This place has potential to be a 5star review. We get there & grab a table. We order two local draft beers. They were not cold. They came in plastic cups. Which seemed weird, but come to find out. They don't have many glasses. That's disappointing. We ordered the fried mushrooms. Which were great. I loved how they sliced them & then breaded & fried them. We ordered the Jameson glazed chicken wings. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly, but the glaze didn't stick to the wings. I think there glaze needed to reduce more to actually be a glaze. We did finish the evening with the irish breakfast shot. It was ok. The Jameson needed to be chilled. The takeaway was the two man band was entertaining & our server was great. However, it seems to change owners frequently or something, because in the past couple years, both the food quality and the wait service have suffered. You might get a lucky day, and the food is prompt and hot, or you might pull a bad one, and sit waiting forever just to get someone to take your drink order. Stopped in for a few beers and to watch college football. The atmosphere and bar itself is cool. Bartenders and servers were all very friendly. The bathrooms were clean. The mac and cheese is really yummy!! The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because one or more of the staff kept throwing dishes into the dirty dishes bucket, which makes a really loud, crashing sound that is startling and extremely annoying. read more

After looking over the menu we decided to try the Sheppards pie and a few drinks. Let me say this sheppards pie was delicious and our food was delivered hot and fast. We sat at the bar for nearly 10 minutes before we were acknowledged, and sat even longer waiting for him to take our order. He did spend a lot of time chatting up a couple of young ladies at the bar. We ordered their signature baked Mac and cheese and Reuben sandwich. The mac n cheese was really bad, it had no flavor other than the heat they put in it (menu didn't mention it was spicy), mac was dry, over heated and had no flavor. It was just awful. Nice atmosphere right off of Central. There is parking on the street but it is right. My suggestion would be to park in the back side off of Malvern. The salads are very good and fresh. The burgers are good sized and cooked really well. Go for the appetizer sampler- it has a lot of food and it is all good! The fish and chips- well you can't go wrong with these! Went here by chance my wife and I don't drink out but was told the food was good had Irish fish and chips and the Irish max and cheese both where awesome. Great little pub. We hit this place on a Friday night for a few drinks. Very good vibe, cold draft beer and lots of choices. We didn't have anything besides beer but they have a well stocked bar from the looks of it. We ended up coming back the next day for more drinks and got the appetizer sampler. All was good. Also, there was a lot of TVs with college football on. We will be coming back here next time in Hot Springs. read more

We've come here a few times.. love hot springs!!! Every time we've come here we've met some really great people, and have made some friends out of it! Well we didn't go till Sunday (horse race and 1 st week of Spring Break). So they were out of a lot of food. My husband wanted wings. So we didn't stay. We visited the Copper Penny Pub in downtown Hot Springs on a Sunday night, our first night, during our weeklong visit. We mainly went because it seemed to be the only place open on Sunday, but we lucked out that it was such a fantastic experience. We were seated right near the front window, so we had great views of both the inside of the restaurant and the downtown area outside. Being the spicy foods addict that I am, I ordered their Hell Fire Burger, which is a burger made with fresh jalapeno and bell pepper, and topped with jalapeno jack, a fire roasted jalapeno and jalapeno avocado aioli, and served on an jalapeno bun. It's a jalapeno-lover's dream burger! As if that wasn't enough, to complement the burger, I ordered the panzanella as my side (thanks for options!). The panzanella is a small salad (no lettuce) that comes with jalapeno croutons, grape tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, roasted red pepper, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, and capers tossed in red wine Dijon vinaigrette. YUM! I washed that all down with a delicious Hoegaarden beer. The food was all fresh and delicious, and our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was great. The service was not. Me and a friend arrived right at opening time, and we waited 10 minutes before we were even brought a drink. We ordered and waited. People came in after us and got their food and left before we ever got our food. We waited an hour. There was only one waiter on the floor and that's why. He was very nice but he's having to take orders, clean up, give drinks and food, and ring up. We also were not welcomed into the establishment when we walked in, and it was a very weird feeling since before then, there was a cook (I think) outside that being very rude to me when I asked what time they open. While in Hot Springs we decided to eat near the Bath Houses. Now I understand why there were open tables and we were told "sit where you want." That's because they don't care. Our waitress took a smoke break so our food sat and the fries we paid $2 extra were cold. The club sandwich and chicken breast sandwich were mediocre quality. I asked the waitress if we offended her because we did not get refills unless we asked and our glasses were empty but other patrons received refills before there glasses were half empty. I cannot explain how grateful we are for this place. Traveling with two kids under 7 and an infant and 6 adults is not easy. We were basically being laughed at out of restaurants to get tables. The service was quick when we were actually checked on and the food was quick but severely lacking in quantity (in my humble opinion). Also, when we asked for extra sauce we were brought out roughly an ounce to work with between the two of us. I love this pub! When I arrived it was just before 6pm which is when their happy hour closes. Roy the bartender was great, kindly allowed me to get one $3.5 happy hour margarita and get one for rang in for later. They were quite tasty and an excellent value! I inquired about their turkey on the menu to find out it was freshly cooked in house! I ordered the club sandwich with their music strings ( onion and jalapeño straws).
