I went back here with my beer drinking friend. He comes here every week and it had been over a year for me. We stopped in last Sunday Tom and Mel are still brewing beer and are now open on Fridays. But there are a few changes. While Tom still brews his flahship beers, he brews fewer styles. He offers a few other brewers' beer and now also sells his own flavored whiskeys. Was out and about with my dog and decided to stop and grab a beer. Found this place and had to stop! It's outdoor seating. They have an outdoor fireplace that is great. They also have outdoor games like corn hole and horseshoes . The bartender is really cool and was quick to say hello. This is a quirky and fun little stop on the way to Tombstone. It's basically set up in the owners yard, and it's a tent with a small bar. There's actually plenty of seating however, and it's not cramped in any way. The owners are very nice people and the beer was actually quite good! I especially enjoyed the Jalapeno Beer, it was spicy but not overly so, and it was quite refreshing and easy drinking. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

Tim, the owner, and his partner Mel are amazing hosts! I've tried their pork sandwich and chicken tacos so far in terms of food. Both were delicious - well cooked and seasoned (the chicken reminded me of the seasoned chicken in the embanadas from Iquitos Peru, where it's as fresh and tasty as you can get). Mel and Tom are an AMAZING couple that make some KILLER cider and beer! The ciders are actually made with champagne yeast so you get a lighter, fresher, and obviously less apple-y taste than a traditional cider. Super refreshing for a spring day! The tastings were in small glasses but were large pours, you definitely get your money's worth. A MUST do on the winery trail in Sonoita/Elgin. The property is animal friendly, (they have 2 pugs as well that are adorable), and currently have an outdoor tent that creates a great, friendly atmosphere to have a nice drink and conversation. They even gave us a quick tour and let us feed the donkey and horses! They let us know that soon they will also incorporate a coffee cart and food trucks, so we will definitely be back. read more

Recently we found ourselves on a Fall wine tasting trip in Sonoita. My husband had never been and for me , A lot had changed! For the good ... For one, THIS! As we scoured Yelp, one of us came along a brewery! After having been thru an afternoon of tastings , we both , more my husband than I , (I will admit!), wanted to sample some beer. I was happy to oblige him , as he had been such a good sport all day! Low and behold on a country road, there was a small sign , had we been traveling too fast, we would have missed it! This was the place! It's a small dirt road that lead to a small , small shanty and a small sitting area outside of a farm house. I was intrigued! I've never seen a brewery such as this! Okay maybe along the roads of Anderson Valley in a place called Booneville, Ca. near where I grew up in Mendocino. Things are always interesting there! We were more than welcomed by the proprietor. It's standing room only with a small bar and several ciders, IPA's , a dunkel, and other various brews. There's some cool art on the walls too! We decided to share a sample as the sample of ten brews is a pour that is quite generous with the ABV level being quite high on several of these beers! The gentlemen, was young, hip, an ex-Californian with a love of Arizona and beer. He was knowledgable and eager to explain the beer and how it all came to be. I liked him and his beers! I also liked the simplicity of the nano-brewery , he even explained the difference of a nano and a microbrewery, his brewery is obviously not big enough yet.. and he explained the grass roots of its up and comings. It must take a lot of blood, sweat, tears and money!! We know the guys from AZWBC in PHX and I recall when they began and how it was a gleam in their eye, this guy reminded me of them. We did not have a full pour of beer here, as we had tasted wines much of the day and still had to make our way back to Tucson to our resort for a dinner reservation. But! We liked ALL of the brews SO much, we purchased 18 of our favorites for later! He takes Apple Pay and I was worried at first being in this set up that maybe he took only cash! Nope! The grounds have hops growing right on the farm .. I could have hung out here all afternoon and felt welcome in doing so. I hope this place explodes in its business because I like to see a small local place really succeed and this place is legitimately JUST awesome! read more

This brewery takes brewing beer and cider SERIOUSLY. I have not been in the brewery because of the pandemic/ health cautions, but I have been to the coffee cart stand they set up several times. It's awesome. You can have a beer by the road (if you have someone to drive for you, haha, be safe!) and it looks like they serve home-smoked rib sandwiches and things too. We stock up on their pineapple cider and "hatchem high" beer and make 50/50 splits, pineapple jalapeño. It's delicious. They do a blueberry beer that, ok, I do not like blueberry flavored things but I would drink this beer with lunch every single day. It's perfect for summer and tastes like the fresh wild blueberries you can pick in Maine. It's great to see such a small operation produce such a variety of truly quality beers and ciders. I hope they get distribution in AZ and beyond so I can pick up a quad of their beers without having to drive all the way from Tucson. That said, it's a nice scenic drive! read more

