This coffee shop is a great hang out. Great coffee, tea, food and the Gelato is FANTASTIC!

Was in the area for a work conference, and decided to venture out to find a place to get a coffee and do some reading during the evening hours. Copper Rock was a great find! Good nitro, spacious with plenty of seating, and lots of character. There is a gallery attached with beautiful artwork and photography, and a piano which some kids practiced on, adding to the ambiance. Enjoyed that wonderful cafe background buzz while I read - cheerful and relaxing. Noticed the gelato case and had to try some, the espresso gelato was fantastic!! Wish I had more time to try the food and other treats. If I'm in the area again, I'll be back. read more

My colleague and I have only been in town for a couple of days, but we have determined that Copper Rock is the best place in Appleton. From their delicious sandwiches (gluten free bread, thank you!) to their great selection of drinks (hello kombucha!), to their super friendly and caring service (lookin at you, Alex & Olivia!), and the abundance of comfy seating, this is definitely our spot for future biz trips to Appleton. This is my favorite coffee shop of all time! I am a coffee shop fanatic. Their chai's are to die for. I grew up in Appleton and moved away a few years ago, I've been looking for a local coffee shop that serves amazing Chai like Copper Rock (I'm not a fan of spiced chai which pretty much all other coffee shops serve it seems) but have had no luck. I half wish I never tried their chai so I'd have nothing to compare other chai's to which is sad because I lived in Madison for a year and now Chicago. I have a huge sweet tooth so pretty much all of their drinks are perfect for me. The live music is always great and it's a sweet coffee shop to hang out in or get work done. Plenty of seats :) Every time I have a chance to visit home I always make sure to stop by Copper Rock for my chai. P.S. If you're a chai lover, my personal favorites are the raspberry and chocolate chai. Otherwise the tuxedo mocha is mouth watering too! read more

Great ambience, love the coffee and tea options, tasty breakfast! I only have been for breakfast but the desert options for afternoon/evening look great too! I also have only tried their espresso drinks but since these were so good I would imagine their tea would be as well! A must try! read more

I love Copper Rock. I was going there since the beginning and the staff is pretty much the nicest group of people you will ever meet. Please try the "Berry Boost" or "Berry Blast" I can't remember what it is called exactly, but it is incredible!! It has such a great relaxing atmosphere, and brings some coziness to downtown Appleton. Good for Knitting by the fireplace and watching the passers by on a chilly Wisconsin night. read more

This cafe is close to work, and I've been here for a few different coffee drinks and food items. I actually like their lunch and tea more than their coffee; their drinks are just a bit too sweet for me. But, their sandwich menu is very good, and I like the ambiance. College Avenue's Copper Rock Coffee is a true treasure for downtown Appleton. I have enjoyed coffee and an occasional meal here for many months for several occasions. It is the perfect place to meet a friend or coworker, have a meeting, or cozy up in a booth for an afternoon of computer work. The coffee is reasonably priced and I love that they offer refills for a less than $1.00! My only suggestion is bring a sweater, with the high ceilings, it tends to get drafty. read more

We stopped here for breakfast on our recent trip to Appleton. What a Gem! Lacy is right! It is like a neighborhood bar. The Staff is friendly. The space is open and welcoming and most importantly, our Coffee and food was great! I had a Cinnamon Scone and a Salted Caramel Mocha and Diane had a slice of Cheesecake and a Turtle Mocha. As were we leaving I noticed two very cool accessibility features. The area by the front window that had comfy looking chairs and couches actually had a ramp for wheelchair access. Next time we will definitely take advantage of that! They also had a working automatic door opener on their entrance. I wish more places would do this. It just makes my life a whole lot easier! Copper Rock will definitely be a regular stop on my trips to Appleton! read more

i went in here thinking the coffee would be great since there were a lot of people sitting around with their laptops or textbooks doing homework and people chatting. i came here about three times, each ordering something differet. the hazelnet latte isn't that good. i'm not sure if it's the syrup or the latte or the way the guy made it, but it was just okay. the apple cider is pretty normal too and could have been sweeter. the best drink was the hot chocoate on a really really cold night (like the -10F night when I went). I had a chocolate rasberry cheesecake and i thought that was probably the best item to eat. i didn't get a chance to make it for dinner but i'm sure the paninis will be good. they close the kitchen pretty early. there's a good number of local magazines and newspapers to read to find out happenings going around in the area. read more

Average coffee in an above average space, an old industrial city building with the requisite faded brick and nice high ceilings, all beautifully lit and decorated. Lots of comfortable seating options, from tables to benches, coaches, armchairs and booths. Very comfortable place to get your caffeine fix. read more

I like Copper Rock. It is somewhat overrated for there are many other amazing coffee shops on College Avenue but Copper Rock has very good coffees and for the most part very good service. It does get crowded especially at night. Copper Rock also features many bands that make for a pleasant evening. read more

Copper Rock was listed under the Bagel category, which is why I went this morning. I just wanted a good bagel with cream cheese. They only had one choice of bagel ... plain. They had several different bagel breakfast sandwiches. The bagel was good and the cream cheese was the institutional style vacuum packed variety. I sure do miss Sue Ann's Bagels! read more

My favorite coffee shop in town! Baristas are always friendly. Plenty of seats. Sometimes they reserve the gallery (the other room) for different events, but I have never had problems finding a seat. It's my regular Friday and Saturday night study spot (they close at midnight these two nights!:)) Coffee tastes great and reasonable price! Plenty of food portions and gelato (I haven't tried them yetOnly a few of outlets in the room with booths but plenty of them in the gallery. Sometimes they have live music going on. If you want a quiet place to study, you can always check their Facebook page about their events. Overall, I am so glad to have this coffee shop in town! read more

I ordered a small latte for-here, and I think the order got a little messed up, so I had to go back and ask for it. Unfortunately, when they remade it, they made a "latte" that was all foam......
