This sautéed mushroom complimented every meat they provided.

This place has phenomenal food but the icing on top was the customer service. First time coming and felt likely tipping everyone who assisted me. So much flavorful food was showing up, extremely quick service, I WILL BE BACK! Was not able to document all the food provided was too occupied trying to breathe after having my breathe taken away. Ambiance and music were also great.

Loved every bite! Consistent throughout the years! This is an ayce Brazilian Rodizio spot that has a variety of perfectly grilled meats on a skewer, sides and other specialties. Ladies night is on Wednesdays and is $50 per person, so we came with a large party to get this deal. At first, we were seated in a little nook to the right of the bar and it was such a weird vibe/ spacing as it's separate from the rest of the restaurant. However, they opened their covered patio section which we asked to move to. Service is okay in my opinion. There would be many times where our large party sat without any food being served to us. We also had to ask multiple times for the same cuts of meat to come to us, which it never did. However, the food quality has been very consistent throughout the years and it always hits the spot for me. Here some top rated items I got: Caesar salad - Creamy, crunchy lettuce with wonton chips instead of croutons Fries - A great pairing for your meats Crispy brussel sprouts - Loved this. Sweet and crispy. Got multiple rounds of this. Lasagna - GET THIS! So good and comes on a skillet. Saucey, cheesy and great switch up to the meats you're consuming. Pineapple - A must get. Who doesn't love sweet grilled juicy pineapple? Prime rib with cheddar - My absolute favourite cut of meat. So good with the oozing cheese that you seen coming out when they cut it. Parmesan filet mignon - A perfectly crusted parm exterior with perfectly cooked filet mignon on the inside. Garlic shrimp - A great seafood option that is different than eating all the steaks I can't wait to come back another time. Drooling as I'm writing this review as the food was THAT good. Service could definitely use some improvement though.

Great experience! Nice tour indoor environment with great information. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. $20 standard wine tour which you can apply $15 to wine purchase. They don't pressure you to purchase anything and they answer your questions promptly. We had a great experience and we will definitely come back to buy some local specialty wines!

Literallty 2 hours of sitting here watching everyone eat lol.

I want to take a moment to commend the management and staff at this location. Despite a less than ideal experience during our last visit, they went above and beyond to make things right for my friend and myself. We're fairly frequent customers at Copacabana, specifically at this location, and from our first visit back after that previous review, the service has been nothing short of exceptional. What's even more impressive is that this level of excellence has continued consistently since then. This has always been our go-to spot to unwind and enjoy ourselves after long, stressful stretches at work and it continues to be.

The food is extremely salty! It's delicious but be aware of that. We have always had a good time here.

But when Toronto…read moreLife hosted a special TL Insider dinner ($225 per person, inclusive of taxes and gratuities), curiosity won out. The prices listed below reflect the regular menu, though portions at the event were likely smaller than standard service. The evening began with a beef skewer ($31), featuring cubes of barbecued beef glazed in teriyaki and topped with plenty of chives. Unfortunately, consistency was an issue. Other guests raved about how tender theirs were, while mine arrived overcooked. It wasn't inedible, but it certainly wasn't tender. One of the restaurant's newer additions is its aged fish program, so I was eager to try the dry-aged salmon ($33). Listed as a "crudo," I expected delicate slices in a citrusy sauce, but it arrived as another skewer. The texture was undeniably smooth, with the dry aging removing any chewiness, but the salmon also developed a gaminess that lingered unpleasantly. A marinade or thinner slicing might help balance things out. I'm glad their signature Caesar salad ($24) remains excellent. It's beautifully balanced with acidity, savouriness, and thoughtful touches like buttery breadcrumbs and bacon bits that aren't rock hard. It's still one of the better Caesars in the city, though tableside preparation now costs an additional $10. Fans of tartare will likely appreciate the beef tartare ($41), which is prepared traditionally with minimally dressed hand-cut beef. Personally, I wanted more contrast in texture or flavour, though tartare has never been my go-to dish. I did appreciate the accompaniments of buttery crostini and gem lettuce leaves, which offered a lighter way to enjoy it. And for fans like me, don't worry their cheese bread puffs still make an appearance (along with their take home chocolate muffins). What continues to shine at Jacobs is the steak itself. The 40-day dry aged striploin was cooked beautifully, developing a crust that locked in the juices while maintaining tenderness despite being a leaner cut. The seasoning is more restrained, which allowed the volcanic sea salt and chimichurri on the side to actually enhance the beef rather than overwhelm it. The pecorino broccolini ($22) had me almost finishing off the plate and is such a nice accompaniment with the rich beef. The only disappointment was the duck fat fries ($21), which arrived lukewarm and slightly stale, likely a casualty of serving a packed dining room. Dessert ended the evening on a high note. The crème brulee ($21) was fantastic with visible vanilla bean specks throughout the silky custard. The sugar topping was thin and delicate, avoiding that overly sweet crunch some versions suffer from. Served alongside a sizeable chocolate biscotti and a fragrant orange shortbread cookie, it's easily large enough to share. With the expanded dining room, the front-of-house team has clearly grown as well. The staff is younger and fresher-faced, so any old-school steakhouse stuffiness has largely disappeared. More importantly, the service remains polished and attentive, and we were well taken care of throughout the evening.

