One of my girlfriends and I enjoy getting together on occasion for weekend coffee. She picked this spot and I'm glad she did! It's unique in just about every visual aspect. Converted gas station into a coffee station with kitschy interior - literally no bare nor boring spot on the walls! There was a bit of a line when we arrived which in theory should give me time to figure out what to order. Their focus is heavy on coffee/tea which some bakery goods (to my knowledge at the time). I got a little flustered when the line cut short quickly and one of the baristas asked me what I wanted. When I explained I'd never been there, she welcomed me warmly and gave suggestions based on my love of cold coffee. I grabbed a bagel too and didn't know I had to specify light/little cream cheese because they shcmear that shiz on there. Pro tip tell them what you want on the bagel! Apparently they have more than bakery goods but their menu doesn't specify that. My iced coffee was really good - creamy, not bitter nor acidic. This is for sure my favorite coffee shop. The staff is friendly, efficient and they all make really good coffee. (Also the coffee is priced really well). The pastries are made with love and taste amazing. The owner is one of my favorite people I've ever come across. Ok I cannot praise CS enough. I just am in love with this place. Everyone who works here is wonderful and sweet and the whole vibe is just so amazing. I also cannot get enough of their Bodega Bagel it's phenomenal (I get it w the vegan cream cheese cuz allergy). Any time I've had an issue (once it had dairy cream cheese) they just gave me my order for free. Not saying that free stuff is the reason they're great, but it was just a nice experience. This is my first walk-in visit. The shop is small but they have three round tables with room for four seats. They also have a larger rectangular table near the door that seats two. There is an outlet for powering your computer or other electronic device. Inside there is air conditioning. There is also patio seating. I tried the Cafe Americano cold. They fixed it exactly to order with cream and Splenda. For lunch I ordered the "Cuban Sandwich" and it was cooked to order. It was delicious. The ambience is quite Californian. This is a contender for most hipster coffee spot in the valley, but also an underrated place to get work done or chill. It's a converted gas station that kept much of the retro aesthetics, including the vestigial pumps out front. The interior is cozy and quiet, and a great place to relax with your friends. They have always excelled in their lattes and mochas, especially of the Lavender or "Tuxedo" varieties. If you'd like a sugar rush with your caffeine, you'll certainly leave fulfilled. Overall, I'll always be a huge fan of their style, and how seamlessly this cafe integrates with a bustling neighborhood--it's never garish or pretentious, but it is humble and good-spirited. After my Starbucks meltdown earlier in the week I was in the hunt for a new place - found it. The coffee is good, and more importantly (according to my wife), the iced tea is waaaaay better here than anywhere else around. Win! Took me a while to take in the decor and get my head around all the details that make this such a great spot - the coffee bean bags on the ceiling, the artwork on the walls, the drive-through that's was a gas station forecourt, the pulley chain is even still in the ceiling! The place is super mom and pop looking however it has good vibes. The employees were very friendly and the drive through was adorable. Had the lavender latte and my favorite part was the size! I've always backed out of coming here due to their inconvenient parking situation, but was finally determined what made Copper Star a star coffee shop making it one of the Top 10 Coffee Shops in Phoenix! I love how charming the cafe was, totally retro and it being an old gas station with a functioning drive thru. Taking a peek at the menu, they serve coffee and tea, pastries as well as food items. The gal who took my order was absolutely sweet and gave me recommendations, although I had my eyes set on the Lavender Mocha, she suggested it with white chocolate and so it was. I also wanted a bite to eat and settled for the Blueberry tart, which she so kindly gave it to me on the house for being a first timer. If that isn't hospitality, I don't know what is! My Lavender Mocha was delicious iced, good lavender flavor without being too soapy and perfectly sweet with a good caffeine buzz. The white chocolate recommendation was great! The Blueberry tart was amazing, one of the best fruit tarts I've had in a while. The crust was so buttery and crumbly with the blueberry compote naturally sweet and a perfect proportion with the crust. The atmosphere is great for studying and working, as there are tons of seating ranging from bar, table and sofa. Outlets available along the wall for those using their laptops. Huge windows, garage doors, really let in the natural light and let you admire the outdoors in the AC filled cafe. Loved the service here, the environment and quality of coffee and pastries. Two thumbs up and definitely going to be back to try more of their awesome and yummy looking pastries and drinks! Only docking a star, maybe 1/2 a star, for the large amounts of flies in the shop and the fact I got bit by two mosquitos sitting in the back corner of the cafe. NBD. read more

Not sure what beans they are using, but my Americano was excellent. Definitely a drink that I would order here again. I did make the embarrassing mistake of ordering a "tall" rather than saying 12 ounce. The person taking my order starting pulling a cup out of the stack that seemed to be taller than the Empire State Building, while saying "this or do you mean this?" without missing a beat and also pulling the 12 ounce size cup. I am vacillating between 3 and 4 stars. I liked the overall feel of the coffee shop. The barista was very personable and the flavor of my vanilla latte was smooth. The actual physical space was interesting with enough room for a few groups or couples to sit and enjoy their coffee. They have two couches that would allow five or six people to enjoy a relaxing coffee meeting. The outside area has a number of tables and some trees and shrubs but it could definitely use a broom and a clean up. Overall, this is a good local coffee shop. read more

The tomato- fresh, not over ripe sliced perfect not too thick not to thin, part of ever bit. The Mayo- not too much just right like the 3rd bowl of porridge. The BACON- pièce de résistance don't know what brand they use. But it's BOMB. And they do not skimp let me repeat they do not skimp. Do to the simplicity of the BLT it is the best. To our surprise, they had a drive through so we didn't even have to leave our vehicle. We ordered a white chocolate mocha and lavender latte, which were both delicious!
