The pasta is so light and fresh and the portions are huge. The Ricotta Pizza was also delicious (with crushed tomatoes, shaved ricotta salata, fresh ricotta, and caramelized onions). Very reasonable prices! Don't forget some gelato after your meal - the pistachio and mint chip flavors are both excellent.

We also ordered their Caesar Salad which was good. I do remember this spot before it was Drifters and it was called Idle Hour which I loved so much. But I will say I am excited that a new pizza spot is now in its place. I think my next time that I try this will be physically at the restaurant. My only concern is that it is very loud. It is a great place to go watch sports for sure!

The place itself was small too so the music really overpowered everything. But once the live music wrapped up the vibes were good! Not too loud that I was screaming over it, but still lively. I got the Heart of Stone which was delicious! Not too sour or sweet, but was definitely a strong cocktail. I had 3/4 of it and I was already feeling it. My friend got an Old Fashioned and she was a big fan! It went down quite smoothly and tasted good too. For $14 a drink, it was a little pricy but honestly I've seen places in Boston charge more. I would recommend coming here to grab drinks but maybe not a spot to catch up because of how loud it was. Would love to try their food as it looked pretty good!

Not being from this area, I was very interested to try the food at Dotty's. Not only did it exceed my expectations, I will travel back here for another dinner. This might be my 3rd or 5th review because why not! When you find a place that you love you brag about it. For starters we shared their fried pickles with their homemade ranch dressing. We also love their stuffed dates. For entrees, I had their Salmon which is always cooked to perfection. My husband's had their Steak Frites which he enjoyed very much. Dessert is always a tough choice since all of them are excellent but this time we went with their brownie sundae. After plenty of glasses of wine and some dirty martinis let's just say we didn't want to leave but it was getting late. Yum. Yum. Yum!!!! I really loved this restaurant…read more To drink, I got the Spicy Cuke which came with a tajin rim & it was super refreshing, my friends got the Wildest Dreams and it was super light & fruity. To start we shared the Guacamole which came with tortilla chips and some sort of crema which was an nice addiction. When we finished the chips, but still had a guac left, they brought out more chips which was such a nice touch. For our meals, I got the carne asada tacos, as well as we got the fish tacos & the Cali Bowl and I really have no notes for any of the them! the tacos only had 2 in each dish but they were filled enough where it felt like enough food for a meal, and the bowl was large and a huge portion! We sat outside and while it was a beautiful day, the high top chairs were super uncomfortable, the actual seat was so small & they had no back, we found ourselves feeling pretty uncomfortable quickly. The service there is decent, but we only saw our waitress a few times and had to order another item & obtain the check through the manager walking. we sat outside on the pier overlooking the boats and the view is gorgeous. like you're already eating good food and then you look up and you have that. really hard to beat.
