Very poor service received this evening. Ordered some rather simple meals from a limited menu. There were 9 people at the table. First 4 meals came out an hour after ordering. Next 4 meals were served approx. 20 minutes after the first wave and the last person did receive his meal for another 20 minutes. His meal included burnt fries, a 3 count chicken fingers that looked more like chicken nuggets. Servers must be instructed to say I am sorry your meal will be out shortly. O sense of concern or urgency was shown on anyone's part and all along as the owner sat at his table and I am sure received his meal in a reasonable time frame. They definitely need to work on customer service and customer engagement. Very disappointing read more

Arrived at the restaurant about 6:00 p.m. only about 20 people in the restaurant, set in the bar area and waited at least 10 minutes before order was taken, bartender saw me the whole time I was here, but basically just ignored me. This is just a fun place to hang out for drinks and dinner. We have been here several times and the food is awesome and the service great. They have live music most weekends with a great outdoor bar and seating area. They have a play area where you can let your kids off the leash safely! Plus they won't be in any adults way. There's a small inside bar area with plenty of tv's for watching sports. The dining room is well designed and not to loud when it's busy. The menu is varied with pastas, salads, burgers and well prepared American fare. read more

There's nothing exciting to say about this place. It's in a beautiful country club in Alabama from the outside, but the restaurant feels and looks almost like a truckstop diner. The food is just okay. I love queso and it tasted like it was from a cheap movie theatre here. My boyfriend got the fish tacos though and said they were fair. Again, go. Don't go. Back at Coppers for Sunday brunch and I must say there is a definite improvement!!! Not only did they have the advertised fruit cup but it was good, fresh and tasty. Our server, Gabby, was polite, courteous and efficient. Amber's drinks are always just right ...showing her experience and the kitchen prepared our food correctly and swiftly. I wish that they would use ham chunks in their omelets rather than sandwich slice ham. You're headed in the right direction...just concentrate on improving your meals. We are glad to have Coppers in our community and we are glad to see their positive response to our reviews. read more

Most recent experience is today's Easter brunch. 1)Seated quickly...no cutlery, no water, no server. 2)Went to buffet line without ever seeing the server, no plates. 3)Back to the table, still no cutlery/napkins/beverages...so I made trip #1. 4)Bite of food, now cold, still no drink/server...trip#2 for water. 5)Had to ask 3 different servers for 3 glasses of water. Back to table, no server had been there yet. I need a mimosa. Trip #3 to inquire about mimosa bar. I need a server to bring it to my table. REALLY? Lesson learned...DON'T GO TO COPPER'S GRILL UNLESS YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME AND PATIENCE! When you do, identify who your server is IMMEDIATELY, and make sure they know you are present! We have tried Copper's 3 times. We want to really like it. First time we went it was good. Server was great. Second time, we were seated fast and waited a very long time for food, which when finally came wasn't even hot. We told the server and she said that the staff in the kitchen was struggling to keep up. Third time, we were seated fast. Note that we came on 3/16/19, and they were celebrating St Patrick's Day. There was a very limited menu. We opted for chicken fingers dinner, bacon cheeseburger plate, fish taco plate and chicken wing appetizer. Chicken finger plate was $15 with 4 itty bitty fingers and cold fries. Wing appetizer was 10 wings. They were room temperature. Fish tacos were $18 for some Old El Paso crappy tacos with about 1/4 cup rice and beans...definitely not worth $18 dollars. Bacon cheeseburger was $15 and had cold fries as well. Bill totaled $75 with tip. And not worth that. We had to wait for our server for drinks and to get our check. It just wasn't a great dinner for $75. For $75 you want good portions and hot and delicious food. Live and learn. We won't go back again. It's sad too because there are limited options at Lake Martin this time of year. We wish we would've taken pics of the chicken fingers and tacos, but didn't think about it until we got into the car. They were laughable. read more

We were told the wait for a table would only be 15 min. No one else was waiting for a table. 40 minutes later we were finally seated. Then no one came to the table to greet us or take our drink order. Then a host came to our table and asked if she could have the 2 chairs we weren't using, we told her only if she would go find our server because we hadn't seen them yet and we were thirsty and hungry. She just smiled and took the 2 chairs. 5 min later, we still had not been greeted. By now it was 9:30pm. We left hungry and drove 1.5 hours home. On our way out, the host asked if we were leaving, we told her yes, because no one ever waited on us. She just smiled and watched us leave. read more

Would really like to rate them higher but in all honesty, two stars is about right. Everything is just ok. Nothing is great, nothing is excellent. It also loses a star for constant billing errors. Check your bill carefully as ours has been incorrect several times. Twice, after pointing out the error, it came back wrong again. This place seems to have turned the corner and got its act together. We dined here a couple of times early in the season, but slow service kept us away for a while. Last night (Friday of Labor Day Weekend) was the best service we have experienced in a couple of years. We were seated outside, with a good crowd and live music. Our server was kind and prompt. I had blackened catfish and a wedge salad, and my wife had a salad with grilled chicken. Food was very good. We will return. Glad to see the place doing so well. read more

Recently had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Copper's (6/30/2017), somehow it was forgotten to make reservations for the group, so we showed up and they managed to fit the entire group into one area. The management was very friendly and understanding and surprisingly they were able to seat us within a rather short time, despite an almost full house. The server had her hands full, but she did a great job taking care of 17 rowdy, hungry and somewhat tired members of the wedding party. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Waited to be seated half an hour then was asked to move bc another group wanted the table to be near their group but they didn't show up for another thirty minutes! Took forever to order and get drinks. Used menus we looked up online bc they didn't have any printed!! Waited two hours for dinner. Asked for a manager bc the waitress wasn't able to get the kitchen cooking. Come to find out there is twenty minutes that are unaccounted for from the time we order and when it was reviewed in the kitchen. Mediocre food, terrible service. It took us 25+ minutes to get our drinks delivered and an hour to receive our food, despite the restaurant being empty. Everyone's order came out at the same time, but mine came 20 minutes later, after everyone else finished their meal. No apologies or recognition by the waitress. When the food finally came, it was over-seasoned and not hot. Not to mention, our waitress left us for 30 minutes at a time. Once again, not a busy night. Located in the club house at the golf course in Stillwaters, Copper's Grill has a very nice menu. Salads, Steaks, Pasta and Seafood. House made dressings were good and the view of the golf course a nice place to have a meal. Looking forward to dining here often. read more

This golf club did not impress me one bit. My family and I were here for their Easter brunch this year and we were not happy with the service. We had a reservation and were seated relatively quickly. Once at the table, we were not greeted by a server. EVER. There weren't any plates at the buffet and I had to ask for some. We also had to ask for silverware and even that took too long of a time to get. Once we got to looking around the buffet, half of the buffet options were gone and not being replaced. The food was cold and no one ever ended up coming to ask what we wanted for beverages. THE. WHOLE. TIME. The only time they came over was when someone from our table had to wave for someone and even then they didn't come over. Just an overall bad experience and wouldn't recommend. If you are on the hunt for bad service and an understaffed restaurant, then this is the place for you. read more
