I was tanning a few weeks ago at this Cop-A-Tan location. As I was in my room getting dressed, I could hear a woman at the front desk speaking loudly and very belligerently. After dressing, I went into the bathroom where I could still hear her yelling. As I left the bathroom, the lady walked out the door. When I approached the desk, I told the employee, Amy, I could hear the lady going off on her. I sympathized with her about how hard it is sometimes to deal with customers. I want to commend Amy for keeping her cool. I don't think I would have been able to do that considering the way the lady was going off on her. Kudos to Cop-A-Tan for hiring someone like Amy. She represents the business well. read more

I love the Versa Spa here. It's a great quick way to get a nice looking tan. It doesn't streak at all and I it last quite awhile. Also it dries you with heat, it's amazing! Staff are super friendly and helpful! read more

Stopped by to get info on the tanning beds and was greeted by Natalie who was friendly and full of knowledge (BIG PLUS)! Being a first timer, I was full of questions...Natalie was able to answer every single one of my questions and I was "SOLD." She's been wonderful every time I've come in. I have been here once a long time ago for mystic and it was great. I thought I would sign up for a regular tanning package. I called to get info because I don't have time to get in there and "take a tour" but they won't give me any info over the phone in fact was told sorry i have a few people in front of me so i cant help you right now at one point. Sorry but I won't be coming back. I found a place to give me the info I need over the phone FYI guys in this day and age people are busy and don't have time to come in and sit down to get all the info. Not to mention people look for immediate gratification and making an appointment, coming in and "taking a tour" makes them wait and change their minds or find a new place that will give the what they need when they want it. Sorry but I have to agree with the other people who have posted. I am sure this place is great but your losing business by not giving the info on the phone. read more

Do yourself a favor and use the Hermosa or Torrance Cop-A-Tan locations. Manhattan Beach, which used to be great, has really gone down hill. The attendants used to be so friendly and helpful. Those attendants no longer work there. Their replacements get 2 stars at best. They are slow, unfriendly and sometimes incompetent. read more

All I can say is this is where I spend my lunch hours! I am greeted every time by name and I just love this place. The girls at the front desk (sorry don't know your names) are always happy and pleasant. There is no chit chat amongst the girls when you leave the counter. It isn't noisy. My first time going here, i was really impressed! The girls working in the front, Amber and Kailey were really nice and very professional! Many tanning salons i have been to prior had very snobby staff, with Cop A Tan, this wasn't the case at all! Everything was very clean, and the whole decor was very inviting! Clean and good choice of beds. But the girl working was pushy as usual. Why can't tanning salons not feel like a debate and argument. No I don't want a package no I don't want the expensive one. I said yes to a sample lotion and she charged me and had me buy a whole bottle without asking. So rude. Won't be coming here again because of this. read more

Best tanning salon in the South Bay. When you get there ask for Sara. Every time I walk in Sara knows my name and asks me how I'm doing. Even when it's really busy she's on top of it and I never have to wait long. The store is always spotlessly clean, for any account issues I speak to Sara on what I need, and by the time I get out of a room it's been taken care of. For the price, you can't beat the service and availability. Definitely the spot to be if you're looking for a no stress, relaxing experience. read more

i give this place zero stars! seriously, sorry excuse for incompetent workers. i started tanning here in june 2016, found out i was pregnant. i froze my account here september 2016 because of pregnancy. i signed a waiver to freeze my account getting charged $5 a month... come to find out my card was charged $237 3 months later without my acknowledgment until i saw my monthly statement on my card. i haven't been here in over 3 months and they charged me.. i was charged because they cant find the original copy of the freeze waiver. i called later that day after seeing the transactions, heres what the lady in the front natalie told me "i dont know." so i spoke to the manager of the salon megan who again was no help whatsoever. all i wanted was for this problem to be resolved. i went into the store 3 days after the incident and introduced myself to natalie (the girl working the front) she was very rude and not helpful at all the whole 20 minutes i was there she was walking around talking on her phone rolling her eyes and not helping me like she said she would. i had my 7 year old daughter with me at the time, we were both sitting there waiting patiently. i asked natalie if she can call the owner so i can speak to a higher authority, she told me the owner didn't have a number. fast forward the situation i told her this needs to get resolved asap. i told her i wasn't going to leave until further action was taken and i stopped hearing "i dont know" as an answer. and with the meanest attitude natalie threatened to call the cops on me because i was "harassing" her. which i wasn't. natalie gets on the phone with her manager megan and tells megan should she call the owner and then laughs at my face a and says "the owner has a number and you cant speak to them." like seriously??? what kind of business is ran here? just really rude!! i will never be back here again. this is the worst customer service!!! read more

I've been coming here for almost two years now. Nice, clean tanning salon. I use to always deal with Chrissy, she is so very friendly and very knowledgeable! I don't see her quite often anymore and I don't get that friendly, welcoming vibe from the girl who works nights now. I come to use the tanning bed and i'm usually in and out, so thats perfect!!! Parking is usually easy to find, but at night is a bit busy! Overall would recommend this place to family & friends! My boyfriend now comes here!! read more

Staff is great, they get you in and out fast, plenty of beds to choose from as well as different levels of tanning. Now it does get busy in the afternoon, so make sure to call for an appointment, did I mention the staff was great read more

That membership is $250 for 15 months, and when the 15 months expires you must pay the $250 fee again or you will not be able to use any session remaining on your package at the same cost you originally paid.