The modern, chic decor sets a wonderful ambiance, and the service was immediate and welcoming. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We started with fresh, warm bread, followed by a flavorful seafood gumbo loaded with meat, and a generous portion of two lightly breaded crab cakes. For our mains, the 10oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection--compliments to the chef! They came with a lovely side of baby potatoes and vegetables. We capped off a perfect meal with a warm pecan tart and ice cream. I highly recommend coming here. We noticed they have a pizza oven and plan to add pizza to the menu soon; we already can't wait for our next visit to try it out! There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

The nut topping on the fish added a really nice crunch, contrasting beautifully with the soft, tender flesh of the fish. And then there was the duck: the clear standout of the night. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The fat kept it incredibly juicy without feeling greasy. The charred cabbage on the side added a subtle smokiness that tied everything together perfectly. It's a traditional form of Argentinian barbecue on the open fire. I've tried Brazilian rodizio and Venezuelan arepas but that was near the extent of my Latin American foray so it was exciting to taste the cuisine at this hidden gem. The must-get menu item is their charcoal grilled chicken. It's sort of akin to Portuguese chicken but in comparison the meat here is more juicy and better seasoned. The half chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender with slightly smoky flavours, then even tossed in chimichurri sauce. Perhaps greasy yet each meaty bite is satisfying! Honourable mention also goes to their empanadas. A pretty sight: golden baked crust folds over the fresh beef filling, that might be even better by the dozen. And at their price point, I can see why guests generally agree La Parrilla is a 5-star visit. I ordered ahead and the food was ready for pickup upon arrival to avoid any wait. Owner Serge was friendly about offering an extra sauce on the side along with chimichurri tossed on the chicken. Definitely get that sauce, as it adds dimensions to the asado / grilled meat. It's not easy for family businesses to operate these days, so I applaud that La Parrilla charcoal churrasqueria continues to offer top notch food from this little plaza.

For example, the black cod is usually feel heavy with the miso based sauce, but they added some acidity to the sauce and they made the black cod taste rich and light (not to mention the black cod was perfectly cooked); traditionally the Brussels Sprouts would be finished by tossing balsamic vinegar over it. Sometimes that would still feel heavy. Instead, they tossed it with strawberry vinaigrette. So the acidity is very light and not too sweet. We finished our meal with the Yokai Signature Maki. Yes, they SHOULD be proud of this Maki enough to put their name on it. They hit it on the nail with the taste profile. I have a zero tolerance with spiciness, so they put the spicy mayo on the side, and I encouraged my wife to dip the Maki with it. She confirmed my suspicion that the spicy mayo took the maki to another level. We definitely will come to try other dishes. Edit: they comped us a slice of Matcha Cheesecake. While it is still not my cup of tea, but I was very impressed with how good it taste. My "dislike" is with cheesecakes because they feel heavy. Though it is still on the heavy side for me, but as soon as I spoon in a bit of the strawberry sauce, it just lightened up the whole thing. They have successfully amazed me with how well they play with taste.