We almost passed this place up. We decided to stop on a whim and I am so glad we did! We were welcomed and felt so comfortable from the moment we walked in to this hidden treasure. The owner was so fun and kept us entertained with great stories. We tried a flight and ended up sitting in the outdoor area with a cold one. All the beers were fantastic and I had to buy some to go. I would definitely recommend making the trip out to this spot and tasting the amazing beers. I truly think there is something for everyone here. My personal favorite was the dark beer with a hint of vanilla. I only have one left in my fridge, so I'll be making another trip soon. read more

I want to begin with I'm truly happy my bf and I are with this great place off of Sonoita. The service and staff were amazing and very nice. Our first experience there was a bust but not because of the service, but because of the utility's power outage. So, we decided to return the following day. We had the relleno bites, my favorite appetizer of all time. Then proceeded to get the Mac and cheese with breaded chicken. So absolutely creamy and fresh. I ordered the desert taco, so huge but so delicious and the wonderful green pork Chile is really the star on this, although the dough was quite light and fluffy. I am definitely going back again! If you love cider this is the place for you! You'll feel right at home as the owners are very welcoming and make some mean ciders! Our favorites are the pear cider, pineapple cider, and their grapefruit shandy. They also make a delicious chocolate tasting beer on tap that tastes like it was kissed by a brownie. Honestly though, bring some brownies with you because it would go great with that beer. You can sit back in their patio or enjoy a fun game of cornhole. The tasting portions are very generous and you can mix and match a 6 pack to take home. By far a great gem to stop at while in Sonoita/Elgin. read more

This place is literally a hidden gem..i don't know how i got here honestly but it might be the best mistake ever. I came up on this place as i took a wrong turn and it just happened to be their octoberfest celebration(yayyyy). I never knew there was a microbrewery in elgin and wowwww the beers and ciders they make here are no joke. Honestly the best ciders ive ever tasted are from this place. Pineapple, peach mango, and Shandy's all great fresh flavors. The beers were awesome high ALC. Volume but you cant tell lol. The ipas awesome but their jalapeno beer was outstanding. The whole place is unique its a small red barn ranch with a small little bar but that's the only thing small about it. Great crew here very friendly and just a really enjoyable place and perfect spot for a drink. The beer was delicious here and the owner provided a very "make yourself at home" atmosphere. She was very friendly and even offered me a room in her home should I decide to overindulge in her extraordinary beer. Truly the definition of hidden gem and once the word gets out they'll be over run. I imagine the only thing that could've made this place better was a food truck or two parked out front. Had lots of fun but I did get pretty hungry and noticed nothing is within walking distance if you need some food to soak up the beer in your belly. Just make sure you eat before or bring snacks but the beer can't be matched! read more

Such a random find, but totally awesome! Stopped in after visiting Deep Sky and they suggested it. We're gluten free and heard they had ciders and holy cow! These ciders are seriously legitimate. Took a chance and broke my gluten free diet for an IPA and it was so worth it. These people know what they're doing. They're starting to grow hops on their property and it's fun to see! This was a fabulous place to spend a Sunday afternoon! I am not even a beer fan but love their ciders and shandy. Lots of tasty brews if you are a beer lover too! Everyone very personable and friendly and lived the canines running around enjoying themselves. Can't wait til we have out of town guests to take there. My favorites pear and also the pineapple cider... would never have guessed I would have liked. My hubby loves the peach mango combo. Others there were raving about the microbrew on tap! You know it is good when people are laughing and buying to take home too. This is about 10 minute drive on 83 south from Sonoita not far from lightening ridge winery where we intended to stop but stayed too late at Copper Hop ranch even tho we were several decades older than everyone else there still very enjoyable and comfy outdoor seating in a rustic yet homey atmosphere ! read more

On our way back from camping we drove by this adorable looking farm brewery and just had to stop and check it out. We had our 2 dogs with us and the owner invited them onto the beautiful patio with us and got them water. She then led us through a fantastic, casual tasting of amazing beers and ciders. She also introduced us to 'wet hopping' and we got to check out some of her fresh hops growing in the yard. Definitely worth the stop! We will certainly be back read more

Stopped for lunch. Nice place, some good beer and a good menu. I had a good burger and the sweet potato fries were good, but they didn't really have a sauce other than ketchup for them. We asked for a side of Mayo and some hot sauce and made some. . Service was a little slow for a Sunday. We would stop again next time we are there, but not quite four star. read more
